[Q] Screen not responding to touch in TWRP 2.5 - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Hello. I installed the TWRP 2.5 to get s-off, and finally got inside it. Now I have a really big problem, as the TWRP doesn't let me click (touch) on the phone. In other words, the touch is not responding. I'm stucked in the lock screen of the TWRP that says "swipe to unlock". It doesn't let me restart the phone... any ideas to solve it? If only the battery was removable...:crying:
thanks.

Holding down the power button for about 30 seconds powers off the device. once the device is off you can hold the power button and volume down button to get back to the bootloader

yea that would happen to me too with 2.6.0.0. hitting the back button will let you unlock but it will then ask to swipe to unlock for anything else. try to start to hold power button at the lock screen hit the back button and unlock and see if it turns off after 30 seconds.

do you think if it goes out of battery, I would be able to charge it and then open bootloader or just normal OS?

yea when it runs out of battery and you let it charge a bit you should be able to turn it back on normally (as long as you have a working system) or to bootloader. i would recommend replacing the recovery first though

ok, thanks, that's what I wanted to know. Fortunately, I have a working operating system (as long as I know, because I have not preformed any wipe, just installed recovery...). Hope it works, anyway I'm gonna try adb reboot first..
Thank you.

[Q] Freeze and boot stocked

Hey, this is my first post, and i come with a big issue with my HTC One. It's work like a charm, until this evening.
I already flashed two ROM, ARHD 8, 8.1 and 9, without problem, but when i tried to flash 9.1, AROMA freeze. So, no whories, i juste reboot my phone with "adb reboot-bootloader" and did a "fastboot erase cache" and try again. AROMA freeze antoher time (without touching the screen), bad luck i can"t reboot with holding power button. So, again, "adb reboot" (without bootloader this time, it sliped my ming...) and there, it's stock at :
And holding power button don't work (i tried to hold him for 10 minutes...). I tried with adb or fastboot... device not found (logical).
I don't know what to do next, any idea ?
PS : sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand me ^_^
PPS : can't add a link to my photo of the bootscreen, but it's stucked.

you should be fine if the device powers on.
try this download all in one toolkit and erase cache then install custom recovery and boot to recovery and try to flash the rom again in the newly installed recovery

when you boot into bootloader you have to press the power button once. you will then see fastboot usb at the top of bootloader menu then run the commands. it should see your device after that
The thing is, i can't go in the bootloader
(if i try to hold on power + vol down, i have capacitive button who are blinking (normal) but i can hold them about 10 minutes, but nothing happen)

then you have to wait for it to die again then charge. after it charges for a while unplug it turn it on and boot to fastboot and do what i said before.
if your using a touch recovery and flashing a rom that uses aroma only use the hardware buttons(dont touch the screen at all). let it sit on the aroma start screen for at least 5secs. and charge your device enough so you can unplug before you start aroma

good. you shouldnt have a problem from here as long as you flashing a zip file thats proven to work for your device
It's possible to send a file from fastboot mode ?

[Q] HTC One stuck in boot loop, can't use recovery/

Hello, I've recently just got this phone off someone to fix for them. It's in the constant bootloop. I can get into the bootloader, which is locked and has S-ON. However, if I try to navigate down it restarts as soon as it highlights recovery. If I navigate up, it will open up the show barcode, and exit out of it and sometimes highlight the image crc and attempt to display it. It restarts however very soon after. This phone has not been rooted or has been flashed at all.
Stuck of ideas at the minute on what to do to fix this guys phone, I don't believe he has warrenty on it either .
Any help would much be appreciated! Want to try and get this fixed.

That's the first option i'm able to get to at the top, I press the power button to select it however it just resets the phone. I presume this isn't suppose to happen and the fastboot hasn't work?
Wait, sorry. If I press Vol Up, then Vol down again, it auto selects it. However, I can't select the options in the new menu.
Sorry again, it also doesn't seem to have a fastbootUSB mode? Unless it does that when it restarts?

Bugger. I'll mess with it a bit more in hopes of reviving it. Cheers for the help though
If "fastboot" turns to "fastbootUSB" you will probably be OK. Try entering RUU mode from fastboot with the command "fastboot oem rebootRUU" If you get this far you will just need to apply a full RUU image, which will reinstall everything, including the boot loader itself.

I can't seem to get to that, the phone restarts itself pretty much around 5-7 seconds being in the bootloader itself.
The only other reason i can imagine this happening is maybe because the battery is knackered.

Good point, the power button does seem a bit further in this one, than I have seen in other M7s. This may sound silly, but it clicks when I push it down, but have no idea how to properly bring it up.

unfortunately, i have no idea how to fix the button, but if your phone is behaving as if it's being continually pressed that would explain the reboots.
to verify, just enter bootloader, don't do anything (but be in a well lit environment), if it reboots again and again, then the power button is stuck.

Yep, I'll see about trying to fix the power button then. Here's hoping!
Also, sorry. I should've added in the op that it only turns on when it's plugged into something. If i unplugged it while it's on the htc screen or bootloader, it will stay on till it does the usual reset then stay off.
If the power button is clicking I doubt it is stuck.

When the Device restarts while you're on the HTC Boot Screen, do the LED Buttons down at the bottom flash up a couple of times prior to the reset? If so, that would be conclusive with the stuck Power Button as that is (afaik) the normal behavior for a reset by pressing and holding Power.

I've seemed to have someone fixed the phone now, it's getting into Android (after much stress trying to get it into it!). It does seem like it's the power button that is sticky, as it's locking the screen and constantly waking it up and bringing the power button menu up. Needless to say, i'm overjoyed that it's working. Now I need to find out how to fix the power button in it.

That might actually not be quite the easiest task. If anything else fails, why not try bringing it as close to stock und untempered as you can go and hand it in for a warranty repair. With a little bit of luck they will not check the software as it is obviously a hardware button defect.

You need to hold the Power button for an extended time even after the buttons flash.
What TWRP version did you flash?
What version of the OS do you have?
holding power and volume down will reboot to the bootloader.

[Q] Stuck at boot splash screen and will not reboot into recovery

Hello all,
I haven't touched my M7 in about 6 months but I figure it's time I try to fix it. Here are the following symptoms of my problem: it won't boot past the splash screen, it won't boot into recovery, and it doesn't like powering up unless it's plugged into a wall socket.
Is there any way I can RUU this or force it into fastboot or recovery?
press vol down + power button to enter bootloader and then choose fastboot
Sorry should have specified that I already tried that.

Sorry, seems I left out quite a bit. Was up late messing with it to see if I could get anything done and it was probably due to lack of sleep.
I believe it was after I had tried to RUU. Unforunately I don't remember with which .zip file, but I'm going to assume I didn't screw that up as I've had to RUU quite a few times and hadn't messed that up just yet.

Please help !! Htc one m7 stuck in boot loop *not rooted*

Hello,
can anyone help me. My HTC phone m7 just had a count down and then shutdown for it self. It then began to reboot over and over and it never gets pass the HTC logo.
I tried:
1. going into the splash screen, but i reboots even when i do that. It happens so quickly i can't select fastboot, factory reset or anything.
2. Holding it close to a bring light and hard reset.
3. Waiting for 48 hours.
4. leaving the battery to drained and then hard reset.
I can't remove the battery. and when ever i put the phone to charge it keeps rebooting over and over.

If it's in bootloader mode it should be fine. In order to run the .exe file your phone must be in bootloader mode. You managed togo into bootloader, so there should be no problem. If that .exe doesn't solve your issue, than it's safe to say it's a hardware issue
