[Q] how to partition sd card

hi all,
I am new here and i have rooted my samsung mini, and am using the music edition rom by crazy_k_p . I want to partition my SD CARD. i have read many threads and non of them were satisfying.
what is ext1,2,3,4. what is swap space?... and does the custom ROM be on my sd card? if yes , then when i format my sd card will i be able to use the rom again?....
i want to partition sd card so that i can move m apps to SD using A2SDGUI.
PLZ HELP ME OUT...............

Go to CWM, then Advanced >> Partition SD EXT (1024mb is good, 0mb swap),
Then from mount & format, you can format SD-ext, Install scrip(Or use S2E if you like).

u can use mini tool partition wizard .
its very easy buddy

just be careful when partitioning your mircosd card because it will automatically reformat your memory card thus erasing everything that's currently saved inside.
be sure to backup you memory card's contents first before partitioning.

mini tool partition wizard is best ! Works like a charm for me .

If I have swapped 500mb will day make me get more memory or no?

You can't physically increase the phones internal memory size, but your SD partition can be any size you wish. I assume your looking to use your SD card to store apps?

Hi Guys This is the question How to APP 2 SDCART?
My phone is rooting and i dont transfer to data files or app files to sdcard.
How do I make it?
İ installig to DroidSail Super App2SD Lite and i can't running this program is an error and says :There is not enough storage space left moving
Please help me

Hi uguro. If you want to transfer "GAMES" data I recommend you to download GL2SD (gameloft-to-sd). It's compatible with almost all games (even if they are not from gameloft company) and it will move your data to SD without any problem and saving a lot of space on your phone. On the other hand, if you wanna move apk to sd, you can try Link2SD. You need to make a 1GB "primary" partition on your SD card in ext2 format (I'm using "Mini Tool Partition Wizard Home Edition" on windows to do that) and let Link2SD to mount it after rebooting your device.

Hey uguro you can move all your apps to sd card if your phone is rooted.
Download titanium backup and titanium backup pro(key license) both of them requires root permision.
N u can dwnld key license from blackmart alpha.

I thought Link2SD didn't work on this phone.

....Link2SD works on this phone.....i think the problem is that you don´t know how to configurate it right....

or do i need to partition sc card or sth.?

ok, now we are 2 with the same question...
i have samsung galaxy ace and i´m testing P.A.C ROM JB 4.2.2
does exist any APP or SCRIPT or SDK CODE or any ABRACADABRA WORDS to make SD card to internal memory for APPS and CACHE
please help!

Camera and memory prblm

Hey guys i got big prblm in z1 camera could not save pic to sdcard while I take pic ut says could not save but if i make to internal thenbit saves what may b the prblm same goes to video

You need the write to sdcard fix, but you need to be rooted for that. If not, just save to your internal memory

But the camera is a system applications...and system application have access to ext storage right ?
