I picked up an HTC One that turns out has had the bootloader relocked. Is there anything special I need to know or do to unlock it and root again? I've previously used qbking77's method of unlocking the bootloader. Thanks in advance for your help.

I tried rooting my HTC one with qbking77 video tutorial. Unlocked the bootloader but couldn't root upon many unsuccessful attempts. Eventually relocked the bootloader.now my phone is given me tampered and relocked and security warning. I can't even turn off the phone. Anytime I try to turn it off it goes to fastboot mode. Is there anyway I can have stock android back on my phone and get ota. My network is three in the UK

This thread. This topic. I'm not filled with hope.
What do you mean, "Anytime I try to turn it off it goes to fastboot mode"? Did you flash recovery.img? How did you mess up unlocking the bootloader it couldn't be easier.
Unlocked boot loader all right. It was the rooting which was the problem. I tried and tried and when I couldn't do it. I relocked the bootloader. The phon is working alright but sometimes when I want to turn the phone off especially when I am in meetings it just won't go off. It goes to fastboot mode

yes, you need either to unlock the bootloader via htcdev or s-off.. then you can flash a custom recovery and flash a superuser app..
edit: here's a guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618

Is your bootloader unlocked? Where did this recovery come from?

No the bootloader is LOCKED as I was told you could still flash recovery when it's locked. And the stock recovery is from Guru Reset Tool.

Ok.. then unlock bootloader, root the phone, flash stock recovery and lock bootloader using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477792, and then unroot.
Additionally, you can unlock bootloader, flash stock recovery, and then issue fastboot oem lock (this will give you RELOCKED) bootloader. No need to root/unroot..

My phone is s-off with unlocked bootloader. I was going to trade so I was in the process of restoring to stock, when my potential trader changed his mind. I relocked the bootloader. But am still s-off with custom recovery. Can I still flash roms with a locked bootloader, or do I have to unlock it again?

you can still flash roms, if you have your original code_bin you can reuse it, but it will wipe the phone when you unlock again
I was wondering if after using the unlock code on my phone, does that mean that the bootloader is no longer locked and that I can flash recovery? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
What do you mean by unlock code?

NO. Not the same, as stated above. The unlock code is for using any SIM card in that phone. The bootloader is totally different. Your bootloader is still locked. You will need to root the phone then install safestrap if you want custom ROM's.
