[Q] Laggy/Choppy BT CM10.1 - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
After installing CM10.1 on my GS3 mini (maclaw build) music sounds very choppy/laggy when streaming over bluetoot to my Sennheiser headphone or BT speakers. I have tried the following solutions unsuccessful:
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2184333
2. Fix A2DP bitrate (48000 -> 44100 in /system/etc/audio_policy.conf)
Nothing worked.... whilst perusing the threads I learned its a common problem but haven`t read solutions yet.
Thnx

There is currently no solution to this, i think this is caused by the slow BT transfer speed

Bluetooth audio issue with Alpine ex-10

I've searched and searched all threads, and while skipping has been an issue for many, it is not mine. As stated in the title, I am using my Tilt with an Alpine ex-10 car kit. Connects no problem, everything runs through fine... except the music is... slow. I have used Audio Manager, WMP, and Pocket Music all with the same results, so I know it isn't a music software issue. I deleted and re-established the BT pairing with no improvement. I tried using Kaiser Tweak thinking that one of the BT tweaks there would alleviate the problem... didn't.
It's almost like playing a 45 RPM single at 33-1/3 (for those of you who have actually seen vinyl).
I don't know if there is a bt stack issue I need to resolve or what. Once the BT connection is broken, audio runs at normal speed and pitch through the itty-bitty Tilt speaker. Just slows down through the Alpine.
Has anyone else had such an issue, and what is the solution? Your input is appreciated.
EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED... it was a BT Sample Rate tweak using Kaiser Tweak... was set at 48000, changed it to the default, it works just fine. Leaving this up just in case future generations find it informative. My luck I'll be the only fool who ever has this problem...
Thanks

[Q]&Discussion: Bluetooth headset again

Hey guys. Im having trouble with my plantronics explorer 390 bluetooth headset. I get the pairing ok, they both (headset and g1) recognize each other and when I call it says that its using/sending through the headset. Just that the sound still comes normally through the phone instead. The headset sounds like it starts the speaker in it, since low noise can be heard.
Tried putting restarting both bluetooth, headset and phone in all kinds of orders. Been googling and searching on xda plus in this biffmod thread, but all I find is how to get music through a mono headset and such. Otherwise unanswered questions.
This may be something just not working or already solved problem, but please share your help and info. Thanks!

Seems like a lot of people have asked and are having/have been having the same problem since the beginning. And no solution that worked for them all seems to have been found. I thought people with similar problems could also join in the discussion and share.
SO lets share our configs/roms and headset calling problems, and see if we can figure anything out. Thanks!

Choppy audio on bluetooth since 4.0.4

Hi all!
Since ICS i have choppy audio via bluetooth. I've tried from flashing different kernels/roms to fullwipes. It works on GB based roms (i've downgraded a couple of times to check).
The thing is... i like ICS and JB, but this issue is like a rock in my shoe
I bought this headphones in Deal Extreme. The headphones model is the t909s. These works on other phones, so this doesn't seem to be the problem.
Does anyone know something about it? someone has the same issue?
i am using a Jabra stree2 headset and on Stock ICS 4.0.4 and works very well.. no issue what so ever
I am having the same issue - Samsung Galaxy Note.
When I was on gingerbread 2.3, I had no issue with streaming audio via bluetooth - smooth and crisp.
When I updated to ICS 4.0.4 OTA, I noticed my bluetooth audio would lag and skip which caused the audio to be choppy
Things i have noted:
-Bluetooth audio: Skip/lag/choppy on certain tracks (i read from other forums that this is due to 320kb)
-Aux audio (bluetooth turned off): As good as it was on Gingerbread 2.3 - clear smooth audio
-Aux audio (bluetooth turned on, but not connected): Audio began to skip and was chopping even though it was plugged in directly. **INTERESTING**
So it would seem that turning on the bluetooth signal itself causes the audio to lag......
I am having the same issue....exactly d same prob i am facing...

CyanVivo 10.2 4.3 ROM- Bluetooth audio playback bug

Since I can't post directly to the ROM thread, thought I'd post here.
Installed the ROM and the ringtone audio fix. All is working swimmingly on the device.
Re-paired the phone to my JVC head unit in my car. When playing back audio via Bluetooth, any audio streams are playing back at what seems to be 1/2 the frequency, therefore the pitch is shifted upwards- basically a chipmunk effect. This is happening with ANY audio stream to the head unit- music, TTS output, google maps voice prompts, video playback.
I deleted and re-paired devices. Wiped Dalvik cache and the cache mount. Still the same problem.
Any ideas? Is this a generic cyanogenmod bug that crops up? No problems like this with CyanVivo 10.1 4.2.2.
Thanks!

It's caused by audio fix. You can replace audio.a2dp.default.so with the one from Stable #4 and you'll have correct audio playback back =)

A huge thanks to you both- I've done the replace, haven't tested it yet but hopefully this'll do it!
UPDATE - tested and working as normal after replacing the file mentioned by theQwertiest- thanks again!
Hello World
Hi, guys.
Saw this post about bluetooth in CyanVivo10.2.
I was using 10.1 with BT headset and everything was almost fine.
Then i decided to move to 10.2 stable 4 and when i tried to check BT headset i have found some extreme cracking noise when listening some audio. So i check my BT headset with other phones but all was fine with it. Trick with switching files doesn't work at all (even with 1.5x speed cracking noise is still present).
In order to find a solution i checked other versions of szezso's 10.2 (stable 4,5) and noticed that this "cracking noise" is not so noticeable in Troj80's version (stable 3) of this rom. The solution of this problem was found in CyanVivo X where this noise was absent. As i understand the trouble lies in A2DP and Bluetooth files.
Update:Checked VivoKat 4.4 for this noise in BT headset and I haven't found it there.
Maybe someone who are more skillful has some ideas of this trouble?
Question to Szezso:
Is it possible to insert files from CVX to CV10.2 and will it work ?

Bluetooth Headset issue

Hi XDA-community.
I've tried to find some solution but there is not so much information on this topic.
This issue is present only while using BT headset.
I've been using various versions of CM 10 - 11. And in some part of them (CM 10.1, 10.2) I've found some strange cracking noise in the background while i am using my BT headset. Different roms have different level of this noise. It can be clearly heard in CyanVivo 10.2. This thing shows up in video and audio. It makes listening to the music more or less unpleasant.
Is there anyone who has a similar issue or maybe knows how to solve this trouble ?
Maybe there's some way to combine 10.2 features with 10 bluetooth libs.
Currently there's no way to check CM 11, bluetooth headset is broken in a current stable build.
