I just bought the inductive charging cover for the Droid 4 and a Nokia DT-900 charging pad. I'm loving the reality of wireless charging so far. No more searching for a charging code that's fallen on the floor when going to bed. The DT-900 is a nice charging pad and appears to charge the phone quickly. I like the fact that the plate doesn't make any noise when I place the phone down on it. My only complaint is that the phone has to be placed fairly low on the pad to properly charge. If I center the phone on the charger, it appears to charge for a few minutes, but then gives me a flashing light to indicate improper charging. This wouldn't be as big of a deal if the error was more immediate. Has any one tried any of the other charging pads out there such as the LG WCP-300 to see if there are better alternatives out there?
I am using a Ghost-100 by Insipio that i bought because my usb port broke and i haven't had time to take it apart and resolder it. It seems to work just fine for me plus it really wasn't that expensive even buying it from Verizon. I have only had it for a few days however so we will see.

I live in Hungary, too. It's not impossible, you have to check eBay quite often, as there are very few wireless charging covers are up for sale. Last one was listed about a week ago. The main problem is that it's quite expensive for us with shipping (you won't be able to buy it under 50-60 USD - 10-15000 HUF).
What other accessories you want to buy? Send me a PM, maybe I can point you in the right direction.

I live in Canada, and had small issues finding the charging pad that works as well as the battery cover that works with the charging pad.
I took the recommendations from the Verizon website and bought the Verizon/Motorola wireless charging cover, and the LG wireless charging pad.
I bought both from https://www.fusionelectronix.com/
They are located in the USA, and i called the phone number before I ordered. They answer their phones. and The person I spoke with was extremely friendly and gave me a custom deal on shipping. I had my items within 2 days and everything was perfect.

I recently have been running through USB cables and got tired of not being able to count on a steady charge overnight. So I decided to purchase the inductive charging cover from Verizon's website and a PowerBot PB1020 off of Amazon. It works great and was only around $20.

As I am guessing you've long since replaced your Droid 4, would you be willing to part with the charging cover? I am searching high and low but can't find one for sale.

Just browsing the classifieds and I stumbled across this. He is asking $85 per unit, which includes the charging pad. Rip off? Apparently its Qi Charging standard as well. Passed a few emails back and forth and he seems legit. Just wanted to ask here before I spend the money. Pictures attached as well.
Here's his add:
Why trust your expensive phone with those hack-job kits sold on eBay using outdated Palm technology, this kit is 100% compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S3 and does not require any additional software or setup.
The charging pad will charge the phone up to 100% and maintain the charge until you remove the phone.
The Qi standard has been chosen as the official standard going forward as seen in the Nexus 4 phone.
All Samsung Galaxy S3 phones come with the dedicated wireless charging connector from the factory as shown in the photos.
The only piece left is this charging kit.
< How does it install? Easy! >
Simply remove the battery cover off the phone, line up the receiver tag with the phone's charging connector and stick it on. Snap the battery cover on. It's that easy!
All you have left now is to plug the DC adapter into the charging pad and use any 120v wall outlet.
You will see a green light turn on, indicating the charging pad is on.
For those who purchase these kits, I can install the tag and demonstrate how the charging works.
Cases do not interefere with this unless they are made of metal in which case no wireless charging kit let alone NFC will work.
This kit does not interefere with NFC (Near field communication)
< How does it charge? >
Simply place your phone on the charging pad, an audible beep will sound and a flashing blue light indicating wireless charging has started.
Your phone will then display a message "You have placed the device within range. Now charging wirelessly..."
Package Includes:
1x Samsung Galaxy S3 sticker tag (Receiver)
1x Wireless Charging Pad (Transmitter)
1x US Socket DC Adapter for charging pad
I also have the Note 2 Charging Kit if anyone is interested

OP, you say "not eBay" but the receiver has "made in China" on it. So it's no different than any of the one's on eBay except you're buying it via e-mail directly from someone who imported it.
Here's the one that people said they had issues with (off of eBay). To me, it looks cheaply made; especially the receiver.
Here's one that just became available that's disussed in the thread linked below. It's $60 shipped from HK. It looks more substantial and is made by "Metrans" which is considered high-end locally in China. A couple of us ordered them. Mine's shipped and should be here early next week and I'll post pics and a review.

