Try installing another ROM, preferably one u know it worked for you, by adb push or adb sideload.
Also, did u verified ARHD 81 zip's md5 sum before u flashed?

Launcher doesn't unlock
Howdy everyone!
I might be wrong here, so sorry in case I am, but I'm new to this forum and/or the whole issue of flashing ...
Anyhow, I recently unlocked/rooted/flashed ARHD 81, got everything working and set up the way I wanted it and all of the sudden -literally out of the blue- I'm unable to customize the home screen, i.e. add apps/widgets.
Yes, I've searched the forum. Yes, I've read the posts concerning this issue and no, they do not contribute to a solution.
In my case nothing happens when I tap >UNLOCK LAUNCHER< in the little pop-up menu activated by swiping up from the bottom of the screen - it just remains locked.
Any and all suggestions welcome - thank you!

Just about the only thing you can do to my knowledge is backup your data with Titanium Backup and reflash the ROM. If that doesn't work the zip you are using corrupted during the download.

Thanks for your reply. Restoring a previous backup fixed the problem. Haven't tried to reproduce the error, therefore I can't confirm if it's a corrupted file or not. I'll post whenever I get some new insights ...

Make sure you are flashing the correct version of either for the One and your firmware.
Download the latest version from the thread in development. Older Recovery's don't work with the ones new touch drivers.
AT&T HTC One
GPe 4.3
EDIT:
This posted into the wrong forum. I clicked reply on my original thread but posted here. I previously viewed. Please delete and sorry!

Resurrecting this thread to keep a work log.
I made have made some progress but hitting another roadblock. I've been holed up at home due to an auto accident so I started tinkering with the N7 2013 again.
Using the Nexus Root Toolkit, I am able to launch "Boot Temporary - Custom Recovery" from the advanced options. The problem I now run into is TWRP's touchscreen will not work. I attempted to do volume up/down to see if I could select but it wouldn't. The software is not frozen as I can see the temperature changing.
Anyone have any thoughts or information on how to boot another custom recovery that uses button inputs? I appreciate any input.

TWRP 2.6.3.0 constantly crashing (SOLVED)

I've been using TWRP ever since I have rooted mt ONE. Over the last few days its been crashing while trying to install any zips at all.I can do a nandroid restore but nothing else. When I try to install any file it just goes to a black screen and reboots the phone.
Any ideas of what could be causing this and how to repair it also.
Thanks
I've also just replaced TWRP with clockwork mod touch and that is doing the same thing. I am now at a stage where I cannot install anything via the recovery method.
What is my bet options for starting afresh as my phone is unlocked with HTC dev and rooted also.
I'd like to go back to the beginning and start again.
Thanks

This seems to becoming a more and more recurrent event, though I cannot say for what the correct solution is, check these two threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2435499
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2423817
one of them had to fix a corrupt partition, the other just reflashed and wiped again and again, and it worked.
If something works out for you do share!!
Thanks for that,I'll redownload my favourite Rom and try again without trying to update the Kernel, everything was fine as I remember before I tried the kernel update.
I'll let you know how I get on in a while.

Though the reasons are still unclear (at least to me ), it seems that flashing a custom kernel while still in recovery immediately after the ROM does work. Of course, make sure you're flashing a compatible kernel to the ROM; the version numbers of the custom kernels do not correspond to the ROM versions, and I've seen some that flashed an incompatible kernel, just because the version numbers looked similar.
Good luck & keep us posted
PS: If you do solve it, please update the main thread title to include [SOLVED]. thanks
Thanks for the two links, after reading them and doing a fresh install off my rom. Wiping cache, delvick and data I seem to be able to install zips again from recovery without the black screen and reboots.
Yep, so far all the zips that failed earlier are now installing.
A BIG THANK YOU :good::good:

[Q]bootloop after flashing new 4.4 roms

First of all hey guys I'm new to this forum as a member but got all my info on how to from this forum.. My question is I have tried repeatedly to flash the new 4.4roms (RA,sinfull and HTC one nexus edition) I used new recovery (twrp 2.6.3.3) flashing is successful but after the reboot I get the normal screen to set language but after like a sec or 2/3 my phone reboots.. And he does this with all the ROMs running 4.4.. Flashing RA HD 31 with 4.3 I have no problem.
I even tried whipping my whole sdcard and pushing the new ROM to my phone and then installing but still the same problem.. I'm getting a bit desperate because I have looked for some help on the forum but couldn't find a specific problem.. Can some one please help
had same problem

looks like 4.4 roms need S-Off, if you're S-On it will result in bootloop, no workaround AFAIK.

are you s-on?
like the person above me said, you need to be s-off'd for 4.4.
I have the same problem I flashed a 4.4 rom when I had s-on and now it's in bootloop. I can't even get into my recovery because it just goes back into bootloop whenever I try to, any suggestions on how I can fix this?

