}
But it perfectly works with USB 3.0 ports! Problem is not in the USB 2.0 port because all other USB devices are working good in that port
how to fix this problem?
anyone ?
With the new HTC software, it will show up as a CD drive and a media device. What you need to do is download the drivers for the phone and update manually in the device manager for the portable devices. The CD drive is HTC sync which after you download the drivers, you don't need to worry about it

Hello,
actually don't know why but my galaxy tab doesn't seem to work over usb. It loads through usb like normal.. but it doesnt connect for odin or just as hard drive.
wether in ubuntu(linux) nor OS X or even Windows 7 (tried several pcs and several editions, with and without kies bein installed!)
Any clue if I can flash it through SD without the need of connecting it to a PC ? Or how I can fix the usb problem ?
I guess it came through a "failed flash" but I dont know. I tried to flash it once through ODIN but after that try it didn't work. The TAB itself works like everything else but just the usb connection doesnt!
I think maybe after flashing a new rom it will work again ?

Go to menu, settings, wireless and network, go down to usb settings and make sure it is selected as mass storage. I am not sure if you have tried this or not but after I flashed I had no working usb so I went into the usb setting and I had to select mass storage and now it works perfect.
I hope this helps you in any way

i used this to make my generic gamepad work, it doesn't have driver for it, so we need to manually "create" the driver by mapping the keys to the bits
i used it to play nes emulator, works perfectly

Yep will not work without a valid driver as pointed out here.

Yep, creates a driver for you. Nice find and share. I was agreeing with your comment in full, my point you must have a valid driver that can communicate to any device, whether you create one your self, or get someone else to do it.
I tried everything I could think of, try different cable, install adb driver, try in different computers, turn ADB debugging on and off, turn MTP on and off.

It doesnt even see it in portable devices nor does it install drivers when I plug it in.

Possible the USB port is damaged if there is no host acknowledgement when the device is initially tethered.

It would seem you have ruled out most common obstacles by trying different hosts, ports, cables drivers, etc. Windows should acknowledge a hardware connection (audibly and in device manager) even if the 'wrong' driver is installed/selected. A final test might involve placing your device in recovery mode and invoking the sideload option while monitoring Windows device manager. If nothing shows up the you have a 'hardware' issue would could be any component in the chain.
Anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it.?

Use the USB charging cable which came with your note 9. Connect your note 9 to your laptop using this cable. Allow permission. Done. That worked for me!
drivers?
Win 7 to 10 should recognise the device without need of external driver installation...
Anything older than that or Linux, you might need to look on the Samsung site...
It's Windows 10 and for some weird reason nothing happens except that the phone will charge when plugged into the laptop the same laptop I've used for all my galaxy Notes I've had drivers installed on my HP forever just don't get why this Note 9 is any different.

Check your USB Configuration in Developer Mode and make sure it's not set to charging.

how can i flash and unbrick it?
please help...
musicmate said:
As far as you described the circumstances, there is no Option to Unbrick it.
But Why?
Except from the Recovery Mode there is the Download Mode to Flash Software/Tools (e.g. Bootloader, Recovery, ROM):
-> One Option ist to access the I9300 via Download Mode and ADB/Odin, but without a working USB-Port... .
-> Another Option is to access via Wireless-ADB (Network-IP-based ADB), but to activate it, you'll have to get into the ROM's Settings (Developers-Options). Therefore you'll need an working ROM, which didn't seem so... .
-> Last possible Solution: Get in touch with Microelectronics and solder a new Micro USB Port to your Phone.
Otherwise you'll now have new opportunities to use your I9300 as:
Decorative Night Light/ Paperweight/ Doorstopper...
(Annotation: The Battery Charging Dock won't help, 'cause it's construed for standalone loading accumulators.)
