Leave it charging for a while and then try again
I leave it charging but always every 2 seconds the red light appears and i think that is wrong too,or?
Doesnt work with long charging.
Yes i cant go in recovery because of stock Rom.
If your phone is fully stock, this sounds like a hardware fault. But you might run the RUU for your device, if there is one.
Ahh now i See that the Display is coming out of the phone a little Bit i realised it since now. Seems like that the glue is Not working anymore. What can i Do?

I am stuck on the G1 boot screen. this is the same part, but I've tried home+power, camera+power, vol down+power, call+power and any other combination.
Only when I hold the action(mouse like button)+power I can see blue led is on
please help on that
Hmmm try plug the phone into the computer and keep trying different combinations until you get FASTBOOT USB in red at the top left of the g1 screen
I'm not exactly sure how to get into this but I know I've got into it a few times when it was plugged in
Please tell us if you get it

Well you bricked when it got stuck on the boot screen
If it got stuck that means you flashed the wrong spl/radio

You can get into fastboot mode by pressing POWER + CAMERA and plug in your phone with USB. I was so dumb enough that my brother almost cried when i not even soft-brickes his phone, after one friggin' year of research, i saw that i just need to flash another ROM. If that doesn't work, then I am sorry, your phone is bricked. If you can remember what radio/spl-combo you flashed, i can do more research.
Or do you even know what ROM you flashed????

Well there you have it, mostly, it has to reboot and get stuck on the splash screen, then it reboots into recovery. That may be the cause of your brick. Another problem is, that all those guides are not so exact at telling their readers what to do. Next time you're following a guide, just look at the maker of the thread if he's at least a senior member.
Hi,
I have a 1 month old HTC Vivid. It was running it on ICS 4.0.3 and it was rooted. Today, while I was working on it, it suddenly powered off and now it won't do anything. Like it doesn't display anything on the screen, doesn't get powered up and when I connect the charger, I can't even see the orange light. ITS TOTALLY F**KED UP!!!
Please Help!! Thanks!!
Can you boot into H-Boot?

I got the same problem. The phone did not work at all. It only flashed for a few seconds when I pressed the power button. I searched all the websites, but nothing worked. My solution is to send the phone to HTC to have it fix. They have a very good customer service.
With the charger plugged in, does the phone vibrate when the HOME, MENU, BACK, or SEARCH buttons are pressed?
Had a similar problem, for me HTC was the only solution, just say that it happened suddenly and dont mention anything about boot loader or roms.
Have you guys tried project UNBRICK yet? Search that on the forum here, as I can't post links yet.

This. AT&T replaced my no-power Vivid under the One Year Warranty.

Yes but it is a pain and takes several tries. I had this problem a few days ago and this was the only way I could get around it.
I HOPE YOU HAVE DATA BACKED UP! That's your responsibility and not mine. If this ruins your phone then tough. I will not be held responsible for a bricked phone...
First off, assuming the bootloader is UNLOCKED, install the ALL IN ONE tool on your computer (it actually runs from a folder and doesn't really install which is good)...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1498003
Open it, then...
Remove any bought protective case (it may mess with the buttons).
Unplug charger.
Remove battery.
Wait 5 minutes.
Reinstall battery.
Plug in USB cable from the computer.
Hold down the VOLUME DOWN button and then the POWER button.
It should boot into the bootloader. On the ALL IN ONE tool, flash recovery to CWM. Once complete, click on "Boot into Recovery".
If the phone does not boot into Recovery, flash recovery to WCX.
If the phone reboots into Recovery, you will want to do a factory reset, wipe cache, go to mounts and format them all. Then mount it as USB and copy/paste a ROM over and flash to that ROM. I like Virtuous Inquisition v4.0.2.1.
Good luck.

Worked perfect - had to pull the kernel out of the ROM I used and flash it with the tool but it worked perfectly...
Im betting your screen might be toast, happened to my wife's vivid, completely just up and died one day for no reason. I haven't rooted yet and this sort of stuff makes me leary to do it.

EDIT: I have stopped looking for these threads. The more I look, the more I find. If the above threads don't convince you that there is a serious issue with the vivid, then adding more of the same problem will no longer help.
I have added this thread to a growing list of similar threads. Please read the other threads and see if your issues seem familiar.
From what I understand... Don't let your battery run out on this phone. Some Vivids kill batteries.
Solution? None yet.
1. Buy a new battery once a couple of months-ish, until someone figures out why some Vivids are eating batteries. YMMV
*OR*
2. You might invest in a external charger and see if that can bring the "Vivid munched" battery back to life. YMMV
I vote to thread merge the above threads if this proves to be the issue.
so a weird error occured to me, for some reason my vivid just did a random shutdown, and it never boot up again, my mods are S-off , dark raider room , betta 13 kernel, the symptoms are that it doesn't go past the boot animation, and it doesnt boot into recovery either, when i try to boot into recovery it goes past the white htc screen for like 1.5 second and then it reboots. i think i can get it fixed.. but if anyone can give me some ideas and help.. i will gladly appreciated it.

yes i can,
If your having errors and issues , then is suggested relocking the bootloader and run the stockk ruu file and then start over , you won't lose s off or anything
The tool kit will make this process easy and have you back where you want to be in minutes.

