Since going to 4.3, most apps won't update. I get an error message instead. Anyone know what's going on?

try sign out and in again in your google account
if i help hit thanks :fingers-crossed:
Or remove the add the account(s) again...
Or clear cache on google play store, somethings got to work. I had the issue where it would update any of my apps after I updated google play. Researched the error and found I had to delete the cache off of some apps, re-add my google account and it started working again. Alot of errors people have, are already reported to google.

A friend of mine couldnt update or install any app. It was only solved by doing a full wipe to the tablet.

Supposedly the new update to the market (pushed out today) creates this problem. I personally froze the market updater because I don't like the new layout of the my apps section, and the missing apps.
The new Play sucks
Any solutions for this problem ?
Just keep reporting it to Google and hope they get the message.
Mine has just update itself and is now showing my Apps.

I tried searching around for this error but there's really only one other thread on it. When I try to update some apps tonight like YouTube and Flash 11 from the google play market, I get this error. Has anybody seen it or know of a fix for it?
This seems to happen because market thinks you're running ics. Are you running cm7?
Try opening market, waiting a while and updating the apps manually

XRON/CM7. It should be ICS.

Did updating the apps manually work?

Error occurs during manual updates too.
So I wanted to get some updates for my apps so I went back to 213 and I still don't see drop box etc and when I search for apps I have installed currently of says they aren't compatible. What do I need to modify to fix?

Try clearing your play store data.

No dice

I was able to get compatibility back after clearing market data and re flashing gapps. I also found out anything but 160 causes that same problem, but 160 works fine.
Try a reboot? Wipe cache, force close the app, and delete app data for the play store. It's really fickle truthfully. I ended up having to flash mine back to stock and use titanium backup to fix everything. If you have a nandroid backup pre-DPI change that should work as well.
Edit: nevermind! Glad you figured it out!

I just had this problem, but I figured out how to fix it...
1. Go to Settings>Apps>Google Play Store and "uninstall updates" and it will say something about installing the original system app...
2. Open the original play store and accept the terms and conditions. (Apps still not working at this point)
3. Download the latest update from somewhere.
4. Install and done...
Your play store should work properly now...
My Nexus 7 will not check for system updates. I hit the check update but nothing happens. I did force the 4.1.2 update somehow by stopping one or 2 services. I am not rooted and I am stock.
Please help as I want to be able to update to stock 4.2
Also I know nothing happens when I hit the update button because the date doesn't change.

You can try this out:
Go into apps section
Then choose Google service framework
Then force stop it
Clear data
Clear cache
Do this a few time
And hopefully when u go into update after a few tries u all find the 4.2 update.......... It worked for me!

I also tapped on kernel or build a bunch of times under settings, about tablet. It then asked to upgrade.

Tried this but it didn't work
The date stays at 12/31/1969
It looks like it's not checking for updates.
Never mind my WiFi was turned off due to Sandy and was the only thing that didn't turn back on.
My Ace is running CM10.1 by Wayland_ACE. I hadn't encountered any issues and I don't think this is ROM related.
Anyway, recently my Google Account randomly removed itself from my device, I readded it and now when I go into Google Play and try to download an application I immediately receive a sever error and cannot download anything. I cleared Google Play's data and uninstalled the updates and cleared Google Play Services' data and rebooted as recommended in another thread. Didn't fix anything.
Then I noticed that the time was off by two minutes, was always correct before. I have the auto-obtain network time and manually selected the timezone (EST).
I fixed the time but Google Play still isn't working properly. It also isn't autoupdating to the latest version which is strange. As far as I am aware it should do that.
Does anyone know how to fix Google Play? (and no, I don't want to use another app store like 1mobile or Aptoide...)
I'll try to update this post with the exact error but it might be awhile. My Ace is freaking out right now with random reboots.
Not certain what happened but now my Ace has become really unstable. Its rebooting after every few minutes.
Flash a new rom

Its working now... I wiped cache and dalvik cache. Play Store still won't update back to 3.10.1 though. Any ideas for how I can force it to update?
