Hi,
This is an official representative from Viber
It sounds like the typical Custom ROM issue - some custom ROMs alter the microphone definitions of your phone, causing Viber not to recognize the phone's microphone properly. That is the reason that Viber cannot transmit your sound to the other side. We discussed this issue in detail with our users in this thread on XDA Forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25865775#post25865775
Please note that in that thread, a workaround was suggested *by a user* (and not officially by us) that seemed to have solved the problem for Galaxy S+S2 users.
Nevertheless, we would appreciate if you could take a minute and report the details to our support team using this direct link: http://bit.ly/ukGVJ0 (when you submit the ticket, please make sure to add the URL of our conversation). With this information, our development team will hopefully be able to find the source of the problem, and ultimately resolve it.
Thanks in advance

For any other questions/concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Wow, that's impressive!

[WIDGET] Prepay Widget needs some testers please!

Hello everyone! I am the developer of Prepay Widget, a powerful app that allows you to monitor your account balance through USSD requests.
You can find more info about USSD on Wikipedia, but basically these are short, SMS-like messages used by most GSM and some CDMA providers to deliver information
or control account services. The actual information comes to you in the form of popup toasts, which thids app hides and parses into widgets.
You can find the apps landing page on XDA at the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12348102
However, i want to stress that its important that we get some device-specific feedback, so please post in this thread if you have issues,
this helps me keep track of bugs and requests better.
You can use the Lite version of the app - it has all the functionality of the full version apart from automatic updates (not really that important imo).
As I haven't got one of these phones in my pocket, I need some testers to track down problems. Please, use this thread to comment or
suggest features. It is my belief that addressing issues is best done individually by phone, so if something doesn't work, let me know and I will fix it ASAP.
Market link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=fahrbot.apps.ussd.widget.lite
Debugging:
Please use the "Write to developer" item in the Settings menu to send logs. Enable debugging, reproduce your error and then send the logs.
Make sure you include a description - the more detailed the description the better.
Screens:
App is now in Top New Paid on the market
double post
This is now one of my favorite widgets! Thanks a lot, no issues here.

Any chance of a Beta?
I badly need it
My girlfriend will kill me so soon
i'm looking forward for this...
Unfortunately there's no Beta
But - we're doing our best to solve this as soon as we can. Viber 2.1.3, that should already support ICS, should be released within the next few weeks.
We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.
really looking forward to this
Damn I really need Viber
Working on it as we speak. We're doing the best we can to complete it ASAP.
Yea really need viber it's the only thing keeping me from using ICS as my daily rom

Thank you for next Viber relase.
Maybe this post is not right place to ask but i'd like to ask another question about viber. I have to register viber after each installation, is there any option to skip that if i have a code?
Thanks
Where the working version?
Hi, is the fix done for Viber to work on ICS?
thanks
Unfortunately no. And i need it bad as many others too. Damn we depend on this app
@matrak06 -
Don't worry, Feel free to ask any question you may have
I'm not sure I fully understood your meaning. Once you install Viber on the same phone again, you should be able to activate with the code you got the previous time (meaning - no need to wait for the SMS again). So, write down the code, and use it the next time you uninstall and reinstall Viber on the same phone, and everything should be fine.
@Edidotnet -
Not yet. It's currently in the works, and we hope it is ready very soon. Stay tuned for updates.
Very interested in a fix as well. Glad the development team of viber is responding and working on a fix.

I agree, but it's strange we have to go to XDA forum to find information. At www.viber.com I see nothing about this
www.viber.com is merely our homepage. The latest tech news about Viber can be found on http://support.viber.com
But I'm surprised by your comment. The reason we're here on XDA is to proactively reach out to our users and give them all the answers they need. We see our presence here on XDA as an advantage for our users, not the contrary

[Q] Android Group MMS/SMS

Do any of u guys know how to send a group MMS/SMS and have all of the responses show up in the same thread? I know that it is possible to send a group MMS by adding a period in the subject and sending it to multiple people, but the replies do not show up in the same thread; they show up in the individual responders threads. I know that it is possible since it works very well on the iPhone, so I was just hoping that it is also possible on Android and maybe I just haven't figured it out yet. IMO, it's an awesome feature, and seems like a simple feature to implement (I'm just guessing here as I have an almost non-existent knowledge of Android SMS/MMS protocols).
I came across this thread while looking for a solution, but all that was suggested is using other group chat like apps, that involve using data, and requiring the other parties involved to download a specific app.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=774990
I have found multiple threads in different forums, all say the same. Use an app and ask everbody to use it... It seems that the Verizon Messages app does group messaging. I am with Sprint, so its not available for download to my phone.
Yea, I'm on ATT so I also can't use it

Truedialer - new app by Truecaller

Hi everybody!!
We have recently launched our new app called "Truedialer" and would love to hear your feedback.
It's still has a long way to go, so feedback from other developers and users would be really appreciated.
What is unique about Truedialer?
You can download it from Truecallers webpage if you want to try it out and bring us feedback.
Thanks for reading and hope to hear some feedback soon.
How about telling us what is unique about it (or what it even is and does) instead of telling us to just download and see for ourselves.
Is the LTE on this forum as well? The Urbane sans that feature wont have much use for this app.

New to the community & Android development. Please direct me in the right direction.

New to the community & Android development. Please direct me in the right direction.
Hello, I'm new to the Android community. I have prior programming experience and I have made apps through Unity and have successfully published them on the Google Play store and competing app stores. I decided that I want to write native Android apps.... so here I am.
The problem:
I want to create a very simple app. It is a simple messaging app, just like the messaging in Snapchat. It is not like other text messaging apps where you are given a number and you can text anyone you want, even if they don't have the app. That is not my goal.
1. You must have the app
2. You do not get a new number. You get to choose a new username only.
This is the goal of the app. The question is... what libraries and APIs do I have to use? Are there any good tutorials on this subject? And the most important question is, would I have to buy any servers or something? Do I have to spend any money for this to work or can this work with the user's cell connection? I don't want to purchase anything / servers. Is this possible?
I'm sorry for the lack of knowledge, but I am aiming to improve myself! Thank you very much for the read.
Hello,
Messaging infrastructure needs a server to centralize users accounts, messages and users status.
You can find low cost VPS servers, but it's not free.
Sincerely.
Here, this one mcould help u http://djangostars.com/blog/app-development-cost-android-vs-ios/ . They've gor both ios and android review, so u should read only one part)
