[Q] Chrome "open link with" apps missing after update - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After updating to .244 a couple days ago, when I open links in chrome I do not get all of my "open with" selections, YouTube for example only asks for YouTube or Chrome, it used to also ask if I wanted to open the link with BSPlayer
Is there a way to manually populate that list? I've tried reinstalling the apps to no avail. I'm clueless on the subject

Enable more than one popup in the browser?

I recently found out that my company has enabled the web version of microsoft office communicator (Internal IM).
The problem is that it launches a popup for the main buddy window and a separate popup for each chat. (I enabled popups). I've verified that I can log in and see the buddy window perfectly, however when I try to open a chat the browser complains that only one popup window can be open at a time.
Is there a way to overcome/hack this limitation? I'm going to try other browsers now...(skyfire, opera etc)
thanks.
bump
I use a hosted app that requires the same (2 pop-up windows at a time)
Super old thread I know, but try xScope Browser in the market. That allowed me to open more than one popup in a certain site I was trying to access.

Browser homepage setting problem

I just noticed that the browser homepage setting does not work anymore. It keeps starting with google.com even if another homepage is set.
Deleted the defafult homepage in setting and input a new homepage but still loaded google.com.
Does this have to do with the GPS/Location? Is there a way to fix this?
Not sure if this relates to a file related to "Location" installed recently for using with the Google Map/GPS. Does anyone know if this relates to the google.com default home page on the browser? It'll get ignored if if another site is set as starting home page.
Does anyone know, is it possible to delete a system file to master reset. It was working before.
Also noticed that everytime when going back to the browser, it will open a new window re-loading to google.com, so if I go back to the browser 5 times, there will be 5 browser windows opened to google.com

Default apps not being set

I have a weird issue which I'm not sure if it's related to Nova launcher or something else.
While opening links from the email app (ie gmail) I am being asked to choose what to open the link with : browser, chrome, talpatalk, .. I chose one and select Always, but despite of that the same question will pop up next time and so on.
Any idea what's wrong?

[Q] Model SM-T520: Default Application/Launch by Default Reset

Howdy,
I have the Galaxy Tab Pro SM-T250.
I have downloaded a webpage to view off line (.htm)
When I click on the .htm file HanCom Office tried to open the file & failed. I turned off that program & cleared it's cache. The Launch by Default section had a grayed out Clear Default button for that program (as many of the online guides suggested I click the Clear Default button)
Under Default Applications for the entire device there is nothing under Clear Defaults
When I try to open the .htm file after stopping the HanCom Office application, I receive a pop up window which reads "Unable to find application to perform this action."
I do not have a box pop up asking for an application to open the file. If I did, I would have Firefox do it.
Thank you very much!
Actually most mobile browser are not set to open local HTML files (since it's an unusual behaviour on a mobile device). To solve your problem you should use a specific application from Google Play, like Offline browser.
Also, if you're using Android 4+, you can save web pages for offline navigation directly form the default browser, although you can open them just in the browser itself.

Chrome "Web Search" share menu option possible in apps ?

I really like the "Web search" share option in Chrome. (see attached) Can anyone think of a way to get that functionality in apps like Keep, Notepad, Kindle, etc ? All I can find is how to share text to a search in the Google app, but not how to highlight text in an app and share it to a Google search in the Chrome browser. (which is way more useful)
UPDATE: Dev kindly made a video tutorial.
