That's upsetting, are there ANY devs left on this device?
To be fair, the device is over two years old, which is a lifetime in mobile devices. Personally, I've found Surdu's 4.0.25 overclock build to be the fastest and most stable. Unless there's some killer feature that you need in 4.3, I'd suggest giving that one a try.

Do you mean clean slim & fast? And yeah I was kinda hoping for opengl 3.0 as this is a gaming tablet for me
4.0.25/26 have some kernel bugs and thus so do any ROM based on them. The controls in Max Payne don't show up for example. The release notes for 4.0.28 mention the fix for what caused that.

OpenGL3.0 available only for new devices (like SGSIV, HTC One, Sony Tablet Z, Nexus 4 etc).

CyanogenMod just released CM10 STABLE for a lot of devices...Just in case anyone's interested, maybe there's a phone in this list that the files, with a few tweaks, could work on our Inc S...

It would be cool to finaly have a perfect AOSP rom! :fingers-crossed:

No Vivo isn't in the "Stable" list, last official CM version for Vivo is 7. something...
So yeah the reason i posted is for someone to try and use maybe HTC One's rom and see if it could be reworked for Inc S.
We already have CM10 build with us. But we have one huge roadblock, we don't have asop kernel to run this ROM.
I think this post should have been in general section and not in development section.

One S cannot simply be reworked to work with our phone. It has entirely different hardware. Not like it shares a processor or anything

I'd say most likely that is the case. You will have to be happy with what we have at moment with possibility of some improvements of currents roms and maybe 1-2 more new roms but I doubt any stable cm9 or 10 will be available.

Yup, looks like the last dying moments of our phone..... finally age has caught up with our phone ... (RIP)
Today one of my colleague brought his newly bought Samsung note 2..... my phone looks like so puny and outdated in front of his phone
After that I realized, whatever update we may get, it will not be very smooth as new phones in market are.....
Anyways whatever may happen,I still love my phone and would keep it with me whether we would get CM 9/10 , JB etc or not....
three cheers for HTC incredible S :good::good::good:

Here is a benchmark 1GHz Cortex A8 vs A9 vs Atom:

Cortex A9 is...better of course, but I think our Black will be "just" capable to run Ubuntu Phone OS.

well thanks for the offer but nah, it wasnt really a serious post.
i just look in here from time to time for a bit of nostalgia
i still smile when i see the "kaiser 3d drivers at last post"
i just reloaded Gingerbread and its running fine.
on the other hand, it does have a dedicated camera button, what about windows phone 7?

ICS should be possible though. It ran on the blueangel, and the kaiser is slightly faster.
Then again, android runs like **** on kaiser. Probably not a good idea to try anything newer than gingerbread....

The same reason the people who are using the leak!
I don't see why it would be that hard since most of the stuff we get comes from the i9300.
I have even seen a port from the i7105 for ours.
I would do it if I knew what I was doing.

Somebody with some spare time should try to port it with the guide that audism has written!
Im just wondering if s3 will not get air gesture features because of lack in RAM, will our i9305 get it? Because it has twice ram as i9300. Just asking.
I9300/I9305 are actually lacking some hardware compared to the S4 like the 2 infra-red sensors around the top speaker.

Well that's what I heard in the problem. I mean I see the devs making ports of all sorts but not this leak which would be so awesome if they could!

Porting a kernel is hard! That is probably why it haven't happend!
Hey, guys! I'm making this thread because I will continue to port roms, but only if it is requested. As you can see I've been on a porting spree but now I want you guys to let me know what rom to port (if any). My ports are solely made to provide the experience of a rom until the owner/dev team of that rom officially supports us. All requests that I post will now be permitted by the owner/s. If I am not allowed, i will let you know here.
So if there is a rom you would like ported, leave a comment and I (and perhaps xcoNjA) will do my best to bring it for you. Thanks guys - Michael
****The rom needs to have the same resolution as the S4 and also an arm7 processor...might be able to do it with an arm6 but yeah (so basically, any rom that works on a different S4 I can almost guarantee it can be ported****

Thanks again for all the ports. I think I'm less interested in new ports and more interested in the stability of the ones we already have, And don't get me wrong. They're running great already. At this point, if we're able to get 3g and 4g, along with mms working like a stock rom, then I will definitely use them as daily drivers.

Josh will never let that one fly.
I know this is asking a TON, but Firefox OS would be absolutely awesome to try on this phone. Mozilla has some documentation on how to build it, but I am not advanced enough quite yet.
Not really expecting data to work, of course. Just a proof of concept and actually trying it on phone software would be awesome.
Then again, I could be completely off base and it could be impossible to flash like you would an android ROM. Who knows.
