Odin/Keis Stock Flash Failure - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Attempted to flash my OG Galaxy Tab 10.1 back to stock and it failed half way through Odin.
When booted up, screen displayed message "Recovery failed Update through Keis. Keis doesn't seem to recognize device.
Help. Ideas?

You should not be posting question in dev forum, moreover in a galaxy tab 7" one.
Go to your own forum and in the right sub forum.

Was it crashing or hanging?
I recently tried to restock and it hung on "hidden.rfs". In the end I first flashed GB_Stock_Safe_v5 and this worked (at which point I suspect you would be able to then flash your OEM/Offical firmware without issue)?

I have the same thing, i can only think of flashing the default rom to it again. but i can't find it online anywhere!
Hi
Get your ROM from www.sammobile.com (if I remember correctly) it was www.samfirmwares.com and then flash it using Odin.
I found some guidelines on xda and my GT is live again

[Q] Help: Flashed the bootloader of my Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 with the wrong binary

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000. Using Odin3 v3.04 I (accidently) flashed the Bootloader with the wrong binary. With the Auto-Reboot option selected on the Odin3, the device turned off and is not turning on again.
Before flashing, my Tab had the official Samsung GB 2.3.3 (P1000JPJPC if I am not mistaken).
Some threads suggest that I charge the Tab using the wall charger for 4 hours, and see if the battery icon appears on the screen or not, then connect the tab to the PC. I did that. I connected the Tab to the wall charger overnight. Nothing appeared on the screen. Then the next morning I connected the Tab to the PC, nothing happened. The PC does not recognize that there is anything connected on its USB port.
The Tab is not turning on. I've tried to press (and long press) almost every combination of the Tab's keys I could think of, but the Tab just won't turn on.
I guess I hardbricked my device (as explained in this thread)
I don't think I'll be able to apply the Unbrickable process explained here.
Having said that, my question is: Is there anything else I can do at home to revive my Tab, or do I need to send it to Samsung repair center?
-Adel
I think you brick it.
Flashing bad boot loader kills the tab.

You can also send it to mobiletechvideos.com.

If you've completely killed your tab, what can be done to fix it. I have a similar problem with my tab in that it gets to the screen that says samsung galaxy tab and then stops there. I have been searching the net and have rooted the tab and then tried to flash firmware but i am struggling to get the tab to read the ext sd card with the firmware on it.I don't really know my way around this type f thing but have to figure it out because I can't afford to take it in to be repaired right now. Advise will be appreciated.

Your problem is different from OP.
Can you boot to download mode? Can you boot to recovery, if so which recovery (stock or cwm).
Ave you tried Overcome method , as in my signature?

Hi Priyana,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, as far I could tell from reading up on it, I would guess mine is not bricked.
I can boot to download mode and to recovery - cwm (v3.0.0.5). I have tried downloading Overcome and anything else I thought might work but this is where I get stuck. I've wiped the cache and other things like that described on the net and on videos (actually this is what got me into this in the first place). When I copy a .zip file onto the external sd card and put it in the tab, I can't install the zip from the sd card because it can't find the directory I made. I'll have a look in your signature and see what I can find there but any guidance would be much appreciated.
Komplotter,
Yeah, I am not sure about cwm 3.0 accessing external SD.
Try using overcome restock, jump to page 7 PDF.
Flash stock, then overcome kernel.
That gives cwm 5.0

Hi,
I managed to get CWM 5.5.0.4 and get ICS installed in my tab by using two files (CF-Root-TAB7_XX_OXA_JQ1-v3.3-CWM3RFS and P1000XXJQ1_P1000XXJQ1_P1000XXJPZ). I would still like to use Overcome and I have had a brief look at the installation guide. I'll have a more thorough look and then give it a shot. I see that there is a version 4.1.0. Would I use that in that same way as the 4.0.0 ROM, because the Overcome7_ROMv4_Wipe file won't extract (there seems to be a problem with it and I've downloaded it twice).
You don't need the overcome ROM.
Just GB stock safe and overcome kernel.

[Q] Galaxy Tab P1000 no reboot

Hi
I need help, if some one could help me was very good.
I upgrade my Galaxy Tab P1000 to Android 4.1.1 via Jelly Bean Sapir ROM (CM10-based) follow the procedure in this link
How to upgrade the Galaxy Tab P1000 to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean
Everything went perfectly until the end.
After the reboot re-enter recovery mode, I was doing a little research and found someone who says the tab came in recovery again to install the google app.
Okay I installed the gapps. He returned to boot into recovery, after tried it out of recovery mode but could not.
I opted to try again and get back behind the previously created backup. From then on the tab starts the past 2/2 blocks and only appears on screen Galaxy tab and bottom samsung.
Someone can help me?
Friends I am not well understood in this matter if I have said or done something stupid peoblemas not have to tell me learn and not just because I repeat.
From already thank you
When you first install CM10, you need to flash it multiple times, could be up to 4 times.
The first few just upgrades your cwm/kernel and converts to mtd, etc.
The last one will take the longest, you will see messages about flashing system etc etc.
Only then you flash gapps after the last long flash.

Do you now how can I recover my tablet?
League is not as if there was software.

If so follow overcome links in my signature.

No, the battery died and I went by charging past few hours I went to see if it was loaded and the stack that appears on the screen remained blank but the tablet was light on the buttons ...
No power, no turn off, the tablet is frozen on the screen with the battery.
But even when he entered the recovery mode would not let me access the memory card ...
If you are talking about stock recovery (3e) then don't even bother to look into that.
For now just concentrate on charging the device and boot to download mode.

SC-01c galaxy tab logo freeze
Hi guys good day to all of you. I would just like to know if this post from one of our senior members here would also work on a japanese DOCOMO sc-01c P1000 tab? or anyone had already tried restoring on this kind of unit version?
Had tried using different pit files and stockroms from SAMFIRMWARE but still my unit freezes and blinks on the Galaxy Tab screen until later on all i see is the bricked logo so I used Heimdall to hoping to restore it back but no luck still on the freeze mode :crying: . Sorry guys but I am just new here in doing all of these stuffs that's why i just decided to post this question to ask for proper guide from those you had tried recovering P1000 DOCOMO.
Hope you can help me out and maybe share the right files and details. Thanks in advance guys.
Flashed the stock version with pit file.
Same problem.
In Stock recovery,Wiped the data and factory reset.
Problem did not resolved.
Then wiped it through cwm recovery.
Same problem.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 stuck on battery screen

Yesterday I bought a Samsung galaxy tab and when I got home tried to update it but when it was rebooting it got stuck on this galaxy tab logo. I tried to go into recovery mode to factory restore it but instead it showed an image that it was updating but after 100% and android image with a red warning triangle. Then it took me back to the galaxy screen. I then proceed it to go to Odin mode but it wouldn't detect it. When I was in Odin mode it said this: Costume binary: Yes (1 count) Current binary: costume. I then turned it off for 30 minutes then it didn't turned on at all so I put it to charge over night and now it doesn't do anything but shut down or stay in a battery image. I apologize if I post it wrong its my first time doing this. Thank you

Your best option would be to go to the galaxy tab 2 7.0 forum. This is for the original gtab 7.0. They could give you the best advice and correct roms.
