Baseband XXXX - None of the solutions are working - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Somehow flashing new modem messed up my phone. So i wiped modem partition (facepalm) to remove that modem and reinstall stock. I was running Maclaw's latest CM build. Now when i tried to flash modem either via cwm or via odin , they both show installation successfull but /modemfs is empty. Now i am thinking that partition layout got messed up.
Any ideas?
Thank You

If you havn't tried yet, here's a zipped mmcblk0p12.img (/modemfs)
Extract the img to your external sd and restore the whole block with
Code:
dd if=/storage/extSdCard/mmcblk0p12.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12

Search for ext4_unpacker here on XDA
It's a windows tool, which is able to extract files from .img files

Root Samsung galaxy mini 2 GT-S6500

Hello, I have a samsung galaxy mini 2 GT-S6500, and this is my first android phone. So this is my first rooting! I found on this forum a long thread (more than 11 pages) on rooting this phone and the GT-S6500D (what's the difference of that "D"?), but I have to admit that i couldn't understand everything!
Could someone give me a short and simple guide to root my GT-S6500 in the simpliest way?
And I wish this method to be 100% working, not to delete anything on the phone or the sim, and not to install other roms (official or custon) on my phone: I just want my phone (and all it has now), with root permissions.
Thanks a lot!
here see 2nd method noob friendly
The difference between the GT-S6500 and the GT-S6500D is probably the presence of NFC.
I think GT-S6500 supports NFC and GT-S6500D doesn´t.
Beside the method from mb-14, you could also take a look at squadzones method:

OK, thank you, BUT:
- what is recovery and why it is the one of s7500 and not 6500?
- is this method going to delete files, apps , messages or anything? Will my phone be exactly the same (obviously with dhe difference of ROOT permissions)?
- Is it 100% working and, most of all, SAFE?
And... Can I backup the whole ROM before I root the phone so that If something goes wrong...

You can't make a full backup of your rom (nandroid) before rooting. Rooting doesn't remove any files. If you follow the guide you should be fine.
It says s7500 becausr the cwm was ported from the s7500 it only says s7500, it works perfectly on our device

Ok, thank you!
The last thing before I try to root my phone: is there a method to unroot? Because rooting means that I loose all my warranty...

the only method i know for now is to use a usb jig but i dont know if it will work on mini 2
it is meant for sgs2 and works on some more devices,,,
I noticed that here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1768622) squadzone gives a CWM called Jena wich it is said to be the s6500 one. Is it better than the one in the "2nd noobfriendly method"? What's the difference? May I use squadzone's CWM with the "2nd noobfriendly method"?
Bin counter
If i flash original firmware on routed system "bin counter" will be erase?

Hi Alexander
nice that you help me
you will need atleast twrp 3.0 or ghiher from me.. and you need a external sdcard with atleast 4GB to store all this stuff
and last you need a pc with adb ^^
are you still in?
Sent from my Xperia T using XDA Free mobile app
so here is what you do... boot the device to twrp... connect it to pc and open adb ( if you dont have it install "minimal adb and fastboot" )
now check if adb is working...
adb devices
if it is ok then you now see one device in recovery
then do:
adb shell
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/external_sd/part1.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 of=/external_sd/part2.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4 of=/external_sd/part4.img
ok you see one number is always changing... we need this with following numbers:
1
2
4
5
6
7
10
11
14
15
partition 10 and 14 are a bit larger so the command may look like stuck but it isnt

Okay then. I tried. But there is a catch: because i am lucky enough to have bought a SH i9305 with 4.1.2, i have the 4.1.2 bootloader and the EFSv1 i believe. Bootloader version is i9305XXBMJ1, and the EFS, as i said before, is the old one, before the XXUEMK1 or the firmware that changed it.