I had installed the xposed module for the Android L navi bar. After I installed rebooted etc. I entered the apps UI and it instructed me to add an extra line to the build prop (qemu.hw.mainkeys = 0). So I went into a file explorer and tried to edit it; no dice, it wouldn't let me do a thing (Should have taken that as a sign right?!?). So I tried another app, but this time it allowed me to edit but not save. Meh, tough luck right? Not too soon afterwards I uninstalled the module and all that good stuff and rebooted because I have OCD like that. All that did was bring me to where I am now with a soft bricked (?) phone. I can turn the phone on, the "LG" screen shows but after that it's just black. All the while the front LED is flashing from green to blue like it's starting normally. I can get to the "volume key to end call etc" menu before it boots and I can even get to the Hard Reset screen and execute said hard reboot but that's not bringing my flex back to life either for some reason. If I can get into Download Mode I'll have a good chance of getting it up and running but that won't even work. I know it was a pain getting to Download Mode the last time I downgraded but now it seems impossible. I've tried the "shut down, hold volume up button and plug in USB" method and I've tried the "hold volume up and power button while plugged in method" the former being the one that worked for me in the past. I'm super flustered/tired and probably missed a few details so if anyone can help and needs more information, don't be afraid to ask/demand, any help is appreciated.
BTW I have done my fair share of searching and to no avail, I'm not afraid of research but I am afraid of you guys bashing me for not doing so. So just know I tried. These threads would be what I need but I can't utilize either until I get to Download Mode.

I tried that... maybe I did it wrong but all is well anyway, I used my jump to get the G3. If a moderator would close this thread, I'd appreciate it.
ok guys, so here's the story... it happen yesterday, as anyday i woke at the sound of my alarm(bodies-drowning pool)... now i wanna listen to the song while I write this; well, anyways... everything was fiiiiiiiiiiiiine, phone looked as good as always, got ready to school, then at chemistry class when i wanted to check the time... phones dead, first thought, battery dead right?... nope! a friend of mine got another golden , and nein... still not working with her battery, tried mine in her phone... it worked great; also forgot to say that it did not enter to recovery neither download mode, not even vibrates when the power button was pressed... so i think did my teacher bored 2 dead my phone?... ok ok, jokes apart... the problem is, after I discharge the phone reactive elements, it finally give me a glimpse of hope, it started, samsung letters with model number-breath away... waiting still-and again the ****ing letters, yeah it got into a bootloop, turns out is not the common ones... tried everything i can found on internet (first pages of google, search on xda... list goes on) nothing works... tried:
Using Odin(only download mode works)
flashing couple of bootloaders
flashing param+wipe
flashing param+wipe+stock rom
PD: if i try to enter to recovery mode, it shows TWRP image before the menu comes up, then goes to bootloop again.
PD2: Also when i hit power it shows the samsung letters with the return and menu blinking about 4-5 times, everytime I try to start the phone, then it goes to bootloop again... and so until it drains the battery.
PD3: Almost forgot, when i try to flash the stock rom, i get "movi_write card_status 2" and blk goes as far as 682k if it matters.
Willing to try anything all in the name of science of course ... if nothing happes im gonna tear it appart and salvaje everything my new rover may need a couple of thingies later on...
Little help will be appreciated
You can try conecting another USB cable on the back USB ports of the PC, also try to flash with an authentic stock firmware, you can get your exact phone firmware from Sammobile.com
Found a solution?

Have you tried flashing a fresh and perhaps newer version of TWRP?
What were the results of your attempts to flash the above? I understand that you still can't get it to boot to device or recovery modes, but does Odin report success?
Have you tried using fastboot to boot it into recovery mode? (You'll probably get the same TWRP bootloop, but worth a crack.)
---------- Post added at 06:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:54 PM ----------
...and have you tried re-rooting the phone using one of the one-touch applications (e.g. Kingoroot)? I don't know what state they need the phone to be in to work, but it might help in getting a usable ROM onto the phone if it works.
Disclaimer: I'm no expert - still haven't managed to get a working custom onto mine yet.
