Are you using Google Voice?
D
Yup, you are using Google Voice. Have to turn that off in the Google Voice settings.
As noted, it's Voice. Go to voice.google.com, Settings, and turn off call screening.
Got it
Thanks for responses, got it turned off. Much appreciated

I have a couple of anoying problems with the diamond. Its my first smart phone and there are som things I think the SonyEricsson handle better
First, whats up with the deal that Phone mode dissapears when you talk? When I´m calling some kind of support and need to press numbers thru the menu the phone locks after just about 5 secs and I have to go in to phone and keypad again, very anoying. Is their a way to keep in i phone mode to easy access to the keypad and ex speaker mode?
Second, the phone doesnt vibrate when it rings. When I choose vibrate-mode in the quick list it goes quite and vibrating, great for meetings. But I still want the phone to vibrate if I´m in a club or something
Third, Is there any way to shut down the function of the keypad appears automatically? When I go in the phone and wants to call I may have the number in the quick list but then I have to get the keypad away to see it. Isnt there a way to get it to appear only when I actually press the keypad button?
That was the first three questions, I suspects there will be plenty more after a while But I would appreciate any help I can get

this is a feature not a bug and it is for you not to start any app with yr ear.
it can be override in many ways. one of them is using advance configuration 3.2. search! search!

try settings/phone/ring type/ vibrate and ring or vibrate the ring.

also can be changed. in phone mode go to menu/view/speed dial. this way when you call you'll get behind the phone pad yr speed dial. just push the little phone icon in the middle, lower screen and you'll have the speed dial only.

i hope that next questions you are going to ask are going to be after you'll read the manual and a few threads here or you'll get ignored or worse...seriously flamed.

I was told to put Phone sleep during call and fast sleep during call to Disable and Not Allowed in AC but the problems still remains.

I want to change the way the keypad acts. So its never appears automatically when the phone thinks I´m gonna use it, when I´m gonna write a SMS for example

I don't know if you GSM guys have had this problem, but my CDMA Diamond seems to.
Whenever I receive a call and I press the "Answer" button or hard key, it doesn't seem to connect instantly and allow me to talk. It would stay at the menu and I could continue to press "Answer" with nothing happening. Then after a minute it would finally connect and I can talk, provided the other person hasn't hung up yet.
Anyone know any solutions?
when i pres answer button it takes some seconds to connect
Hi, also me here when i press answer button i takes some seconds until somebody hers me, after i pres answer buton i shuld repet helo hello 3-4 untill the line gets conected

What rom are you using right now? I had this problem on Juicy2.1(Sprint), but it went away when I flashed to 2.2
Same here with all tested ROMS and same with all previous HTC devices ... seems to be standard "windows mobile behavior"
Edit: but I am on GSM
yeah, i also get this problem when hanging up as well, it takes ages to hang up, long after i've pressed the button or ended the call on the touchscreen
there is a string for "out call", is referred to idlecall...
HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\CallProgressIdleTimeout
normally is setted at 3 (seconds) but you can change at 0
also for incoming calls:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Phone\PhoneExtendSetting\EndCallTime
change always to 0
try those changes it should answer & hangup faster
bye,
davide

Just tried this, had a friend phone me, looks like it connected instantly this time. Of course, it's just 1 call, I'll have to see what happens with more incoming calls. Thanks for the suggestion!
Cannot find this entry in my registry - 1.93:
also for incoming calls:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Phone\PhoneExtendSetting\EndCall Time
change always to 0
Any idea?
Thanks

Brendo, I LOVE YOU!
I can actually get calls from a locked state now!
You have no idea how much time, work, and frustration you have saved me.
What a concept.. A phone that answers calls!
Such oversight on the part of Sprint.
Dammit I cant find the registry!
I avoid .cabs.
hey guys,
I know what u think, but i'm not talking about when getting the phone out of my pocket...
so i'm using android revolution latest rom. when the phone is locked, theres no problem. getting a phone call i need to swipe to answer.
the problem is, when the phone is NOT locked, and i'm chatting in whatsapp or sms or whatever, when i get a call i'm in the middle of speed texting so i end up pressing the answer button, which is now a button and not a swipe option.
what is need is for the phone to enter locked mode or whatever, as soon as i get a call, so i will have to swipe to answer
thanks.

I use Tiny Call Confirm to stop accidental outgoing calls. It as an option for incoming call protection as well, ive not tried it though.

I want to just have the dialer come up when I push the phone button. I hate needing to press 2 things to make a call. How do I get rid of the speed dial screen?

Nice thing about all of us having android phones...we can replace just about anything unlike Apple phones
Anyone have the dial pad not come up when they press the button for it? I have to click back then do it again. Oddly enough, this happened on CyanogenMod on my DNA as well.
Guys
Phone arrived 9am
Having trouble configuring Bixby to wake on voice, when I try to 'program' it it keeps telling me it can't hear me, but if I press the button to speak it hears me

Have the same problem...
Maybe "Bixby" doesn't understand our "dialect"?
There are several bugs with Bixby. Not sure of this is your issue, but I have noticed that voice detection for both Bixby and OK Google are borked after toggling power saving modes. If I come out of either Mid or Extreme power saving mode and back into normal mode, voice detection of any kind will not work until I have rebooted.
