Touchscreen Does Not Working on CWM/TWRP - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
Wonder if someone ever noticed that after flashing TWRP/CWM Touch the touchscreen is not working while on recovery.
Does someone have a solution for this?
Help would be appreciated!

ARHD 12.2 it works

Make sure you are flashing the correct version of either for the One and your firmware.

Download the latest version from the thread in development. Older Recovery's don't work with the ones new touch drivers.
AT&T HTC One
GPe 4.3

EDIT:
This posted into the wrong forum. I clicked reply on my original thread but posted here. I previously viewed. Please delete and sorry!

Resurrecting this thread to keep a work log.
I made have made some progress but hitting another roadblock. I've been holed up at home due to an auto accident so I started tinkering with the N7 2013 again.
Using the Nexus Root Toolkit, I am able to launch "Boot Temporary - Custom Recovery" from the advanced options. The problem I now run into is TWRP's touchscreen will not work. I attempted to do volume up/down to see if I could select but it wouldn't. The software is not frozen as I can see the temperature changing.
Anyone have any thoughts or information on how to boot another custom recovery that uses button inputs? I appreciate any input.

[Q] Android 4.0.4 Root?

Hey all!
I have updated my LG p990 to android 4.0.4 using LG´s own software (Stock ROM), and I wonder if there is any way to root that as of yet? superoneclick dont work it seems anymore / yet, and I wonder if the tool from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737
perhaps work to root with option 8 but I cant tell myself just by reading and I´m not allowed to ask there directly myself since I lack postcount.
any help will be greatly appriciated!
your sincerely Natherul
Use option 3 for root your phone.
thanks for reply, tried it but sadly it did not root me -.-
EDIT:
seems it changed the power button though..... now holding it in wont give me option to turn off and pressing it once wont turn off screen, help please
EDIT2:
nvm my edit, pressed home and power together once to make a screenshot then it works with power as normal again..... phone just thought i was holding down home....
Hey there.
How about try option 2. then change recovery to nvflash?
Then once you have a new custom recovery. Look for a stock ROM here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2076882
its rooted so that might fix it..
not sure if this is gonna work for you though. might wait for someone more experienced to confirm this.
thanks for trying to help puffingman but i got it working I had to use nvflash method and what went wrong before was the installation of su app (superuser), after downloading a new copy and doing it again its rooted

[Q]bootloop after flashing new 4.4 roms

First of all hey guys I'm new to this forum as a member but got all my info on how to from this forum.. My question is I have tried repeatedly to flash the new 4.4roms (RA,sinfull and HTC one nexus edition) I used new recovery (twrp 2.6.3.3) flashing is successful but after the reboot I get the normal screen to set language but after like a sec or 2/3 my phone reboots.. And he does this with all the ROMs running 4.4.. Flashing RA HD 31 with 4.3 I have no problem.
I even tried whipping my whole sdcard and pushing the new ROM to my phone and then installing but still the same problem.. I'm getting a bit desperate because I have looked for some help on the forum but couldn't find a specific problem.. Can some one please help
had same problem

looks like 4.4 roms need S-Off, if you're S-On it will result in bootloop, no workaround AFAIK.

are you s-on?
like the person above me said, you need to be s-off'd for 4.4.
I have the same problem I flashed a 4.4 rom when I had s-on and now it's in bootloop. I can't even get into my recovery because it just goes back into bootloop whenever I try to, any suggestions on how I can fix this?

[Q] HTC First doesnt bootup..Urgent help needed !!

Dear experts, I have seen similar threads as with the issue I am facing but I wasnt sure of few parts and if the process as a whole could work for me.
Here's what I know and what the problem is all about, appreciate any help to get back the phone in working condition.
First the basics:
HTC first
GSM unlocked, Bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed
I wanted to delete and format the device as I intended to give this to my friend and I did go to TWRP menu and then clicked on advanced wipe etc and realized I did erase everything the phone needs even to bootup. This I have done without taking backup.
What it looks like now:
When I boot the device out from TWRP, the 'F' logo comes up and stays like that for ever. If I go to TWRP pressing the power and volume down together, it goes to the TWRP menu and thats it..no options seem to help me on this screen to go past the 'F' logo at startup. If I simply power down the device on the 'F' screen it restarts and goes to the same screen making it look like its in a loop. Not sure if this is called soft-brick or hard-brick but it looks like the phone is of no use to me right now.
Can you guys please help me with resolving the problem..any help will be much appreciated

