Hi, I am someone who is thinking of buying Developer Edition.
My carrier, SKTelecom, is using 850Mhz LTE band for the main frequency, and 1800Mhz for their secondary frequency. However, due to geographical limitation of secondary frequency, I have no choice but to buy 801n or Developer Edition.
However, I am worried of not being able to use 850Mhz band of LTE. One of my friends bought One Developer Edition from US, and tried to use in that LTE 850Mhz areas, but he could not connect to LTE network. Only 3G worked.
So, I asked him for whether the pre-requirements were met or not. I asked such things;
1) Did you set the proper APN for LTE? (lte.sktelecom.com)
2) Did you set the network mode as WCDMA/GSM/LTE auto, or LTE only in that hidden 4686 menu?
3) Did you really tell the carrier to recognize the phone?
But, everything were correctly set, and there is no reason for being unable to use 850Mhz LTE band.
In a nutshell, I have no One Developer Edition now, and I am in the dead end. I don't know how to solve this. Would there be any solutions? Or, Is there anything I can check?

Hello, i would like to see if the HTC One will have aws frequency or a way to get aws on the phone. I am now on wind Canada, which requires me to have a AWS compatible phone (1700/2100) I know it ships with aws LTE on T-Mobile so I was wondering if there is a chance it will come with aws 3g or a chance to change its AWS LTE frequency to 3g/HSPA frequency?
I right now have an HTC HD2 which broke a few days ago, getting a digitizer so i can switch it, but if i can't save it, The HTC One is my first purchase, as long as it has the proper frequency.
The T-Mobile HTC One will have the proper bands, for WCDMA. For LTE I don't know.
The HTC One is my first purchase, as long as it has the proper frequency.
I hope thy do, only the frequency is stopping me from buying the developer edition. I need aws and in read on gsmarena and a few other pages that it does not have AWS for 3g, only LTE. I love the phone, it looks nice and is really good. I just hope htc becomes smarter and makes it aws-compatable.
I want to get the HTC One but apparently it does not support my carrier bands. It appears that the t-mobile version of htc one has the required 1700 band but I am not too sure if I am doing this right. Basically does the t-mobile version of htc one work with wind? (wind apparently supports only the aws band, the full FAQ on wind's website:
There are a few criteria for bringing your own unlocked phone with you to WIND:
a) Must be compatible with our network. The WIND Mobile network uses a frequency called AWS, with bands 1700/2100.
b) Must NOT be locked to another carrier
c) Phones compatible with the U.S. T-Mobile network often work with WIND)
If not, are there any versions of the one that do? I don't really feel like going all the way over to the us to get the phone but if there are no other alternatives, I guess I'll just have to do it. Thanks.
Anyone? A simple yes or no would be ok for me.
I've wind in italy, i don't know if is the same, but for me works fine...

I've read a lot of things about people trying to enable an aws band on the ATT one to get better T-Mobile data speeds. Or converting the phone completley to a T-Mobile edition.
Since I know enabling the aws band is not possible as of now, I just wanted to get a discussion going for people who are using an unlocked One with the T-Mobile network in refarmed areas.
What radios are y'all using to get the best 1900 data speeds?
Since the aws band is not available, does it really help to flash a T-Mobile radio?
And when you flash a ROM do you select T-Mobile in the device selection in aroma?
As the title says I have a Lumia 1320 with a 4g sim which worked fine on my galaxy s4 but on this , when I go into mobile settings it only has the option for 2g or 3g ?
I have flashed the latest UK rom because it came with a Thailand rom on it
Is there a rom I could flash that has the 4g option enabled ?
Are you sure it supports your 4G bands? If you bought it from outside the region (sounds likely) it might not have access to the 4G band(s) that your carrier uses.

So its the hardware ?
I thought if I flashed a Uk rom it would change the radio ?
The phone only physically supports certain radio bands. Re-flashing *might* let you use, say, 1800MHz for LTE (4G) where previously you could only use it for HSDPA (3G), but if your phone doesn't *have* an 1800MHz radio, you're out of luck (and maybe even if it does, depending on how the hardware is configured; i.e. if the radio does the relevant encoding and collision detection and such internally than it will be tied to a specific cellular technology).
Note that I have no idea *what* bands you need... but most mobile operators only have a single LTE band. You should check and see if it's one your phone offers.
Hi
I bought an used phone from some eBay dealer
the phone was on Verizon network
I am from Israel and using the local orange network
the phone works just fine except I cannot enjoy the 4g (LTE) network
when I put on LTE mode I just get no reception at all
maybe it is some frequency issue? (in Israel the LTE runs on 1800/2600)
how please can I solve this issue?
should I Install an appropriate rom for my network (where and how can I get it?)
or is it a hardware fixed frequencies which suitable for Verizon only and cannot be changed?
Thanks a lot

Verizon is a very US specific carrier they use there own CDMA mobile technology different from the GSM network world wide network.
Some Verizon phones are GSM capable to allow call roaming in different country's they call these "World Phones" but they do not offer any 4G services outside of the US.
Basically you will as far as I know only get 4G on a CDMA network in the US. Unless someone can correct me. :good:
Edit :-
Code:
So what's the problem? Why can't Verizon's 4G LTE devices roam internationally? First, there are few LTE networks built outside the U.S. But the main reason is that Verizon's LTE network and devices are not compatible with any other wireless carrier's network because the spectrum frequency and the specifications developed for its sliver of wireless spectrum is different from any other carrier in the world.