Definitely confirm its not the one pictured on top. I have 2 of those. The first quit working after the a few days and the second (which ordered before the first one broke) is already having troubles.
So I have been doing a lot of looking and this is my first phone with Wireless/Qi charging. Here is what I found so far. What is everyones experience, favorites, and ones to avoid? Two of the main issues Ive seen are, how finicky is the charger on where you place the phone. And does it trickle charge. If it "turns off" at 100%, your phone will start to discharge and youll wake up at 90%.
LG-WCP-300 - seems a little small. Would love a slab type that I can just plop my phone down and hot worry it'll tip over because I put it too far to one side. It charges at 1.8 which is nice (I think per androidcentral, the power cord is 1.8, but the base drops it down to 1A, oh well)
http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-WCP-300-Wireless-Charging/dp/B00C6VP03I/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1379117720&sr=1-1&keywords=lg+wireless+charger
Nokia DT-90 - some say you have to get it in that "sweet" spot, which is annoying when you are wanting to just put it down and go to sleep.
http://www.amazon.com/Nokia-DT-900-Wireless-Charging-Plate/dp/B00A3NCC5K/ref=sr_1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1379117800&sr=1-2&keywords=wireless+charger
Panasonic Qi Charging Pad QE-TM101-K - doesnt trickle charge. So when it gets to 100...it turns off, then when your phone gets to ~95% it turns back on and then on and then off...and so on...no good. Although the size and ability to put it ANYWHERE and know itll start charging it perfect.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOHb-bBlPow
ZENS Wireless - "turns off after fully charged." so after it gets to 100%...itll turn off and Ill wake up with it at 90%??
http://www.shopandroid.com/zens-wireless-single-charger/5A233A14193.htm
LuguLake 6000mAh - looks cool, not that the portability is needed. Seems to be easily placed and starts charging.

Others
TYLT http://tylt.com/vu/
Energizer - its very slick and a little angled so some phones (probably not the G2?) tend to slide down it and you wake up with your phone on the floor http://www.energizer.com/portable-power/wireless-chargers/qi-wireless/Pages/single-charger.aspx
I got the Nokia for my G2 based on all the reviews. No sweet spot needed so far. I just basically place the phone on the plate and it charges.
Went with the Nokia as well.Works fine.
I like the devices offered by TYLT - not only the QI charger due to its ability to serve as a table stand while charging the phone, but also the power plant and the USB connector cables are interesting. The design is nice, too. Has anyone recognized this brand and used their products?
Really like the Tylt Vu....been eyeing it forawhile, and may scoop one up.
I'm also interested in this: http://www.nokia.com/global/products/accessory/cr-200/ A little pricey but A LOT of functionality.
do you all charge your devices every night? all the old talk about not charging your device all the time so you don't "wear" out your battery. Is it actually better to have a charger that turns off and on? I liked the tylt charger too, thinking that or the nokia.

I have it and I'm very happy with it. Charges quickly despite specs and there is no "sweet spot." Just drop and charge. Also, I like the cable from the wall outlet to the base was longer than most so it sits nicely on my desk at work.

Just pulled the trigger on the TYLT VU, liked the idea of having it upright a little. I think the LG charges faster but Ill be charging overnight so no biggie. FYI...Nordstrom is $100 but from TYLT is $70!
dt-900 is $25 @ AT&T's store... if you have a premium corporate discount, drops another 50%.. Just got 2 for $25 shipped
I picked this one up, but now i'm unsure because it says there is a 1A output, doesn't that mean it will say it's slow charging? Love the idea of being able to charge on the go.