No problem! just be sure to hit that thanks button
Well then you'll have to make sure you flash the boot.IMG as well,
So what you'll do is
1) find the stock ROM around these threads
2) sideload the ROM
3) flash it
4) flash the boot.IMG inside the rom
5) you're done!
Understanding what s-on/off won't be of use here really d:
And the stock ROM is somewhere around these threads. About the side loading you might find a tutorial for that on YouTube. Sorry if it seems that I'm just leaving you in the dust but I am typing this in a hurry since it's 2:50 am at my place. I will be back to whip up a tutorial for you if YouTube wasn't of much help
Okay
Let me try my best till its like a more sociable time for you tomm morning, I will post my updates on the thread on how far I go and any questions I may have..

Yeah, just be sure not to wonder off too far from these threads on to other forums and flash or do something that can brick the device
Oh and btw I edited my post bc I saw your othe reply stating that you aren't all that too advanced with this
boot.img
I should be finding the boot.img on the stock ROM itself, isnt it..?

That's correct. Unzip the ROM and it should be there
This is how far I could get
Got all stock ROM and the IMG files, installed android SDK
ADB doesnt recognize the device to copy the file for sideloading
Guess issue is with the fact USB debugging was disabled earlier on my device
Can you please advise further
Is it better to chat on google chat or something so its even faster and I could get this fixed tonight (my time)
Thank you
Finally got it fixed
Thanks for the help..it all worked fine and the device is now working fine..
Thanks for all the guidance

wait a sec...you dont have a rom or kernel on your device at the moment right?
then there is no way to turn on usb debug on or off cause there is nothing managing the device.
um...use cmd and do adb devices. if its not there then i have no idea but if fast-boot goes into usb mode try flasing it using code
not sure what you would use, but see if "fastboot flash update nameofROM.zip"
but im not sure if that is the right code
stock rom for htc first

Try installing another ROM, preferably one u know it worked for you, by adb push or adb sideload.
Also, did u verified ARHD 81 zip's md5 sum before u flashed?
Launcher doesn't unlock
Howdy everyone!
I might be wrong here, so sorry in case I am, but I'm new to this forum and/or the whole issue of flashing ...
Anyhow, I recently unlocked/rooted/flashed ARHD 81, got everything working and set up the way I wanted it and all of the sudden -literally out of the blue- I'm unable to customize the home screen, i.e. add apps/widgets.
Yes, I've searched the forum. Yes, I've read the posts concerning this issue and no, they do not contribute to a solution.
In my case nothing happens when I tap >UNLOCK LAUNCHER< in the little pop-up menu activated by swiping up from the bottom of the screen - it just remains locked.
Any and all suggestions welcome - thank you!

Just about the only thing you can do to my knowledge is backup your data with Titanium Backup and reflash the ROM. If that doesn't work the zip you are using corrupted during the download.

Thanks for your reply. Restoring a previous backup fixed the problem. Haven't tried to reproduce the error, therefore I can't confirm if it's a corrupted file or not. I'll post whenever I get some new insights ...

[Q] 4.25.651.14. problem

Hello guys!
I have been using my SPRINT M8 for almost a year now and I barely managed to get it all to work internationally here in Europe (GSM).
Currently I am using custom recovery (sorry guys, I really forgot which one it is now exactly) and android 5.0.1. Software version right now on the phone is 4.20.651.10. Everything was finaly working flawless for some time. The phone is not rooted (problems rooting it, if I remember well it is an well known issue for Android 5.0.1.).
Of course, now HTC wants me to update to 4.25.651.14. but it just won't let me install it. The notification keeps popping out no matter what I do.
Any advices please? I am realy busy lately and just don't have enough time to dig deep into the forums for this. I found one custom recovery with this newest update but it requires me to have newer software than mine already installed.
I appreciate your hellp, thank you.

You have to flash the stock recovery to get the OTA update to work, it won't work through custom recoveries.
