It looks like also the razr I is not able to use all available wifi 2.4Ghz channels in germany. We're allowed to use channel 12+13 but the razr ignores that...
Motorola just answered that I can use channel 1-11.
razrielsch
I can use channels 1-14 here in Czech Republic not for tethering of course. I'm using stock EU ROM.

Hi @all,
has any of the O2X users experiences in using the phone with BMW bluetooth hands-free equipment? Is it possible to connect the phone? Is it possible to show the phonebook in iDrive/in the Radio "Professional" (if anybody has one)?
Cheers

If the BMW uses rSAP, like for example all VW, Audi and Mercedes installations do, you'll have no luck with android because no android phone (except for the Galaxy S so far) supports that protocol.
I have a 316 touring, 2009, with idrive, works without problems.

Well, this doesn't seem to be a problem. BMW confirms on its homepage several Android devices to work in the cars. The confirmed devices are: HTC Legend and Desire, Samsung Galaxy S, Motorola Flipout and Milestone. So no problem from that side I think. I was more thinking about problems eventually caused by the LG-modified bluetooth stack.

Call lg support and ask them to adopt a propper stack.

I am a lucky grandfathered unlimited customer with unlimited official tethering and use the official VZW wireless tether app on the Note 2 a lot, but it only runs at 2.4Ghz. I'd like to run it on 5Ghz (which the phone supports when connecting to APs obviously, but I can't find an option for hotspot). When tethering at 2.4Ghz or just using wifi heavily and trying to use bluetooth at the same time, there is a great deal of bluetooth packet loss because they both operate in the same basic spectrum. Running the tether at 5Ghz and BT at it's standard 2.4Ghz would solve that problem. It could also be helpful when tethering in an area that is saturated with 2,4Ghz signals like an airport.
Any of the popular 3rd party wifi tethering apps support this? Anyone think it'd be doable with some sort of hack?
Thanks!
EDIT: Wrong forum! Mods please relocate to Verizon Note 2 Q&A forum!
You can change the wireless channel in the tether app settings, that may help.

Im patiently waiting for cyanogenmod to be my daily but I could of swore I read heard something in the changelog that they were working on this
That'd be awesome! I've tried a few of the CM builds and CM-based ROMs but always end up back on CleanROM for the TW features missing in the CM based ROMs. Do miss the 4.2 features tho.
Nevermind just looked it up

Maybe BubblePnp. Dont know if it works without router network, maybe you can connect to your smart tv directly by dnla to stream pics and vids.
Since now chromecast audio has multiroom support has anyone heard if this also will be supported on chromecast or chromecast 2015?
I already have chromecast in every room needed and would be really cool to use them to use for example spotify in a multiroom environment. Technically there really cant be any problem just depends on how Google want to do.

I am also curious of this, does the OG Chromecast support multiroom?

I'm going to take a wild guess here and say it is going to support all as this feature would appear to be more about the targeting of the devices as opposed to the devices itself.
Instead of sending a stream to one device you would just send it to multiple devices.
I'm curious about how well they will sync from room to room however.
No more native fm radio in Xperia xz1 Compact.
"The Qualcomm 835 SoC Plattform is supporting FM Radio" Is a great news but the worst news is that there is no radio FM native app, only in streaming.
Sony should give it a chance to use FM radio.

I tried installing another Xperia FM app, it refuses to install. Perhaps will be possible by modifying the app.

Maybe Sony may add this on next updates.

Has anyone tried other options (such as Spirit1 FM radio...yes I know it's not free) from the market?
Also adhere to this conclusion! I have ideas in FM radio to implant it into the system and leave the Radio.apk, but unfortunately first you need to Root to turn themselves to the system files. How will Root, will have to try to do it on my XZ1, I think XZ1 XZ1 Compact and do not differ in this respect. I apologize for the English language.
I have been a fan of Sony compacts since the Z1c. In all the years I've owned one I've never used the radio. Perhaps Sony have run the numbers on how much the app gets used?
Personally I wouldn't spend £500 on a device carrying one of the best soundcards on the market to listen to hissy, lossy fm noise.
Before the end of life for my XZ1c, UK fm analogue radio will be gone, is that a big enough hint for you?
Except when you're sitting at the Bahrain GP, and realise that you can't listen to the race commentary because this stupid phone doesn't do FM... [emoji53]
