I was getting this problem all the time, workaround was to install a CPU/Battery diagnosis app and keep it running.
Constant polling of system data appears to keep the device from falling into this "coma".
Try this one, it monitors many aspects of the Android system but you only need to nominate a few to stay crash-free.
"Diagnosis - System Information" by darken, on Google Play.

Phone was not locked properly, typed by mistake, sorry.
It's a bug on stock firmware, just wait to 4.3 update rolls out and let's hope Sony has fixed that bug.
You could flash another rom and problem would dissapear. (Non stock-based)

Hi, i am using Xperia Z C6603. I'm currently on 10.1.1.A.1.253 rooted BL
I accidentally upgrade to the official 10.1.1.A.1.253 yesterday. So after reading around, i have manged to downgrade back to 434 using the flash tool beta 6.
Using NUT's method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282415, i managed to upgrade back to the latest 253 rooted.
I have also installed Docomo status bar http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2202383for the extra power widgets.
However, a problem arise. my NFC logo is missing when i tired to turn it on. Surprizing, i am still able to use my NFC (able to turn on and off and beam files). But i am hoping for some assistance on how i can get back the NFC logo as per in the stock.
Any kind souls. pls advise?

i think some roms don't have the nfc icon on it. the official uk rom has it..... but this worked for 10.1A.1.434 Icon is set to false in build.prop , but you need to root your phone to set it to true... dunno if it'll work but u can try
Downlaod "build prop editor" from play store.
Start it and search for "ro.nfc.icon.enable=false", change this to "ro.nfc.icon.enable=true" and save it -> grant it root access and it will reboot your phone.
Regards,
iCEQB
after updating to .253 firmware I have the NFC logo visible all the time but I want it to be gone just like it was on .434 firmware (NFC was working but the logo not visible, thus I saved space).
The problem is, I've read about what to change in build.prop but the line where I'm supposed to change something is entirely missing on my phone!
I'm really not sure if I should just add it into the file and then change it as I like? I'm afraid it might break NFC or result in a bootloop if I do so, since that line wasn't present before.
Copy "build.prop" from /system onto your computer and search for the #NFC part.
On stock it looks like this:
Code:
# NFC
ro.nfc.on.default=false
ro.nfc.se.sim.enable=true
ro.nfc.se.smx.enable=true
[B][COLOR="Red"]ro.nfc.icon.enable=false[/COLOR][/B]
ro.nfc.vendor.name=nxp
ro.nfc.limitation.camera=true
In case you realy don't have that line in there, you can of course add it.
Change it and copy it back into /system and overwrite the old one -> reboot your phone and you should be set
Regards,
iCEQB
I'm just wondering what the reason could be why that line is missing in the first place. See, I've read on another forum, where people had that line already on their phone, and they changed it and it resulted in a bootloop.
On the other hand, I doubt that it would have serious results because it's only a small icon. But I'm not sure.
NFC logo missing at status bar is due to DoCoMo v7 status bar, not stock.
Changing at build.prop no longer working now if you had install DoCoMo v7 status bar.

I have done as per your instructions. Mine is already at enable=true.
However i still proceed to save it allowing root access and reboot.
No Luck...... NFC icon still missing
Appreciate your help though:good:
Maybe the DoCoMo status bar has a bug?

Think so. Mine was fine, then installed v7 and it went. Build.prop is fine.

I followed Nuts guide in completeness and the NFC icon show perfectly for me. Did the NFC icon work for you on the .434 release you downgraded to? If you are running root now on you phone, delete the folder that has been discussed in various threads here.

When you flashed the new ROM did you get a message at the end that NFC firmware was being updated, if not that is most likely why.

I am now starting to believe the issue is more likely coming from DoCoMo status bar. I have also renamed the ufc folder to ufc1. Renaming it to ufc does not help either. In fact after I rename it back to ufc and reboot, I cannot even switch it off or on.
Renaming it back to ufc1, allows the nfc to work again.
Yup, I'm being prompt of the nfc upgrading message at the end of the process.

Ok, i'm sorry. Noob question:
Why is so important to have the NFC logo on the status bar, if NFC is normally working?

Hello xda users,
I think i know a method to solve the problem with "Invert" display on SXTX
Story:
Around 2-3 months ago when i bought my SXTX i started to flashing the phone with various ROMs till i tried the Sony Xperia T Rom on TX... i did smtg wrong and my phone's screen got invert 360 degree.
I tried to find a way to solve the problem, read the russian and english forums but nothing helped me. The phone was brand new with warranty so my last chance was the service center, thats why i accurately flashed back my phoe to all stock then send to market where i bought and i was lucky because they said that the phone is "Brack" therefore they send me a new phone!
After a long time, today im flashed my phone, root, cwm... then installed Xposed framework and i think i find a way to solve the previous problem with "Invert display".
How:
- You have SXTX!
1.You need to root the phone (SuperSU)... i know its a bit hard cause everything is invert but its possible (i did this a lot of times)
2. Install Xposed framework.
3. Go to Xposed framework, press Framework then install update. You need to get this:
4. Press reboot
5.Go again to Xposed, press Download and find "Gravity Box (JB)". Download it and install, then go back to main many of Xposed and press Modules and check the "Gravity Box", then go to Framework and reboot.
6. You have GravityBox. Start it from appdrawer and press "Display tweaks" and as you can see there is an option called "Allow all rotation" - check it!
7. The last step to rotate your phone in your hand to 360 degree!!! (Normal position)
I need testers! Hope there is no one!!!
My phone now have no this problem, no invert display so i cant test it, but im sure that it will work!!!
I can not test because I have a working Xperia T, but I doubt it would work.
The allow all rotations option allow the rotation to 180 degree (bloked by default). If your tx screen was inverted it looks like a gravity sensor problem.