I got a Yes Digi Qi charger from Amazon (link). It works just fine with my G2. The first time I put it on it kept connecting/disconnecting the power rapidly, until I realized it has to sit up just a tad above being centered. I haven't had any problems since.
I haven't received my case yet (Incipio DualPro), so I don't know if it will work with it. I have, however, gotten it to charge through a stack of about 20 sheets of printer paper so I'm sure it'll be fine with a case.
Update: Just got my case yesterday. I can happily report that the charger works with the case. Yay!
Thanks! I will be receiving this as a gift. Hopefully it works...
www.amazon.com/Lerway-Wireless-Powe...dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1
Just received two of those ... they work great !
The LED is very good to tell you if the link is good. Easy to locate the good spot.
Charge pretty quick (VZW LG G2, Nexus 7 all with covers).
Nokia DT-900 Half-off
The Nokia DT-900 is currently half-off on att.com, if anyone's interested.
http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/accessories/chargers/sku6290260.html#fbid=Qec_2FFDzlV
The Nokia's look like they are small and thick. I'd like to see some pics of the Nokia with a G2.
The Lerway looks similar to my Samsung model except it lacks the LED, which I can do without. I'd spend $20 on a Qi Charger. Can't see spending $50+ though.
DERP!
Just watched a Youtube video and realized the Nokia DT-900 Qi Charger uses a stupid barrel plug for power. FAIL. Instant fail. I travel and love being able to take 1 wall adapter, 1 MicroUSB cable, and my Qi Charging plate and it lets me Qi Charge, or charge my headphones, or tablet, controllers, etc.
Not interested in a Qi Charger that requires its own power supply. I'd rather do the LerWay or try to find another Samsung for $24 (what I paid for mine).

That's pretty cool! Let us know if the 2.1A output will achieve fast charge. I just got a power bank and even with the 2A output it slow charges.
I don't think you're getting a fast charge with Qi. I think the transfer rate is super slow which is a limitation of the current technology.

Does that charge as fast as a normal charger? I think wireless charging would be nice (though not really necessary) so if it works just as fast or faster i might get one but if not then i dont see the benefit for myself. Thanks

Whoops, sorry I took so long to respond. It's definitely slower than the wired charger that came with the G2. But on the other hand, I'm in and out of my office throughout the day, so it's nice to just pop it on when I'm in and let it sip some juice. It's usually full before noon, even with me putting it on and off. I don't charge it overnight so it gets down to about 30-40% depending on my use the rest of the previous day.

The tylt seems to be the best deal in terms of consistent docks. I have returned several different chargers and am using the tylt and choe stadium chargers..
My charger works fine, but stops supplying power once the device reaches 100%. I'll wake up with about 98% because of several hours of standby drain.

I have the powerBot and can confirm the same. Works reliably, but takes a bit of moving around to get it started. Once I get the solid blue light on it then I've never had an issue with the charge being incomplete.

i have the CHOE Stadium Qi Wireless Charger and it's working without issue. it even charges with my (thin) case on the phone.

it works fine, but it turns the damn thing on 100% of the time. i don't want that. charges Nexus 5 just fine while it's off. for now i'm just using the turbo charger until i can figure out what the hell to do
With my nexus 6, I have had good luck with the itan ( a tylt vu knock off) http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00LE6X5VU/ and tylt vu charger, also the 2012 original google wireless charger, but my other qi chargers do not work well, including two airdocks and the 2013 nexus wireless charger. It is more an issue of correct placement, than the qi technology per se. Qi works on the nexus 6, butit is harder to place the n6 correctly due to the two axis curved back plate, which has no flat part at all, so the small single coil chargers do not work as well as the larger triple coil chargers, like the itan or tylt vu or chose stadium.
Following back here, I have been using the Tylt Vu without flaw for a month of so here. It's very good at working with the 6 when I just put it down on it, no fiddling necessary ever.
Definitely recommend.

I ordered this fairly cheap Qi Wireless Charger Pad on eBay and it works perfectly.

I have what appears to be this exact unit, ordered here... http://www.ebay.com/itm/181694553032?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT in fact, I bought 3 of them at the same time (i wanted them for different locations that i am all day) and none of them work for some reason... i line my n6 up exactly, the light turns green for a second or 2, my phone shows that it's charging for less than a second and then the plate goes back to red again... i've tried all kinds of alignments, even disassembled one to see if there was too much space between the coil and the phone... it hasn't worked for more than a blip...

You’re right. I have two different pads I’ve tried:
*
1.*******CHOETECH Qi Wireless Charger Pad – works almost never. Even with meticulous placement.
2.*******PowerBot® PB1020 Qi Enabled Wireless Charger Pad – works reliably with very careful placement.

