So now I'm getting notification of software update.... I'm scared to accept it and brick my phone.... Is it safe to accept the software or no?

I wouldn't ever flash an ota update. If you want to update just download rom from sammobile and update with pc odin.

Just re install the ROM again and restart your note... Before this process remove all stuff from internal kernels....in you're mobile

I don't feel like rooting my phone. Is there any other way to solve this problem?? i seriously need help
If your not rooted and you ran update via Kies then i would load an old back up recovery from Kies and re install.

Returning to stock

Hi all,
Thinking of selling my i9000 soon (to upgrade to an S3), before I sell it. I'd like to return it to a stock rom and unroot it (currently on CM9), which stock rom should I use? How do I unroot it, and how do I remove all my personal information?
Thanks in advance
Rob

Thanks! Do I need to use a PIT and repartition? Are there any things to look out for since I'm going from ICS to GB, or is it just the same as flashing any other Odin ROM?
Sorry for all the questions
There is no problem to go back to gb from ics if you use odin.just flash it and you are done.

Excellent! I read somewhere a while back that there was, must have misread it...
Thanks!

I thought that it is not that easy because some ICS use different filesystems.
If you want to get back to gb custom rom it's difficult.odin is used to flash official firmware.

Ahh, because I would be using CWM for most custom ROMs?

There is no issue ,use odin to go back to unrooted gb and then root it and install whatever rom you want.

This one will help you. As I said it is not that easy and needs some patience from you, but you will succeed.

[Q] rooted by exynos abuse app. Sky go dead...

Hi.
I have a question. I rooted my stock 4.0.4 xeu N7000 with chainfires exynos abuse app. When i unooted using the app Sky go worked ok.
Now when i tried it again. It says sky go does not work with rooted device. I have checked with other apps and it says it is unooted.

Have you tried to download OTA rootkeeper and choose Hide Root from inside it ?
Its ridiculous how it wont work with rooted phones, there must be a patch somewhere ? Im a Virgin Media user myself so i dont have this issue.

unroot by flashing the ROM again
Tried reinstalling Rom with mobile odin. Now have stock 4.0.4 with no root and stock recovery and it still won't work. Could this be because of using mobile odin?

It's almost the same using pc or mobile

I dont get why sky go still says im rooted
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Have you taken the sky app out and replaced it?
If you have the copy of the app you had when rooted it may be the problem. Was for me. I did the above and it worked.
From box 13......
Tried that too. Ill try again though for good measure

Instead of going back to ICS through Odin try to flash the GB LC1 ROM (which is full wipe). Chances are you have flashed a non wipe stock ICS ROM. Hence some undesirable leftovers.

If you know everything your questions are a surprise.
My answer was short because there really isn't anything more to do. Why should I talk and fill an answer with bloatwords?
Of course you should make backups (in recovery and/or with TB) of your devices and data - but that isn't a "must" only a sign of "diligence".
I heard some ROM doesnt work with philz or blablabla and im just afraid cuz i never try. And another one is i saw some custom mention LSZ or anything else, i afraid that official JB XXLSZ only for XXLSZ and will brick if i flash it on XXLRI. And im asking what to do before flashing, because i thought there would be something i need to install/flash before flashing that official JB. Thx guys

Because you flashed a custom soft with ODIN PC, probably a kernel. You can use triangle away to reset the counter.
yes you can still update
Still while my counter is 1?
