I am new here and I have only one problem with my device right now, btw its:
VIVAX tablet TPC-97150
CPU 1,5 GHz - ROCKCHIPS dual-cove Cortex A9
OS - Android™ 4.1 Jelly Bean
RAM - 1G DDR3
HDD - 8GB, microSD card slot (max 32GB)
IPS panel - 9.7”, 1024x768 pixela
Kamera - Prednja 0.3MP, stražnja 2MP
Pvezivanje - USB OTG, Utor za TF karticu, HDMI, USB HOST, audio jack
1. I 've bought Gold Adapter HDMI Female to Mini Male Converter for a few $ then connected with my HDMI cable further to Sony Bravia TV.
2. Went to settings and set HDMI =ON= and resolution 1920x1080 60hz
What happend then?
TV resolution WAS 1080p as set, but tablet output was 1024x768 in the middle of TV (unstreched, wide and with ugly bright colors and some sky dots), I 've also tried on my HDMI monitor but results were the same
What is the problem? Was this expected? Can I get 1080p output on my monitor somehow with this tablet? Do I need different cables or it's impossible.
Please people help me I have noone to ask.
What does this have to do with a droid bionic?

Hi everyone,
I have a problem to connect phone on Philips 196V monitor with hd ready resolution. I'm using HDMI cable and "HDMI TO DVI" converter. Picture is ok, but resolution is only 1024x768px and quality is terrible.
Stock ROM settings don't allow to change resolution, only stay to AUTO.
Gueste2X v3.1 with CM7, there are no adjustments.
Any solution please...?
Sorry for bad English..
So my free Dex has finally arrived. Trying to connect it to my Dell 2007WFP monitor to save buying a second screen. Got a full 1080p HDMI to VGA Video Converter Adapter Cable Male to Male D-SUB 15 Pin M/M Full 1080P with 3.5mm Audio Output One-way Signal Converter-1.8m/6f as the monitor can switch between two feeds, BUT...
I get the error message - Input signal out of range, change the setting to 1680 1050 60Hz but it's already at that. I've also tried updating my graphics card driver.
Any help appreciated :fingers-crossed:
HDMI to VGA adapter will not communicate properly the supported refresh rates through the analog interface of the VGA side, and your monitor thinks it's been set to a higher scanning frequency than it supports. The video output of the DeX is not supporting many modes. What about DVI? are you using that already with your pc?

Looks like my old Dell won't allow any higher and yes the DVI is used by PC.
Looks like a new monitor is required so the free DEX is not so free
When connecting in desktop mode to my TV LG full HD, I see icon too big but I'm not able to upload here the screenshot. I cannot find any possibility to change it into the settings.
Can anybody experienced same issue?
Thanks
Alessandro
I ran into that problem with a cheaper generic monitor and a cheap adapter. At first, I had the cheap XtremePro (generic from Amazon) and sometimes my monitior showed 480p, sometimes it was 1080p. It was weird, I had to plug it in the Samsung TV (1080p) and then go back to my monitor, it would correctly show as 1080p. When I changed the generic monitor to a Samsung, now it shows 1080p. But the adapter didn't allow me to plug it in and recharge my phone so I went out and bought a new adapter that does a great job.. recharges phone AND shows 1080p.

LG monitor, depends on the age, sometimes it doesn't read the phone very well or it could be the adapter itself. Upgrade the adapter to the one I recommended before changing the monitor.
Bought one and used it on Samsung curved monitor 28" everything is perfect 1080p signal.. Maybe as said it's the Adapter. Mine come with USB hdmi and USB c ports. Or maybe some configuration on TV ? Did u try on a monitor?
Mine I was able to charge and use the hdmi in the same time...
Today I made additional test. The result is that with 2 adapters, 2 TVs (Samsung and!LG) and 2 hdmi cables the resolution is always poor if I connect thru hdmi (icons are very big) with all combination adapter+cable+TV. But if I use a vga cable (one adapter has both ports), it works perfectly.
It seems a problem on p20 pro hdmi management.
Hi guys
I got a little big issue with dex and my TV, My TV is FHD , when I connect my S20 FE wirelessly to my TV and bring up dex, The output is FHD
But when I connect it uGreen Type-C to HDMI, Dex says that the monitor/tv resolution is not supported by dex, and the output is 1366x768.
I thought the cable has issue, and tested it on a samsung monitor, and works perfectly on FHD, so the cable is OK.
May anyone please help me with this issue ?!
check the settings on your TV, maybe there are different input settings for HDMI or one of your ports is different from the others. google your TV's model and the phrase HDMI resolution etc.

Hi , I did that all hdmi ports are FHD , and tested them with my laptop hdmi, all of them shows FHD. I think dex uses a special standard , that my tv cant support it.
Samsung DeX HDMI max resolution is only FullHD (1920x1080)
I’ve got Plugable UD-CAM dock and it works perfectly fine with my Dell Latitude 7480 laptop and USB, Ethernet and WQHD (2560 x 1440) Dell monitor. Pretty much the same is applicable to my Samsung Galaxy S9 with only 1 exception - HDMI resolutions above FullHD (i.e. 1920x1080) are grayed-out in...

Hi i was planing on using my phone as an Android TV Box for 4K movies, emulators, Android games and streaming from GeForce Now on my 4k Sony TV. Would be awsome to be able to use my old phone as an sort of Nvidia Shield.
I have an 4K 60hz USB-C to HDMI dongle but when i connect over HDMI i get the sharp "4K image" but with the phones aspect ratio and black bars, if i use DEX it uses the whole screen but only in 1080p.
Imagine a custom rom made to repurpose old phones into an entertainment hub og even a low end desktop with Android TV Launcher or a more desktop like launcher like DEX.
The S21 supports DisplayPort over USB-C up to 4K 60. Basically you can use a Type-C > HDMI adapter
Thats the problem, when I use a USB-C to HDMI the TV shows 4k resolution but with the phones aspect ratio so I get black bars.
I was hoping that it would be possible to disable the phones screen and only use external display and that way get the correct aspect ratio.
