[Q] HELP! I've a bricked i9001

Hi guys.
Im new with rooting and flashing so here is my story:
I rooted my phone, then i dit go to recovery mode. But without clockworkmod. Then I clicked update. And selected the .zip rom file. After installation, it did boot, then shut off, then boot, then shutoff endless. So I thought maybe I should install feamod now. So I did that via odin (I could go into download mode) And then I cant get to recovery mode anymore, now it is download mode, shut off, download mode, shut off. And than I thought maybe install a custom rom. So did I: Android 2.3.6, and when installed via odin: download mode, shut off. AGAIN!!!! WHAT CAN I DO PLS?!?!?

First calm down ! Then get into download mode dowload a firmware for your phone from samfirmware.com and flash it as onepackage file via odin. After it booted again make a factory reset and wipe dalvik cache, cache and wipe all data everything should be fine again.

one way to solve your problem is to flash a stock kernel but u will loose ur all data(if u dont have a backup)then root ur device and do ur thing

You have to flash a stock firmware (custom firmware as a odin package does the same), if Odin doesn't work correct for you, you should visit this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_Plus/GT-I9001

[Q] install N7000XXLSA end need to root.

I installed N7000XXLSA with ODIN.
with the use of this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018978
Now I lost root.
I tried install my old ROM to restore the root.
but stuck with the samsung logo it boots no further.:crying:
now I installed LSA back on it without root.
I've tried Philz v3.71
but I can not install wmc to get to the stock recovery mode and the zip file from my sd.
the ROM works well but I would like to control my cpu.
I'm new with it. Please help

Put the philz kernel (zip version) on external sd card and then boot into recovery and choose apply update from external storage.

I can only get into download mode.

How did you put the old rom? What rom was it and what kernel?

Get into download mode, flash a cwm recovery image using odin or heimdall, then flash a su*.zip using cwm.
And off u go.

I try to go back to N7000XXLPY from LSA
by placing it in the pdabox PCodin
end flash it
when it was fixed at the samung logo.
kernel? I think there is nothing changed

Personally, what i'd do is start all over again, Unroot then root back, flash kernel using mobile odin, then flash a rom ov your choice with the kernel that corresponds i guess.

is N7000XXLPY the last rom you flashed using odin? did the odin flash show green successful?

yes and it reboot when it was stuck at the samung logo.
from N7000XXLPY to N7000XXLSA and back to N7000XXLPY.

still no recovery mode ? if the usb cable is connected to phone remove it and try the recovery mode again (dont do any wipes),,, else you can push the Philz kernel for xxlpy through PC odin. (will increase counter and yellow triangle.) and boot into recovery

So if I understand correctly
i am still running on N7000XXLSA
I put PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSA-DBT-3.99.tar placing it in the pdabox PCodin
and flash it
and it increase counter and yellow triangle. it seems that nothing has changed it is not rooted.
must i now go to recovery? when i try, it goes to download mode

????? is the phone booting ? how do you know its not rooted?

is the phone booting: yes on LSA but no root
when i go back to old ROM N7000XXLPY when it was stuck at the samung logo.
now i am back on LSA but no root because i cant go back to N7000XXLPY

to root the XXLSA you need to download "PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSA-DBT-3.99.ZIP". place it in ext SD .. boot into recovery and install the file

but still cant boot into recovery only in download mode.
i dont have cwm

why cant you boot into recovery ? vol up+home+power

Hello, i have problem with phone.

So here's my problem: I get this picture where is phone and computer and in middle of em is warning triangle. PM ME TO GET THE PHOTO LINK. when i try to reboot phone after trying to install: [ROM][4.1.2][JZO54K] AOKP JellyBean Alpha 3 [29-12-2012]
i have gotten these done: Use CWM6 or TWRP.
For flashing with Odin: recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.2-ariesve.tar.md5 (Needs AriesVE.ops)
For using dd command to flash: recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.2-ariesve.zip
TWRP-Thread
Wipe Data/Factory Reset in Recovery (only needed when comming from Stock, ICS or CM10)
Flash AOKP
but cant get trough Flash the GApps Package (Addons Section), my odin just crashes on it.
I need hard reset or help to install that GApps Thanks in advance!!

I think that Gapps is flashed through recovery (install zip from sdcard) and not Odin as it is just a zip file and not a tar file.

cant get phone on, and cant get to recovery because of that error screen with phone -- warning triangle -- computer.. why

Try download mode volume down-home-power buttons at the same time if that doesn't work you are going to need a USB jig

have you tried flashing a stock rom to see if you can get any further?

OK 1. Try reinstalling drivers 2. Different USB make sure its a Samsung one 3. Use a 3 file .tar like darkyrom ressurection edition 4. Use a different computer. No.3 will be necessary for recovering your phone

Stuck on recovery

I am new to this phone.I was running stock 2'3'6 and rooted through semophore.I flashed a jb rom with fullwipe,but stuck on samsung screen.restore from nandroid back also not working.as some one said in this forum,I downloaded and copied mackay kernal to ext sdcard.now sdcard wont recognize by recovery.now I am stuck on recoveryany gurus can help me....

Can you get into download mode? If yes try flashing stock firmware via odin again and then flash the cf root kernel.

Flash Devil Kernel (the .tar file) in Download Mode via Odin and then when you see on the phone the Devil Logo, pull out the battery, place it back in and boot into recovery using the 3 button combo then you can wipe everything again and flash the rom you want from external sdcard or internal and the bootloop will be fixed

No OS, Cant install Roms, need help.

Hello,,
I have some problems getting my device to work.
I have a samsung galaxy s advance (i9070) with no OS installed on it.
I accidently wiped everything on it except for the recovery,
TWRP v2.2.1
When I try to install a .zip file using the install button I get a red failed sign and an error that says 'This package is for' and then my device.
Would anybody be so kind to help me fix this, I got no clue.

Are you using GB ? If you I suggest you go to download mode (vol down + menu + power) and install jelly bean firmware with Odin 3.
If not (or if you want to use GB) use Odin 1.85 an flash a gingerbread firmware.
