SIM card unlocking - Motorola Atrix HD

I know this has been asked several times but I haven't been able to find the threads regarding this. I searched for "SIM" and found nothing regarding unlocking.
I'm looking for the most reliable and trustworthy online SIM card unlocking service. Any suggestions?

Unlockable Atrix HD??

Ugggg.... I've checked and although there is talk of help with unlocking, I don't see this specifically, so forgive if I missed it....
I did my first post a week or so ago when I had just bought a MyTouch that my son got to and, well, we ended up ordering a digitizer and spending hours trying to fix that one (the glue was CRAZY!).... Well, that didn't work.
I bought an Atrix HD off craigslist, yes locked. I love it, but now have tried two unlock companies and neither could come up with a code. AT&T can't tell me why (or so they say) that they say it's "unlockable".....
So, am I two for two - with another phone that I can't use or am I missing something.
Thanks so much - I really want to use this phone.

Recently, I bought a Motorola Flipout for my mom, and I have to admit that I am a Motofan and I bought more than 30 Motorolas in the past 2 years, ranging from 15 dollar to 425 dollars, all Androids. But this Flipout gave me some problems...
It was carrier locked to ATT, I'm using Telcel GSM, so I just bought the unlock code and put it on the phone like all the Androids I had, I tought it's was going to be easy, but I was wrong.
The first seller told me he didn't found the code, so i was refunded my 3.99, then the second seller told me the same, refunded me 7.99, I was like crazy, how no one can found the code for this now obsolete and old 2.1 phone?
I found this site: Cellunlocker.net and I bought the code from there, it cost me 7.99 dollar, and after 12 hours they gave me 2 codes, they didn't work, I was like crazy, how can even be possible I can't get an unlock code for this? In the same site, there's an extra option called "Manufacturer / Code Not Found" method. It's the most expensive than the carrier method, but it's more effective, the code for the Flipout with this method cost me 32.99 but it was valid. I recommend you this site if the ebay sellers can't find the unlock code for your Atrix, only you need paypal.

Here's the page, only you put the model, then choose Manufacturer / Code Not Found Method and the IMEI, you can try it, and good luck!

Well I tried AT&T again - figured it was worth a shot. They took my name, cell number, ime # on the atrix..... she came back with "This phone is unlockable and will NEVER be able to be unlocked."
Is this true or just what they say????
Ugggg....
Mmm... what are you want to do exactly? sim-unlock? I mean, if you want to buy an unlock code for your phone, you just need the model, the original carrier that is locked to, and the imei, just that, they give you the unlock code based on the imei code...

I have used two unlock companies. Both come back saying they can't produce a code and at&T says it is was manufactured as "an unlockable device", which sounds strange to me.....
I don't know the personal "history" of the phone other than it's relatively new - obviously... but have no idea about "developer" editions or anything like that..... Is it possible that a phone was "made unlockable"??
I use TMobile and it is locked to AT&T **************

Don't worry, I use this phone on T-Mobile. It is unlockable. I too had two other companies fail to find the code and have to issue me a refund. I also spent a LONG time on the phone with AT&T who eventually said they couldn't unlock it because it was such a new model and they "reserved the right to keep it locked for up to a year". But the third company I tried, americanunlocker.com finally got me my unlock code and it worked fine. I'm now rockin T-Mobile's $30 plan on my AT&T Atrix HD. The unlock only cost me $15.

You Rock.....It took 5 days of "calculating unlock code" from AMERICAN UNLOCKERS..... but THEY DID IT!!!!
So definitely worth the $14.99!!! especially after 2 others who couldn't do it and 2 phone calls to AT &T where they were telling me it was unlockable for unknown reasons the first time and "would never be unlockable" on the second try!!!
THANKS SO MUCH!

Is everyone else getting a 5-day turnaround time from American Unlocker? I bought the code last Friday, and it's now Wednesday and they still haven't sent me the code. I'm starting to get worried since they said it would take 1-3 days.
It's been 10 days now since I placed my order with American Unlocker. Still no unlock code, and no reply to my messages via email, the fake "Live support" window, posts on their Facebok page, and messages to their Facebook profile. They don't pick up the phone either.
I finally got the code from American Unlocker, and it worked. They took their sweet time, but they delivered

Ive not seen any method to unlock the phone yourself. If you are looking to SIM-unlock the phone the best bet should be contacting Three.
If I'm not mistaken, Three unlock the phones for free. Just give them a call on 333.
They will, but only once your contract has ended, I believe.

Last time I asked they were going to charge me £15 and required proof of purchase (it got it from argos-SEMC Live with Walkman).
Three started providing unlocked phones from sometime around mid 2014. So if you have bought the phone from them directly or as part of a contract they should be able to unlock the phone for no charge.
If you bought the phone elsewhere then Three could charge you, you can look around for online alternatives who should be cheaper.
have you solved your issue?
I'm looking for a stock ftf with your problem I don't know how to make an ftf but if you could I'd be so greatful. I'm in the uk on three and my phone won't accept any simcard at all and I have tried so many ROMs and ftf files but none for the uk and for my own network could be a perfect solution for me...
If its not too much trouble I'd really appreciate it, otherwise good luck with your issue

[Q] Unlocked At&t Moto X not connecting to new carrier

I sent my At&t Moto X 2014 to get unlocked and when I received it and was told that it was unlocked, I took it to T-Mobile to get a SIM card to finally use it and it didn't want to connect to the carrier. It keeps saying to try again at a later time but the T-Mobile representative says that it may not have been unlocked right. Does anyone know what I can do or if it has happened to anyone else?

