Hello guys,
i got a Htc One since one week now.
I got a vodafone version and flashed the ARHD 12.1 rom on it.
I think i was first on Android 4.1.2 and the ARHD got it to 4.2.2.
If I'm looking in CWM-Recovery I got now two sdcards - sdcard (with my old files, e.g. the Android_Revolution_HD_One_12.1.zip) and the sdcard/0 with all other files I copied to the phone.
How can I delete the stuff on the sdcard? It seems that this is unused space because all my data get on sdcard/0.
I think this is due to Android 4.2.2 multiple user service?
Delete or move files from /sdcard to /sdcard/0 with any file explorer.

Tank you. I user Solid Explorer but can't find the sdcard partition. If I go into sdacrd I'm automatically in the sdcard/0 partition.
After searching i found this: mnt/shell/emulated
There are all the files... so that should be right, right?
And the /storage directory?
Edit: Jup sounds ok. You can also backup all your data and do a wipe sdcard in recovery and put eveylrything back

In storage directory i got this:
-emulated -> Internal Storage, Internal Storage (both show the data from the sdcard/0)
- Internal Storage -> the Data from sdcard/0
- usb -> empty
Ah ok, the idea with the wipe is great
I will do that! Thank you for your help!

I don't know if the following is unique to my cappy.
the .android_secure folder is mounted on the external_sd. it's mounted ro, with d---- permissions.
no x, so no reading contents, but when copied via adb, the contents are all there. So, a second question- how to move it back to usb storage (aka sdcard)?
I am running Corn 7.06 GB. mostly stock, rooted.
Thanks.

Hmm... "copy" and "paste"?
directory permissions only d without x, so copy wont do.
even so, I am not sure that there isn't a piece of code somewhere wont see or place the folder in usb storage. guess I could remount as read write, copy it, shut down and how it boots. as it is, when I unmount the sd card and remove, then reboot, many of the apps wont run. it used to be that these sdcard apps were placed on the internal sdcard, aka usb storage. I've been using tibu pro to move the apps to 'sdcard'. maybe tibu is responsible?

I installed Cm 10.1 but returned to Viper's rom. Now I've an 0 folder. it seems to have the same things as the sdcard folder. Can I delete this folder and still be able to use my phone? It seems that TWRP reads that folder to install roms. Now my phone says its almost full of storage space and I don't have many songs on it. Any ideas? I've searched and haven't found anyting about this yet.
It is due to the multiuser support in aosp ROMs, to get rid of it I recommend backing up with titanium backup, wiping data and reflashing viper, that should do it!

So just reflashing Viper will get rid of it and open up more storage space?
I believe only if you wipe data

It's still there. Can I erase it?
Deleting it will free up about 14bg of storage space
No, that's basically your virtual SD card...might cause problems...

The 0 has all the contents from your sdcard in it. Move them back to the root of the card then delete the folder. I had to delete it from recovery btw

Edit: I got twrp to read the correct path bit all my files are there but all they where all erased but showed as they were still there never flashing cm10.1 again sense5 is way faster and the audio is untouchable

Hi all, i flashed the new rayglobe rom succesfully, but i think there is a problem with the multi user part of android 4.2.2. This is because i now have an sdcard0 and an emulated0 which both have the exact same files in? Any help would be appreciated

If you mean storage/emulated/0/ that It's correct.
/storage/sdcard0/ internal sd storage path for compatibility with 4.1 apps.
/storage/emulated/0 4.2 internal sd storage path.

Both of these paths are symlinks, they don't "eat" your disk space, and you don't need get rid of it.
Under root (or in recovery file manager) check /data/media , all your files shall be in data/media/0, if any files are duplicated just in data/media,
that it not correctly... delete them.

It actually was eating my space, i had duplicate of everything, booting into recovery and doing a data wipe fixed this.
I've got the same problem after flashing cyanogen mod 10.1

Have you tried backing up your files and wiping the data partition?, I did this and it fixed this for me, also make sure your recovery is at the latest version.

Can someone help me out with this? What's the EASIEST way to fix this problem on my GF's phone?
I just want to copy over all her data onto a PC, Titanium Backup everything (apps, settings and all) and just fix this mounting issue. She definitely has duplicated around everywhere, but it's hard to understand what is a duplicated or not.
I have her running a CWM recovery.
My stock HTC one, if im correct had about 28gb usable memory. After rooting and flashing custom ROMs and doing a few backups, my memory has dropped to about 19gb usuable memory. I've deleted my backb ups and mostly everything I have is in the cloud . I am wondering what has happend to the rest if the memory?? Am I not doing system wipes correctly?? Any help is appreciated

Using a root explorer, check the total size of your /data and /sdcard partition(In ES its long press > properties). How much space are they taking up? Also, have you checked in /data/media for duplicate files?
Also, ES File Explorer has the ability to list all the biggest files on your /sdcard so you can see what's taking up space.

You probably went from a 4.1 ROM to a 4.2+.
The file structure changed. Using a root enabled file explorer check "leftovers" in /data/media
all your files in 4.2+ are in /data/media/0