no it is not sensor problem.... and i have fully working normal TX.... this problem ocure only on TX models...
This method allow all rotations.... if you test it on you phone you will get not just side rotation but upside down to.... i tried it today and i can use the phone upside down
Yes I know. I was trying to say exactly that (sorry for my poor english)
I thought the initial problem was a sensor problem. Whereas thank you for the information.

1.Flash any CM ROM
2.Add this line to build.prop
Code:

Yeah, i know this method! But for this you need to Unlock the bootloader... and this working only with CM ROMs, if you do this it is not mean that if you flash back the stock Sony ROM it will be good, but it still be invert!
Good method, but need UB so waranty gone! and only CM using!

Hi there!
I recently bought an Xperia SP and had it unlocked fully so now i can use any SIM.
But it seems that there is a problem: my phone is slow. I only have a handful of apps installed, nothing is programmed or working in the background or Sync is turned off.
I checked the OS and it is still stuck to Android 4.1.2 but the official Sony Mobile website says the latest is 4.3.
Is there an app to help speed up my phone?
Why is my phone not detecting the 4.3 update?
Please advice. Thanks.

Oh yess i'm confused :fingers-crossed: however before the upgrade it is another thing
Maybe just reflash the firmware and see if it gets better (4.1.2, as 4.3 has a big chance of bad RAM management)
It seems like there is also bad information dessimination by Sony Mobile by the looks of it.

Upgrade your XSP RAM to 2 GB
After I instaled this the phone works perfectly but the official sony camera app (any camera app in fact) doens't focus. When I press the camera button (physical or touch) it tries to focus but it never focus so it gets hang, but the phone works, and the camera continues showing everything, but it just never take the photo so I have to turn off the screen.
Thanks in advanced!!

I have exactly the same problem, haven't found a solution yet... So I'm running 4.3 at the moment. Lots of great ported mods from 4.4, so visually not a big difference. But I want the performance of Kitkat as well. There's a new firmware certified, so hopefully it fixes the issue. It's not Googles 4.4.2 that is the issue, I have tried Carbon rom and the camera works perfect with it. So Sony has messed up in some way.

This comes NOT from unlocking the bootloader!! A friend of mine had the same issue and he took the OTA to KitKat!!!
NO ROOT , NO unlocked bootloader !!!!
@TiRaNog Had this exact same issue, i'm guessing that when you upgraded you chose a stripped FTF?
I did the same and had an issue from the off.
What to do is to revert back to 534 (back up first) re-root and flash a recovery, then update to a 757 rom but instead of using a stripped FTF file use the full one for your region / model.
Reverting to 534 could make you lose your IMEI, but this will come back once you install 757.
Not sure why this happens but this fixed it for me so I'm guessing it's worth a try.

In my case was just that. I flashed my locked TA backup and the camera worked again!!
Thanks!
Try reverting back to .534 (with full wipe), then flash .757 again (full wipe again). If camera doesn't work, do it again. This worked for me.
No idea on why it worked, though. The flash process on this device appears to be less deterministic than a simple "dd" (as it was on older Samsungs), looks like it can have a different result each time.

Same here.. Had cam focus problem.. Exactly as said in opening post.. So i tried second last version, full wipe, and it worked, again after full wipe including internal storage, installed latest version of rom, and the prob is back again, then decided to check with ta restore( had taken a kk version of ta backup earlier) and after ta restore, tada, cam works again... So to be concluded, sony, as did earlier( remb the non working cam after unlock), messed up the cam again, and linked it with ta partion( u will get that focus value error aftet ta partion check( see in logcat for clearing urself) and the value is not passing properly, so cam hangs ( this is caused by a library,which supports cam, dont remb that name now,but u can get it in logcat, also may try a fix( i haven't tried it, becoz i just like to keep bootloader locked, to get the better cam), u need to copy the same binary from second last version of kitkat rom ,which had no such error, and replace.it with the one on current rom.

hi
I have a weird problem,my led color doesnt change as it changed before, for example when charging the phone the led color change from red to green i think, but now it's just red and when phone is charged by 90% the led turn's off!! I tested the led using light manager and red and blue and purple works but the others show wrong color. for green it shows nothing!
I dont know when this appeared exactly but I suspect two things one is that I unlocked my bootloader once and relock it with proper restoration using backup ta tool, my xreality and camera works perfecly.
the other is I had my screen replaced because I got a crack on it
thanks for your time
Do you try update to the latest 5.1 LP Stock Firmware and charging your phone again... What is the result?
The Light Manager can be bad coded, so that there maybe make some mistakes or he is not to 100% compatible.
I don't think that replace your screen can cause this problem.
The Screen doesn't in any why conflict with the LED.
