Hey guys,
I want to know if the tpu s-line case for lg 4x hd will protect my phone from easy and normal impacts
If not, please recommend another protective case!
(I can't use link-new user)
It will protect your device from scratches and minor falls, but the case is very thick and pressing the power/volume buttons will be harder. I recommend you nillkin cases.

in case you still decide to get this one, get a black one or darker coloured one. they get dirty real easy, and soak up the dirt, so you can't really clean them, and it's very noticable on my transparent (well, not anymore ) case.
Maybe it's thick, but the borders are a bit up from the phone's borders,so it protects the screen when falling on it
Nillkin cases seem durable and made from a hard material but they aren't so thick.
I have a friend who had his phone broken from a 40 cm straight on screen fall on a carpet.I don't want this to happen, not gonna hope to be lucky .
I want just to protect it from falls such as 50 cm fall on a wooden floor or on concrete.
If you have other options,I listen to you guys!
if you just want protection from falls, search ebay for "P880 Tough Rugged Hybrid Kickstand Case Cover Black"
I have purple one. It's very thick and you can play freesbe with your phone on concrete and nothing will happen But sides are very thick and it makes phone bulky. Now I'm buying ultra thin hard plastic case. Look at the other thread in this forum

I have one and it's very thick and bulky. YOu can barlet press the power button or voulme keys. I don't like it.

Body Glove LG G Flex Fusion with DuraStand
Very tight fit. Once it is in, it is hard to remove it.
2 stage projection in one. Thin rubber Lining + hard case. The volume and power volume button are cover but have no texture feel to them.
The screen is protected by a bumper rim.
The texture on the side provide, very good grip for handling.
that is nice. i have the incipio and the case rubber is very loose. im going to buy a body glove now
no one tried the casemate pop case simlar but slightly different i think it's a little more protective

Be careful when you take it out, because I managed to popped one of the corners out while removing the phone from the tight fitting case.

Otterbox is garbage, ballistic and trident cases are the best cases ive ever used on a phone. Mybatt is okay but for this phone its terrible. I really liked the incipio, but, the silicone starts being stretchy after about a week or 2. I get my trident in a few days and i know it will be good,if not, back to ballistic i go
I'm telling you us like the body glove an the casemate again the casemate is white
My body glove is black brushed effect tpu .... Doesn't look like this one its a little less bulky/ durable but its saved my flex from 20+ random landing angles , drops from 5 foot or so. I'm really impressed with the different material they used for the screen. I show off its durability by tossing it ( with body glove case) from my pocket waists high to a couple feet from me AMD letting hit the floor on concrete too. Its not got the first scratch or crack. $#!+ rattles around inside but that let's me know its still kickin. J/k. Nothing rattles.
just got my Trident Aegis and its awesome....
I saw at Otterbox they have a film/protection for the back of these phones available.. I HATE to put this gorgeous beast in a case .. plus they all add bulk... Would these rear "screen" like protectors benefit? I have a case but everyone always asks what phone I have..

If you are not opposed to skins there are pretty good ones. I like ArmorSuit MilitaryShield, it is completely transparent and a little springy and grippy. Skinomi and a few other companies make some with patterns.
I would suggest you to try out the Spigen Ultra hybrid series. Trust me, it adds a very slight layer to the sides but provides ultimate protection.
And the design looks classy on the black version, I have been using it and I like my phone better with that thing on rather than the naked phone.

I always wanted to know, do these skins actually provide any kind of protection? Or will break the phone apart if it drops and are made just for the design aspect?

I'm using the skin with an aluminum bumper so it is mainly for scratch protection as drop protection is going to be mainly coming from the bumper. But the front skin is pretty thick and adds a little cushion to the screen itself. I cannot imagine it helps on a major face first drop onto concrete but I bet it will help with keeping the screen from being scratched up during a face first drop onto a softer surface like linoleum or from a sliding impact.
I also have the spigen, that was the first case I ordered and with the completely transparent back it is not invasive and looks very nice. I have the gold S6 and got the gunmetal spigen which kind of tones down the goldness which is good sometimes for me.

Looks interesting.. Wish I could find these in person so I could feel how much they add to the sides.. but then again Amazon has the color I want for $13.99 so I guess that's not too bad ... :highfive:

I'm currently rocking a real bamboo back skin and have a leather pouch coming. In pocket and for setting it down will have pouch. For general use and at desk it only has back skin.