Ive never heard of sending a phone somewhere to be unlocked. Generally you either request an unlock code from your carrier or buy one from one of the many sim unlocking websites out there.
Have you contacted the place you sent your phone? That should be your first step. How much did it cost?

It was a cell phone store that usually repairs phones or unlocks them and so on, unfortunately I got out of T-Mobile too late to go back to the phone place. It cost $45 to unlock, and by seeing all these threads, I can already tell I overpaid.

Ouch! That's extortion! Unlock codes are usually around $5 from a third party site, or if the phone is off contract your carrier will give you the code for free. All you do is put in the new sim, type the code in the dialer and you're done. $45 for that is ridiculous. You definitely overpaid, sorry to say.
I saw in the other thread that some people had luck when they created a new APN. Have you tried that?

Yeah, I saw that, it was just my first time unlocking a phone and a friend had previously told me he got his unlocked there so I went there too. Never again, though. I did create a new APN and it connected to T-Mobile briefly for like 2 seconds before saying it had no service again. Now it doesn't connect at all. I don't think it has to do with it being unlocked wrong since other people have had the same problem. It definitely has something to do with the APN, I believe.
I had this problem and moto replaced my device. I still get disconnected from the new device but it's a lot better than the old one. I believe it's hardware issue. I'll have to call them again.

There is another thread in the "Moto X General" forum about this. Its a widely seen problem on ATT moto x which is unlocked and updated to lollipop. Jump to page# 36 in that thread and there is a temporary fix for this problem.

It seems all the sellers of unlock codes for lumias on cricket on ebay are now saying 640 not supported.
Why is that and where can I get unlock codes for these 4 cricket lumia 640s I have?

Ditto, I also cannot get my Cricket 640 SIM unlocked.
You 'aint kidding!
I bought it to play with for $30 a few days ago...at the same time I was porting my number to another carrier. I've been a staunch Android guy for years. Who would have thought that I would LOVE this thing! Then of course the port goes through and my new love is a paperweight. I've tried 3 or 4 unlock places, all with the same results "Unable to provide Unlock Code". I have spent hours trying to find a way to unlock it. God I hope someone on here figures it out, I'd hate to have to sign up for the $70 plan for a month just to get this thing unlocked!
Search on ebay : Cricket Lumia 640 unlock code 1 - 48 hours Price 15$
Well, I gave in. After trying a number of free sites, and more than a few paid sites including:
UnlockBase
UnlockLocks.com
Code-Unlock-Store
UB Software
Ping
All of which had the same result (sorry, cant unlock this, here is your refund). I finally signed up with Cricket at the $70 plan. I called them to unlock it a few hours after activation. So well are those suckers locked, it took Cricket 3 days to get their own unlock code. Finally, after all those hoops, time wasted with other companies and hours looking online, I have my unlocked Lumia 640. $30 for the phone and $70 for one month of service to get code...still...could have been worse. That being said, lesson learned, Cricket does appear to be harder to unlock than any other provider out there!
Hi Other than the $70 plan has anyone been able to get unlock codes? I tried and most say that for Cricket Lumia 640 the success rate is quite low and most said Unable to provide code.
As of December 9th still no luck for me. Anyone has update please post
Thank you

Ya no one seems to be able to unlock this specific device. All sellers I asked tell me this : you need to be active on cricket network or take the 70$ plan to be able to unlock this. If anyone has been able to successfully unlock please share details!

Struggling to Carrier Unlock - L09 Vodafone UK

Hey guys,
Looking for some advice on unlocking my device. I bought it of marketplace and it seems to be locked to Vodafone UK.
I'm having no issues at all when using a Vodafone sim and adding a new SIM prompts for the network unlock code (Expected behaviour) but I've tried 4 different companies now to try unlock the phone and each have said they can't find the code on their database?
I thought the IMEI might have been altered but it's aligned with what's on the box and legit.
Can anyone offer any advice on what to do next!? Cheers

You tried contacting Vodafone? Just a wild guess that they might help.

Yeah I've spoken to them, they said they can only help once I put a sim in the phone for over 30 days (I'm now 2/30).
Id just hate to wait 30 days for them to not be able to do it!
cop out but check ebay for vodafone unlocking codes usual takes alot less time. if you bought the phone second hand and as long as its older than 3 months it can be done. all comapies will say it can take upto 28 days to get the code but thats just to cover them.
just a quick look but this one says huawei

Yeah tried 2 of those eBay guys and no luck. Is there some sort of time restrictions on them getting the code if it's too new?
