There isn't an RUU for x.xx.61.x available. I should know I searched for one for long enough. All I can suggest is change your cid to supercid (fastboot oem writecid 11111111) Then Run the RUU 1.28.401.7 found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39588860&postcount=1
After this has completed, install CWM recovery, and flash the CWM nandroid backup 1.28.61.7 found at the same link.
Next find the stock recovery (have to search several here somewhere), remove root completely, install the stock recovery and s-on.
If all goes well you might even get the 2.24.61.1 update. :good:
OOOPS forgot, change cid back to ORANG001 before changing back to s-on.

I have the same problem. Did you find a T-Mobile UK CWM Nandroid in the end? I'm probably just going to try the Orange one seeing as they are both EE now.

I'm having the same issues here. My software version is 1.29 but the only RUU I can find is 1.28 which won't sign? Currently downloading the CMW Nandroid backup and I'm going to attempt that.

Your 1.29 was 1.28 before you installed an ota
If you flash the 1.28 RUU you will be able to update to 1.29 immediately

If this is correct and I'm using this
RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13.3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed
Which I assume is the correct RUU for me, I'm in the UK.
Then why does the RUU stop at signing and produce me an error saying it cannot continue signing please find the correct RUU for my device? Is this RUU the wrong one? My CID is HTC__001.

[Q]Reverting to stock firmware (three) and stock ROM (s-off)

Hey guys,
Right, I have a hardware issue with my phone so need to return it to Three UK.
Currently I have Android Revolution HD 11 on my phone and have updated to 2.17 firmware, s-off.
So I need stock, firmware to be reverted to 1.28.771 and to change my CID to H3G__001 (currently HTC__001). There doesn't appear to be an RUU for three.
First off I'm assuming the H3G nandroid backup in the "[COLLECTION] HTC M7 RUU, OTA, and Stock Nandroid Downloads" thread doesn't actually touch the firmware so it would remain at 2.17?
So my thinking is this:
Flash the generic europe RUU (do I need to lock my bootloader before doing this)? (RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13. 3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed.exe)
Change CID to H3G__001
Nandroid restore of H3G ROM. (M7 CWM Nandroid Backup / CID H3G__001 / 1.28.771.x )
s-off to lock and remove tamper.
s-on.
OTA update?
Will this work?
Or does anyone have a link to the 1.28.771 firmware?
Thanks for the help.

Any ideas?
You don't have to lock the bootloader and you need s-off to downgrade.

Rest of the steps...well sounds good but unfortunatelly i'm not expert so dunno
I'm really interested if it works this way for you as i have a VF-uk one, and once i have to go back to stock this info would be really helpful.
Please let we know your progress
Good luck

Hey,
Yup this worked perfectly (almost). Reset your CID to your originally carriers before running the nandroid backup or it will be missing your carriers boot screen.
The only thing is the recovery seems to be missing. I'd expect the HTC recovery to load when selecting it from the bootloader but all I get is a red triangle. I obviously need to sort this before sending it back (Monday).
Any ideas?
I haven't s-on'd yet because I want to sort out recovery first. That should be pretty simple though.
I guess I just need a link to stock recovery.img.
Just tried and mine does same. I have stock recovery so thats fine.
Hope you get a nice new one:laugh:
Cheers
Stock recovery will display a red triangle..your all set

Yup. I just realised. Completely 100% back to stock now with s-on.
It's been quite a journey. Hopefully they can repair it quickly so I can get ARHD 11 back on.

Would you make the step by step?
It would really helpful
If I ain't wrong,
1. Get the RUU's
2. Change CID to HTC_001 before flashing RUU
3. Flash RUU
4. Write original CID
5. Nandroid Restore
6. Re S-ON with Revone
Is that right?

Yup, those are the exact steps that I took.
Note* make sure you just boot into custom recovery and don't actually flash it when restoring your nandroid backup. Having custom recovery on your device is a dead give away.

Normally you would use the following command to install custom recovery:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Use this command instead:
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
That allows you to boot into custom recovery without actually installing it onto your phone.

Factory reset without Ruu?

I am having a hard time restoring my phone to stock for a warranty return.
Basically i can't find a Orang001 RUU restore file, i don't think one exists! I have found a CWM recovery file, however when restoring it just hangs at the HTC logo and won't reboot.
I'm starting to think i will have to give up.
Is there any advise you can give to restore my phone??

Sorry i typed this out quickly this morning.
I am S-OFF / Unlocked ect.. Running Android HD rom. I have no backup of the original rom.
I made this guide a while back - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2519259
For myself it was returning to complete stock 02 UK. There was no RUU for me either
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/m7-cwm-nandroid-backup-cid-orang001-1-28-61-7-2013-04-22-zip/ this is an earlier nandroid version for Orange
Try the steps on my thread and hope they work for you. I would leave the phone as s off though. When changing your CID back to Orange ORANG001

I'm up to:
5. Downloaded RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13. 3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed from thanks to crushalot, http://d-h.st/Gt8. This will reset the phone back to complete stock, but not stock for the original CID O2___001
6. Reboot into bootloader and fastboot oem writecid O2___001 followed by fastboot oem writesecureflag 3. This will return to S-ON but it will be reobtained again in a few minutes ****NOTE I DID THIS STEP TO S-ON BUT IT MIGHT NOT BE NECESSARY****
No 5. I take it i just run the RUU and install then No 6. instead of writing CID O2___001 i write my original ORANG001 ?

You can choose yes and continue as normal. Once you reboot, just to be sure re-run revone, and run the remove TAMPERED command and make sure the bootloader is UNLOCKED

Thanks for the link., thats alot of work involved to get it back to stock.
What if i wasnt concerned about S-Off and root, could i just let the phone update to the latest lollipop rom 5.0.1 ?. What that put everything back to factory settings bar S-Off and the phone being rooted??

you need stock recovery and stock system to take the update.
you can use a guru_reset for your CID/MID then take the update then do a factory reset
Or you can flash a newer RUU if one is available for your device
Thanks. regarding my cid, in fastboot its saying my CID is 'CID- 11111111' i was sure that i havent used super cid on this phone, i was under the impression for a sim free UK HTC the CID should be 'HTC__001' ?
