WiFi Connection with VPN and MPPE-encryption.
This is just working for a couple of seconds. Then it all halts with a lot of "Reject for unsupported protocol " in my router.
Without encryption it's all OK.
I've read that Android can be unstable regarding to MPPE-encryption depending on version.
Anyone got a solution ?
Right now I'm on
JB 4.1.2 XXLQE version
CoCore E 7.0 ( I've tried E 5.0 but no difference)
HarshJelly ROM v 2.0
Only thing I can think of now is to change the encryption mode

I recently installed O2X GB rom..its nice and smooth except for one thing , I cant get data connection , wiffi works great , but when I put wifi off I have no internet connection(yes data is enabeld), I d/l apn and I see the settings are correct I also tried getril to make sure I have the correct ril and baseband,I used the 622 GB baseband and Still no luck? Anybody have any ideas on what Im doing wrong?

you can't use that baseband, it's only for T-mobile G2x CMIIW. you should use antoher baseband m8
Of course it's not for the G2X, their radio versions are nothing like it.
I presume you are able to make voice calls/SMS currently? You don't have 'Unknown' as the baseband version?
I got it working ,
I checked my APN's they where on default Fido, I just enabled data when roaming and it worked, I guess thats why I had a r on top of the signal bars, But the question is why deos my cell go on roaming?

ok so after doing a lot off searching and reading , I found a way to get rid of the " r " roaming , on the dialer I enter *#*#4636#*#* - phone setting - scroll down and turn radio off then on , and the r vanishes , only working with CM7 unfortunatly!! I tried it on th new 2.3.4 GB rom and no luck!! any Ideas ?? anyone?? , I noticed that the user " netuser " is on telus and he is using the 2.3.4 GB rom , I wonder if he has the R problem also ?

Hi i got problem with all gb 2.3.7(gingercrutz 7.5,gingerxperia v10 and fd xperience 2.0) roms with wifi . I have in my room on desk router secured with wep password and when i install one of these roms it says that wifi network is out of range or cant find it , it finds wpa networks from outside my home but my wep cant ,everything else works perfect only this is problem . Ive tried full wipe etc and nothing , anyone can provide any solutions to solve this ? On any other 2.3.5 roms works on 2.3.7 not

There is wifi bug that can be fixed by forgeting all networks.
But yo wouldn't see any network if that was the problem

Hello, I m using a s5570I device and I have the follow problem:
-sometimes when I am using wifi or 3g the network connection stops working. The wifi/3g is on but the internet refuse to work. When this happens the solution is to reboot the phone.
Can you help me with this problem please?

Are you on stock or custom rom?In both cases i suggest you to reflash it and see if the problem has gone away..it could also be a baseband problem so be sure to take the most recent and suitable one for your country
Stock ROM. It makes the same even after fresh flash rom.
3g problems could depend on your apn settings..be sure that you have the right settings..What about baseband?Is that the right version for your country?Anyway i suggest you to move to a custom rom to improve user experience

Not so many custom roms for my galaxy mini plus device. And are lots of roms with huge bugs. APN settings are right.

WiFi direct is not working for me properly.
I.e.
I can receive files through WiFi direct bt I can't send any file.. always msg appears that " waiting for send"
I used all stock JB roms xxlqy xxlqz xxlq4 & xxlqb..
I'm getting same problem in all of them.
I never use WiFi direct on GB. (I don't even know is there any option as WiFi direct in GB??)
So , I don't knw that WiFi direct was working for me or not on GB.
If anyone know how this problem occurs any how to solve it plz help .

My N7000 running 4.1.2 with build JZO54K.N7000XXLT5, base band N7000XXLT3, kernel 3.0.31-1103517 has serious problems connection to wifi lately.
I was running the latest german version before and without modifying anything, wifi became extremely unstable, leading to many connection timeouts or no connection at all. Installing LT5 did not change anything.
What can cause this? Should I replace the /etc/wifi folder with one of a working installation (if so, can someone send me a zip/tar please?)? Is this a known issue with the latest Jelly Bean releases?

the antenna is not likely to contact with the phone body.
Try to take your phone apart and build it back. It will fix ur problem.