Anyone know of a Glass Screen Protector that follows the curvature of G4's display assembly by default?
Also, I've seen some expensive screen protection that goes over the light sensor & front camera sensor. For anyone who has those, did you encounter any problems using it?
The G4 screen isn't curved. You can get screen protectors off eBay for like £2 which don't cover the light sensor etc. And they're good quality at £2
yootech has always served me well, you can find it on amazon or ebay

The screen assembly follows the curve of a circle with a radius of 3,000mm (or about 118 inches). That means that unless we’re talking about a much larger device – something tablet or even TV-sized – you’re not going to notice the extent of the curvature nearly as much.
LG G4 is just a more subtle variant of LG G Flex.
Also, look. I've already bought a screen protector that is straight. If I place it for application, the gap is obvious. Not adamant about finding a curved one, just curious.

The curve on the phone is so slight that a flat tempered glass screen protector will easily bend to accommodate the curve and not fall off. Here is the screen protector I used on my last LG G4 and just ordered a new one yesterday for my replacement coming in a day.

I really like the Yootech one because it has cutouts for the light sensor and speaker grill up top. It also fits really nicely around the edges leaving almost no extra space.
Any screen protector will the G4 the one I'm currently using is Tech21 love it super durable

Just came across this post. The g4 screen is curved i dont know where you got your info but it most def is.
---------- Post added at 08:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:29 PM ----------
Time to revive a old threD. the screen curvature is enough that all flat temp glasses are under stress when installed. Ive had 4 diffrent ones on mine. And all of them with the slightest impact have cracked. In various places.

I have dropped my phone a few times and know someone else who has the same screen protector as me and theirs only shattered when he dropped a bare phone on straight concrete from above table height. His screen protector shattered, but screen stayed perfect.
Are you getting thin ones for the cheapest you can find? Check out the Yootech one. It is around $8, but has worked the best out of a few different ones I have tried. It also has the best fit with the right openings for the camera, sensors and headset speaker.
Link: https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Te...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
Also look at bumper cases. Not the aluminum ones though. They are only a few bucks and give you a little extra protection.
I ise zagg and another company i was giving about 25 bucks for them. Also my screen made it just fine til today. I use a otter box defender as a case.
Im screen shopping rite now i dropped it from about 5 foot rite on a rock lcd and touch is good just shattered outside glass
I'ved used two screen protectors on my G4. Supershieldz $6-7 the other was free from maxxboost. The maxboost one cracked when i dropped the phone face down on office carpet, they replaced it under lifetime warranty no charge. The supershieldz one seems more durable, but thats just a feeling, nothing empirical.. I did not notice the curvature of the screen at all until I ran into this thread, I still don't. Is it curved up or down ?

If phone is laying on its back its curved up. set it on the edge of a counter glas down and youll see that the middle of the glass does not touch the counter unles the counter is warped to.
Hey guys, I am going to buy a G4 tempered glass protector but where I live Yootech is not available so I had to pick an "eProte" one.
It is almost identical to Yootech's one except for the 0.33mm thickness vs yootech's 0.28mm... Do you think it will have any negative impact on screen brightness and/or color accuracy?
Thanks
Shouldnt i had one on my g3
.5mm. And it was decent

Hey, I've been using my Poco for more than 3 months now and it's buck ass naked save for a screen protector (only because it ain't a gorilla graded display). I think you wouldn't need a case as it's high grade plastic and even on the off chance you drop it, there won't be much damage to the body (can't say the same for the display though ?). If you feel the phone might slip out of your hands and drop then I'd suggest slapping on some slick decals that would make your phone look cool as well as provide sufficient grip.
You can check out these 2 websites:
1. dbrand.com - they're the ones who started the decal game and still have it going strong. You can choose what kind of decal, colour and what part of the phone you want under the decal. They have some pretty sweet designs.
2. slickwraps.com - these guys came late in the game, but man oh man they're just amazing, you can go so far as to customise your skin with a personal photo and not just that, you can get your personalised skin in a glossy or matte finish! How cool is that!
As far screen protectors are concerned I wouldn't recommend using tempered glass protectors because they hamper the touch functionality. You can look for hydrogel protector and they're pretty neat if you ask me.
I hope that helps, cheers!!!

Karapaver wasn't any better, for me, than the spigen for protection, didn't look as nice, and offered no more protection for the front. The corner protrusions limit its car mounting options. I couldn't get this or the Ringke to sit properly in my brodit car mount. I either had to tighten the mount for the sides which made the case/phone difficult to remove or I tightened the mount for the corners and had the case rattle around cause it wasn't being secured properly in the mount.
Mileage may vary with other mounting options.

I'm sure that overseas shipping may be a limiting factor here. Unless these companies have UK distributors?