I’m intrigued to try the TYLY Vu, just ordered a used one. Hoping this provides more reliable everyday use. I’d prefer to be able to just put the hone down before bed and be assured it will work every time.

I have the CHOE triple coil QI and I have had no issues charging my Nexus 6. It even charges through my INCIPIO rubber case.
Using a Nokia as we speak, never had a problem. That being said you have to realize that the charging coil is off center in this phone, approzimately 1/3 of the way up from the bottom, I assume to facilitate the use of chargers designed for smaller phones. This can cause a charging problem for those that don't position the phone correctly over the centered charging spot on the charger. Remember that and all chargers should work on the N6 as well as they work on any other Qi phone.
Using a vzw 3 coil. only thing I've noticed is that sometimes it doesn't start charging. I usually unplug the pin connector, wait a few seconds, them plug it back in and its always been full in the morning.
Qi Powerbot
I have a Nexus 6 and using the Powerbot PB1020. It works very well, connects easily, charges fast, not much heat but when it finishes it cuts the powerbot off and will not charge again until I unplug and re-plug the powerbot. This is not a huge deal but I would like to see myself never touching the plug again. Case in point, my elderly parents are very interested in Qi charging as they have a hard time seeing the plug on the phone and would benefit greatly from total Qi charging. However, if they have to unplug and replug the powerbot every night to reset it, then it seems a waste of money. Any others having this issue? Is it only on the Powerbot? DO all of the chargers do this? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks,
Rob

i have a samsung wireless charger($50), and it never cuts off the charger or "stops" charging.
About a week ago I used a match to singe the nylon that was fraying as it was bad and I was past the 2 week return policy from Verizon. Ever since then my wireless charging has not functioned properly. I had two different chargers. The first one was a Keedox stand and the second was the PowerBot
So I was using the keedox charger but after awhile it would just randomly disconnect and the phone would say detected wireless charger starting charge. I tried the Powerbot charger and it went all the way through no issues with the screen turning back on constantly. Well now the Powerbot is doing the same thing the first one did. I left it on the mat last night but when I woke up it was only at 50% and had stopped charging. I use an app called battery widget and it showed me around 60% it just stopped and starting discharging. I already returned the Keedox one assuming it was defective but now this leads me to think its a problem with the phone. Could the receiver coil in my phone be bad and causing issues with the wireless chargers?

I've never been able to get my $15 Powebot (the small circular one) to work well with my Turbo
I saw s video on the Nexus 6 and showing how hard it was to exactly position it for wireless charging. Our Turbos could be having the same issue. Lack of magnet and small sensor.

my single coil qi charger was a pain with the turbo. i have the itian a6 and it works great everytime

I have the same problem with the Powerbot. I have a feeling it might be the rubber around the edge not letting the phone get close enough to the coil. it works perfectly to charge my Nexus 7 and Moto 360 though, so it might just be the Droid.
For the record. the Aukey Wirless Charging Station is by far the best charger for all my devices. Droid turbo works great in portrait or landscape

But is it possible exposure to alot of heat could have harmed the wireless charger to the point where it no longer functions? That was my other concern. Im not sure how the receiving coil is in the phone.

My phone won't charge on my PowerBot, but I have 2 Nokia chargers that work excellently with the Turbo. The Powerbot charger works fine with my Moto 360.
I believe the Nokia charges have 3 coils in them, so it is really easy to get a decent placement of the phone on the charger.
I think the powerbot is a single coil charger, and placement is really critical. I think I've been able to get the Turbo to charge before, but only after playing around forever with placement. The distance from the charger to the phone shouldn't be so sensitive that the rubber on the charger would keep it from charging.
sensor size
just my opinion, but compared to the last phone i had, I feel like the turbo has a very small sweet spot to actually charge clean.
still love the phone, it's awesome. The huge battery has had me slowly not being always worried about finding a charger all day. My battery ptsd is going away!
just my 2 cents..
Has anyone had a good experience w/the powerbot? I already put two on my Christmas list
Is it just finicky, or doesn't work at all?
Though if the Moto 360 charges ok on it I can still use it for that I suppose.

I keep one at work and it worked fine with my S3 (with receiver pad). The turbo needs to be o it 'just right' to work. I could live without the beep, but whatever.
I would buy another if I needed to ..
