I have problems with not working ringtone profiles. They dosent work at all. When i want to change volume, I have to use side buttons. Its only way to switch volume. I have this problems on all official software versions.
and just what is it that you would you want your phone to do to have a working ringtone profile? you can assign a different ringtone to each contact, and a picture as well. if you can't specify the ringtone volume level for each contact it doesn't mean it is not working. it's just that phone software doesn't support that function, and i see no use for that since you can chose no ringtone at all for a desired contact. and what's wrong with using side buttons? you want on screen volume slider? is it really necessary?
I mean that when Im switching profiles (normal, vibrations or silent mode) nothing is changing and sound volume dosent change. I have to use side buttons to turn down volume, and some times it dosent work corretly (e-mail notifications are always loud)...
Next, I cant turn down email notifications... All ringtones are set down manualy but email notifications are loud and are driving me crazy at night...

This is happening constantly. Is this a known/common bug?
Any fixes available for it?
Are you using a bluetooth headset?
Happens to me after I make a Calender event/reminder.
Mine will do this on purpose when I am "busy" it will change profiles and use the vibrate instead of the ring. Do you have it set to do that?
Bill
That setting (switch to vibrate when "busy") is controlled in the HTC Today plug-in. It's the rightmost button on the plug-in's ringer panel -- when selected, the caption above the buttons will read "Sound: Automatic".
Is there any software that i configure a vibration time in my incoming calls?
mine is vibrating full time. when the xperia start the ringtone the vibration do not pause or stop till i answer the call
can someone help or suggest something?
In Sounds & Notifications you have the possibility to choose between ring only, vibrate only, ring and vibrate (it seems like you have chosen this setting) and the alternative of starting with vibration and ringing afterwards.
If this is not enough for you there is the possibility to adapt the sequence of the incoming call notification either in the registry (I don't know the keys though) or by using tweaking software such as SK Tools.
Thanks

Thank you! I did a long search about it and I found Vibro which is what i'm looking for
I found a program about it long long ago,but it not perfect
Does anyone think the default vibrate is a bit long?
I noticed you can create your own vibrate pattern (awesome feature), so I made a shorter one but it doesn't apply it!
Is that due to me being in vibrate mode only? But that doesn't make sense if so...
once you've created your pattern, make sure you recorded it (you are asked to give it a name for that).
then select it in the list of vibration patterns.

Yep, did that. It appears it only works for the ring tone and doesn't change the vibrate when in silent vibrate mode...
is it possible to disable the vibration when u switch into silence mode?
for example i have the normal mode activated and then press volume down until i hit "vibration mode" it vibrates - is it possible to disable that?
i a using llama to automatically switch into silence modes etc, i always thing i get a text message when i enter my work -.-
Please is possible disable vibrate when is delivered message or I touch list of applications on my launcher ? I donĀ“t like vibrate ... in setting is option for disable vibrate for ringtone but not for other. Do you have some idea ? Thanks
I never use vibrate
Hi
Can anyone confirm the following.
The notification and ringer volumes are linked. Now when I set the ringer volume to level 1 and choose a ringtone and notification in Settings->Sound, they both play at a soft volume. If I then receive a WhatsApp, Gmail, etc the notification is loud, a lot louder than when I selected in the settings. The ringer volume is still soft though.
I then tried to troubleshoot. If I increase the ringer volume, the ringer and notifications get louder as they should, except the notification get MORE louder. Its would seem that notification is honoring the volume level, but notifications have been amplified before being played. Even playing a sound via Lightflow or Tasker results in this extremely high volume.
Can anybody confirm this odd occurrence I am experiencing.
I have the same problem too.. Let's just hope that in the next update we will get a separate notification volume slider
yes, confirmed. This annoying bug is there from the very beginning.

OK, I found a pretty good work around.
I only use 3 notifications sounds, so I copied the three ogg files from my previous rooted phone onto my PC. You will likely need root access to copy from the Huawei, so you could probably just Google your notification sounds and download them.
I then downloaded Audacity from http://www.fosshub.com/Audacity.html so that I could lower the volume of the sound files. You can merely drag-drop the file into Audacity from Explorer, and it will open a wave representation. On the left of the wave is a -/+ slider where you can change the clip volume. I reduced my files by -20db, but you could choose you own negative value. I then saved the files. During the save process a dialog will come up where you can set some meta info like a title. I added -20 after the title so that when the phone lists the sounds, you will know which one is yours. I then copied them into the /notifications folder on my phone, or even add into draft gmail which you can then access on your phone and then save into /notifications. When you go to your app or settings to choose a notification sounds, you will see the original and the "new" sound in your list like below, hence why you need to add the -20 behind it.
Pixie Dust
Pixie Dust - 20
When you choose the default notification sound in settings, it will sound very soft. But when it actually plays for a notification, it will be close to the same ringer volume. It will also get louder when the ringer volume increases as well :good:
During call notification sound like wechat or wsp app still make sound very loud.very anoying n its hurt my ear.how can i fix this.so regret buying this phone so expensive but quality so dumb even my s5 can control n dont make sound during call
Volume Butler is an third party app that could help
For galaxy S10, do you have any problem with LINE messenger call not respecting the phone volume setting?
Set Volume Setting to Silent
Use another phone to call via LINE messenger
Expect the phone (s10) to be silent without any ringing sound
But the phone is ringing (which i think it use the call volume) and the call volume cannot be decrease to zero which is annoying right now
Not sure if it is because of S10 only or because of Android Pie itself.

Maybe it's the app itself. How you looked in settings at the app's notification settings.
I'm not familiar with LINE messenger but I assume it's a 3rd party app, then setting the ringtone sound setting may not affect it. Try seeing if it's coming through as media, notifications, or system. Screenshot attached for reference.

I tried this on my Galaxy S8+ (Android P). There is no problem. The app respect the phone voice setting properly. Silent or Vibrate.
I noticed 1 thing. When you call your S10 phone, (while it is ringing, do not pick it up) try to adjust your voice volume (press volume button). You cannot decrease voice volume to 0 on S10 but you can on S8+.

Thanks, I think it using the In-Call Volume. Not these volumes (Ringtone, Media, Notification, System) and the In-Call volume you cannot decrease it to 0 on S10.
