[Q] Download/Recovery mode not working !! Help !! :(

My phone is not going in either of the download / recovery mode. I tried many times. Both 'Vol up + home + power' and 'Vol down + home + power'. But the phone runs in infinite boot loop until i release the power button, after which it starts normally.
May be i should try this . But as per what i found in google search is that the 3 button issue was only in 2.1(Eclair). And mine is already on 2.2 (Froyo) which i updated officially through kies. So has it been disabled intentionally or the bootloader is buggy version which i need to update using this guide ??

try to hold the power button for 4 seconds exactly. Release it just when the logo screen disappears. Sometimes if I hold it too long, it doesn;t work.
Also, if your phone is working, try an app like QuickBoot that will take you into those modes automatically.

For some people have problems getting in to download mode, try volume down home and power it worked for me.

Download mode is Volume down not up .

I tried both - Up & Dn. None of them is working.

I tried it, its not working. I release the power button exactly when the boot logo disappears. Then the phone boots again (boot logo is displayed again) and phone starts normally.
Also app like QuickBoot is not much helpful as i'm thinking of flashing through ODIN and i need both the modes working before starting the flash procedure !!

Sorry for hi-jacking ur thread,
I'm trying MIUI RC3c.
After flashing CM7 kernel, I was not be able to get into recovery mode to continue.
I held VOL UP + HOME + POWER & released when logo appear but screen came black. Only BACK and MENU buttons lit up.
Hope someone can help

Yeah i have tried factory reset. And i dont want to use the USB jig just now. USB jig is for emergency i suppose and u can only go into download mode and not recovery mode. I want download mode and recovery mode running normally. My question is that, i it possible that these two modes are disabled as mine is 3 UK branded phone ?? Should I try this ??

I have a Galaxy S Plus with stock 2.3.6 (XXKQ7). I want to install LionROM, but I can't enter the download mode. I hold home, vol- and on/off button but the phone only restarts... (before restart one or two pixels light up in the right corner)

i have a i9001 s+ 2.3.3 and to enter downloa mode you put it in usb debuging mode ( setings , application develipment, enable usb debuging ) then power off and hold down vol +, home button ( big one) and power button the the android logo with downloading... beneth it will come up and you are now in download mode

I tried the combinations ,when phone power is off , Vol. Down, Home, and Lock buttons,(enter recovery mode) Vol. up, Home, and Lock buttons (enter factory mode)
Any help pls..

try without the usb cable plugged in

is it a s3 mini clone by any chance? most dont have a download mode

yes it is a clone.is there any chance to update it..

Man are you talking about recovery mode let me clear you
1.vol down + power key + home button = download mode [where you can use odin]
2.vol up + power key + home button = recovery mode [where you can flash zip files] [ It wont work until you flash this

if you r clear kill your phone by pressing vol down + power key + home button until you go to download mode [just kidding]
or
go into download mode by some apps in play store
Dude my advice until you found a solution for download mode dont do rooting and stuff because we need odin for soft bricks
or else it will be a hard brick

clones tend not to have download modes. also dont use anything for the real s3 mini, you will brick the clone

HELP!! How to reboot from download Mode?

Can anybody tell me please how to reboot from download mode without flashing any software? I would checked how it looks like in comparison to my Note 4 and now I want to reboot it. When I hold the power button (like the Note 4, S5 or s4) the tab do nothing! Please help me!!

Aaah damn it! Any device has a different way
I had to push the power button + volume down and home button (the same way how you come to download mode) and than it starts again to ask you what you would like to do... Than you have to klick on "reboot device"
It can be so easy

just press vol+/vol- and connect your phone on pc,
that's all

wow thank you. when connected to pc maybe that's same as pressing power button. but in actual when pres vol+ and vol- and power,,the phone keeps looping on samsung logo. maybe it need to release some of those button during looping cycle....

Now, my A6 plus is in a boot loop after I pressed Volume up + Volume Down and Power Button. What hppened? How can I go back ?
