Hello everyone. I recently got a replacement HTC One, and I am trying to flash CWM to it using the HTC One toolkit.
I've done this several times before, twice on the htc one in particular, but this time around it's not working out quite as well.
I've successfully unlocked the bootloader, used the toolkit to install CWM, tried entering Recovery through the toolkit and directly through bootloader. Every time I make an attempt it flashes the HTC One screen with "entering recovery" across the top for less than a second, then it boots as normal.
I've searched through the forums and could see that "fastboot erase cache" worked for many people. I've attempted this but it does not solve my problem.
Any help? Thanks!
Why don't you try to flash it manually?

I was also having issues with that...worked a few times then failed this last time I tried. I just downloaded ROM manager and installed CW recovery that way. good luck

Hello, I've recently rooted friends my Vivid using the Superguide.
For some reason I am unable to boot his device into CWM at all. I've tried reflashing the recovery through fastboot, tried booting into HBoot and restoring the stock PH39IMG.zip both with no success. As soon as I select the recovery option from hboot it shows the CWM screen for a split second, reboots, and immediately displays the HTC logo forever.
Im currently download the Holiday RUU for the vivid to try and fix it.
If anyone knows how to fix this please help!
Thanks

Hi everyone,
Semi-experienced guy here, played around with my old Aria lots but haven't really done much to the new Vivid besides unlocking the bootloader and installing CWM.
I ran the S-OFF program, worked like a charm. Then I flashed wcxrecovery, no problems there. Then I loaded the PH139 update file to prepare for an ICS custom ROM, and that loaded everything OK. I hit reboot, and now the phone will not go past the initial HTC boot screen. No loops, just stays on that screen. Neither ADB nor fastboot will recognize the phone.
So, how do I extricate myself from this situation?

Never mind, got myself out of panic mode and I'm booting up ICS now.
So i recently got my new HTC One and of course the first thing i did was try to root it. Got bootloader unlocked no problem but i messed up after that somehow. After i flashed the normal CWM my phone would not boot up anymore. It was stuck in recovery and i hdad no clue what to do. After that i somehow got some sort of ROM on it but WiFi, Camera, etc. were not working and i wanted to change that. to fix that i tried to find a stock ROM for my carrier (Vodafone Germany) and i tried to flash that. That didn't work and now my phone won't boot up at all. It just shows the HTC boot up screen
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Try the command fastboot erase cache
It might work....

yes i can access custom recovery and i tried to flash Android Revolution HD 12.0. I'm pretty sure i only flashed the boot.img so that's why camera, wifi, etc. don't work
xda-Developers,
I've been a long time lurker, I love what you guys do here! Now, I've come across a problem I can't fix on my own. So here we are .
I've got my Sprint HTC One unlocked and have successfully loaded the ClockworkMod recovery image onto the device. When I select Recovery from the Fastboot menu, the device reboots and I receive the "Entering Recovery..." splash screen. After a few seconds of this screen, the device shuts off.
I have the same problem when I attempt to do a factory reset.
I've attempted to get around this by loading previous versions of the ClockworkMod image, but none have worked so far.
Any assistance or thoughts would be appreciated!

Are you sure the recovery is correct for the sprint variant? Here you can get the latest CWM for sprint http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2238324
You can also try TWRP which is also more popular http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236620

Nice! So CWM was a failure, but using the .img file from TWRP's website has gotten me to where I need to be!
Thank you very much!
Hello all,
I've got a HTC One from my boss. He has rooted it with Android Revolution HD. However he gave it to me because of the problem below. I'm trying to get to recovery mode but it always goes to this menu. The phone was working few days ago and he says backup file was made yesterday. Still after turning it on it goes to this mode. Choosing recovery it blinks only a while saying entering recovery mode but finishes with the same.
Any idea how to solve it? I suppose it shall be unblocked again?
thanks
popoko
Did you try running fastboot erase cache from a pc then going into recovery. You will have to have the drivers installed if u don't already