[Q] Constantly restarting at welcome screen

Hello guys,
I'm in a bit of a pickle here....
I've got a HTC One which I've rooted and unlocked though not S-Off by the looks of things and I had SinLess rom installed fine, it started playing up so I though I'd update it. Bung the new one version on there via sideload and install... Marvelous.
Only now, it gets to the welcome screen as silly ol' me did a factory wipe as well as all cache and after about 5 seconds of Welcome - Choose language. It restarts.
I then decided to try a new rom, so grabbed Android Revolution. To no avail either....
On bootloader it shows as HBOOT - 1.54
S-On
**TAMPERED**
**UNLOCKED**
What can I do to actually get a working rom on this thing?
If there is any more details I need to give please say so as this is my first time flashing something as complicated as this. All my old android devices were far far simplar :crying:
- Here's the facepalm moment - I didn't do an nandroid backup due to it not working and I wanted to put a new ROM on there so I didn't look into getting it working. If I could injure myself I would.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. :good:
Kind regards, Ian.

Hey your'e stuck in a boot loop, its usual
just download a good stable rom
clear data/ cache
flash the rom and you'll be out of it,
If this thing doesnt work out download the orignal RUU and get back to stock

Yeah, after attempting to install 3 different roms.
Sinless, ARHD and SkyDragon, I'm going to try a different recovery as I'm currently using TWRP 2.6.3.3 and I know there is an update but also I want to see if CWM can do anything with the 6.0.4.3 version....

Hello,
To no avail, after trying different recoveries, nothing.
Looks like I've got a metal slab...
It just keeps restarting itself at the welcome screen, the only other thing I can think of would be to fully wipe EVERYTHING on the phone but I'm not sure that's too good of a move either...
Argh.
You have to be s-off to run these Roms

[Q] HTC First doesnt bootup..Urgent help needed !!

Dear experts, I have seen similar threads as with the issue I am facing but I wasnt sure of few parts and if the process as a whole could work for me.
Here's what I know and what the problem is all about, appreciate any help to get back the phone in working condition.
First the basics:
HTC first
GSM unlocked, Bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed
I wanted to delete and format the device as I intended to give this to my friend and I did go to TWRP menu and then clicked on advanced wipe etc and realized I did erase everything the phone needs even to bootup. This I have done without taking backup.
What it looks like now:
When I boot the device out from TWRP, the 'F' logo comes up and stays like that for ever. If I go to TWRP pressing the power and volume down together, it goes to the TWRP menu and thats it..no options seem to help me on this screen to go past the 'F' logo at startup. If I simply power down the device on the 'F' screen it restarts and goes to the same screen making it look like its in a loop. Not sure if this is called soft-brick or hard-brick but it looks like the phone is of no use to me right now.
Can you guys please help me with resolving the problem..any help will be much appreciated

Well then you'll have to make sure you flash the boot.IMG as well,
So what you'll do is
1) find the stock ROM around these threads
2) sideload the ROM
3) flash it
4) flash the boot.IMG inside the rom
5) you're done!
Understanding what s-on/off won't be of use here really d:
And the stock ROM is somewhere around these threads. About the side loading you might find a tutorial for that on YouTube. Sorry if it seems that I'm just leaving you in the dust but I am typing this in a hurry since it's 2:50 am at my place. I will be back to whip up a tutorial for you if YouTube wasn't of much help
Okay
Let me try my best till its like a more sociable time for you tomm morning, I will post my updates on the thread on how far I go and any questions I may have..

wait a sec...you dont have a rom or kernel on your device at the moment right?
then there is no way to turn on usb debug on or off cause there is nothing managing the device.
um...use cmd and do adb devices. if its not there then i have no idea but if fast-boot goes into usb mode try flasing it using code
not sure what you would use, but see if "fastboot flash update nameofROM.zip"
but im not sure if that is the right code
