It's normal because the blue bars appear only when your device is connecting with google server or so I was told. Nothing to worry and your phone signal is still there not gone.

Hey guys,
I am currently using Roger's V20C flased with the KDZ method (so the correct basebands should have been installed).
However once in a while, my 4g icon and the signal bars will turn white and then there will be no more data transfer after that. Sometimes turning on then off the airplane mode fixes this. Sometimes it doesn't and I will need to reset.
Could someone tell me how I can fix this issue ?
Thanks,
d
You're doing the only fix there is. I have the same issue. Just keep an eye on it and airplane mode when you have to. I read someone downloaded an app called "activity?" where they set it to auto airplane mode every so often so as not to have to worry about it.

Im in your boat as well.
I have a very strange problem.
If i connect true wifi i can connect to google network (upper richt wifi signal color goes blue).
But if i turn of wifi and want to go true 3g the signal bar stays white, i see the send and receive icons go on but i can not surf the internet because it does not connect to the google network.
I entered the right APN settings, i restored an older ROM.
/edit is just did a full wipe + all caches + install other ROM, and i still cant get connection.
What else can i do ?
Is my phone broken ?
Which rom you are on?

Problem solved, seems my provider was the problem, 30 min. on the phone and some checking from their side and the problem is solved :good:
Okay so I need some help. Out of the box when you have wifi on you'll see the wifi signal strength indicator and Data strength indicator but the "LTE" icon will be hidden until wifi disconnects and mobile data is connected. I was trying out the setting "Aggressive Wifi/Cell Handover" and while it sounds good in theory it doesn't provide any noticable difference in real world use.
Anyone since having that turned on the LTE icon remains visible in the status bar even when connected and using WiFi. It's not the end of the world by any means but I'd like it to not be there as it wouldn't be before I tried out that particular setting. I've turned off the setting and restarted my phone a handful of times but the pesky LTE icon persists to remain visible at all times....
Does anyone know how I could get rid of it? I've tried everything and I've grown desperate now.
Thanks all.

Turn off Cellular Data always active/On. That might be turned on in that same developer menu list.

Hello,
I've used my Mi A2 around 2 weeks now and I'm really satisfied with the phone. However, I got some annoying issue about wifi. When the signal strength of wifi is not so strong (below -70 dbm), it tends to disconnect for around 10-20 sec and then reconnected again. This happened to me like 10 times since I got the phone. And wifi works perfectly without disconnections when the signal strength is strong enough.
Does anyone experience this issue? Or I got a defected device?
Thank you
Same here, sometimes it just disconnects ...

It is a normal stock android behavior, because android detects that signal of wi-fi is to low, and tries to switch automatically to GSM mobile data, or to another wi-fi if it is available in the area.
I don't have this happen but wifi signal is strong and also; gsm data is turned off.
That *may* help to turn that off possibly, as it obviously can't (now) switch to it?

Even if mobile network is off? Is there a way to change such behavior? I tried to find in the setting but what I just found is Aggressive WiFi to mobile handover, which was already turned off.

I think that it is called smart wifi, or wifi+ option in other types of android OS, and here it is just a automatic option in stock android i guess.
I don't mind it, because it will change my wifi router AP if it get stuck, and need an reboot, so it will automatically switch to another closest one that works.
You better think of some way to get a better signal then to turn off this function.
Try with aps like this on the link.

yes thats what i meant the wifi icon with the wierd 6 on top
but yes your probably right :good:
It might be wifi calling. I get a + sign above my wifi icon when it's turned on.
Your phone using wifi 6 protocol this is why you see that notification icon.
