Hello, I have a trascend 16gb micro sd hc. Yesterday I put my phone with wifi on in my pocket which is pretty tight. Some minutes later I felt the phone was really hot so I took it out of my pocket and then it turned off by itself, as my battery was low. I plugged it in the charger and I noticed that it didnt recognize my sd. This sd is also unrecognizable in pc, while a 2gb micro sd was working on pc and phone as well. What can I do to take my data from the dead sd bacl?

Any time I plug my phone in now whether charging or to my computer when I unhooking it the SD cards aren't mounted. Even if I turn off storage from the not. Bar.
Any ideas?
Rooted, lagfix and market enabled. Pretty sure it started after root though..

I had that issue this morning, and I notice it happens more often with MicroUSB cables that don't fit cleanly all the way into the usb socket.
I turned on USB debugging mode and then it gave me the notification to mount the sd card.
I was able to browse my internal SD card until this morning. It may have been mounted at some point and the usb cable disconnected yesterday.
I have rebooted my phone several times. Rebooted my pc too. I tried switching the different usb connections methods.
I can see the external card and the motorola partition with the motohelper software from my computer.
From the phone itself I can see files on both sd cards, so it looks like my pc is not recognizing it anymore?
Maybe you put it in charge only mode and have to change it back to pc mode.

Having the same issue. Used to work, now zilch. Tried switching between charge only/mounting, restarting phone, checking device manager for an error, updating moto drivers.
It used to be that USB Debugging mode being on prevented the internal storage from mounting, but I have since turned it on/off and no luck still.
I can put it in PC mode, Windows Media Sync, or USB Mass Storage. From my computer I can see the external card and the motorola partition on the internal card containing the motohelper software.
I cannot see the internal phone storage where all the apps and pictures are stored.
i to have been having some isues with the sd and other things as well. not sure if its a rooted thing or just a bionic thing. i will try some different things in the morning. i would really like an sd flip flop .zip. it fixed alot of thing on the driod x2 .
For some reason my phone locked up on me today. It just shutdown and I was not able to restart it. It had a full charge. That's the first time for this phone. I reset the battery and it booted back up. When I got home I plugged it into my computer and I was able to see all partitions now.
I had previously shutdown the phone numerous times, but did not remove the battery until this afternoon.

Same here, any solutions to fix this? When I first got the Bionic I could see the internal storage also.
Try resetting the battery. I've done that a couple times since I got the phone.

That worked. Weird. Wonder if not doing a disconnect on the pc would cause this, usually I just unplug the phone.
I can see both just fine. One is called 'M' and the other is 'L'. USB Mass storage and they pop up. Windows 7.

What do you mean by resetting the battery? Just a pull, or wipe the stats?

It doesn't happen very often. I try to make sure that my usb connection is set to charge before I disconnect the phone from my computer.

This unfortunately didn't work for me. I've tried everything except for FXZing back to stock. It stopped working for me even before root/rom/etc...
I never just yanked it out, or improperly ejected it either. I'm really stumped and I'd like it back
Do you have CWM recovery and if so can you use the mounting options in there? I'm pretty sure there's a "mount USB storage" somewhere in the advanced menu or partitions or something.
I have the same issue with my bionic as well, i usually just pull the battery, restart the phone and switch it to USB Mass Storage click on "My Computer" icon and the internal and external show up (Windows 7), will this issue be addressed in the next update ? or is this a hardware issue ?
update : i connected my phone to my pc to check my internal storage, it wasn't there so i pulled the battery and restarted the phone, it worked fine, but then to check it again i switched to charge mode then back to usb mass and the internal wasn't there, looks like its only good for one try and then you have to pull the battery, sucks.

A few months ago was trying to flash a new ROM onto my NC when the battery died..yea stupid me forgot to charge it.
Now, whenever I plug it in, I get the charging screen but it doesn't go any farther usually...sometimes it'll go into recovery after charging for a little, but thats where my second issue comes in
My NC won't recognize any memory card I put in it. I put them in my computer with an adapter and its fine, I put it in another phne and its fine...I put it in my NC and get "can't mount /sdcard/"
Its done it with many sdcards, not just one specific one

Try making a new bootable CWM SD per item A10 in my NC tips thread linked in my signature. See if that boots. If it does, go to my NC emmc partition repair thread and run the partition repair zips.

Hi Guys:
I left my Xperia T under pillow (music and alarm [w/ vibration] played for straight 5 hours).
It overheated!
Now here's the problem:
Without a SIM card, the phone works perfectly.
But with a SIM card, it only works perfectly when it is plugged to a charger. Without a charger, the phone will work perfectly for like two minutes before suddenly powering off (looks like a short-circuit).
I tried with different SIM cards but same issue persists.
Guide me please.
Mine same problem... I couldn't use my phone if not connected to wall charger. Have you tried to use it connected to wall charger?
Yes, it works fine while connected to wall charger (with SIM or without SIM).

It might be a battery problem then.

The problem occurs only when a SIM card is present inside the phone.

Based on my experience with electronic devices, you might've fried something inside (thx, Captain Obvious ).
This might be stupid idea but it works sometimes - leave your phone turned off for some time. Don't use it, wait for about a week and then see if there's any improvement. Recently my Xperia X8 had a problem with SD cards - it was bootlooping without SD card inserted and it was working perfectly with SD card inserted. I got pissed off, took out the battery, threw this little urchin in the corner and totally forgot about it for about a month... after that the miracle happened, it works both with and without SD card inside \
But if your phone will be still malfunctioning, you might have to take it to the service center...

This can't help you... I tried all this things!
It leave it with the battery until it self-discharges completely, then charge it for 24 h. It's worth a try but I concur with the others about needing a new battery.
I had installed CM11 on my nook hd+ and it was working fine for about two weeks. Then while I was reading, the screen froze with lines on them and I had to do a forced shutdown. After that it wouldn't turn on. I tried all possible combinations of the buttons, left charging it overnight - no use. The only sign of life is when I connect the charger, the light glows green. If I press the power key for 8 seconds, it goes off and if I press the key again, it comes on. Also, when I connect it to my pc, the usb device found sound is heard, followed by 'usb device unrecognized' sound. This happens even if I connect to the pc after holding down the power key for 8 seconds. I'm out of warranty, so I openend it up, disconnected the battery and connected again. But no change. Please help guys. Is it something related to the ROM or is it a hardware defect?
Obviously if you had CM11 installed you first made a bootable CWM SD. Can you turn it on with that SD inserted? The device is designed to not turn on unless valid boot files exist either internal memory or on an SD.

No. I tried with and without SD card. Not happening. I'm pretty sure I once restarted the HD+ without SD card inserted, so boot files must be present in the internal memory.
Is it possible that there's something wrong with the battery? I plan to open the nook up again, remove the battery, plug in the charger and try switching it on. Apart from this, I think I've tried everything that this forum has mentioned in the posts.

I disconnected the battery, plugged in the charger. The led glowed red->amber->green->amber->green and stayed at green. I couldn't power it up. So I connected the battery again. This time, the led glows red, amber, green, amber, green and stays at green; instead of just green like in my previous post. I don't know what has changed in between. Does this strike you as the problem with the battery?
