Trickster MOD - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Anyone have experience with this, and if so, what are the best settings for a long life and a good performance ???
Running the hybrid rom from peetr_ with doomkernel v7

try and see what works...
what works well with one chipset may not work well with another chipset.
what works well with the way I use my phone may not work well with the way you use your phone...
its all about trying and seeing what is best for you.

no it is not...each chipset is different within certain tolerances, stock roms stay within the tolernaces, if you want to go outside them, then each chip will act differently with the tolerances.

OK tnx

personally i like any smartmax/interactive governor, i found a lot of possitive opinions about them as good balance battery/performance and i can confirm it as far. As I/O control i prefer sio/cfq.

Touch Pro Overclocked - Overclocking the X1 - is it finally possible?

Anyone managed to find this software and give it a go?
The Touch Pro has finally been overclocked.......
Anyone care to try this on their X1?
http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/post/2009/09/06/Touch-Pro-running-at-800MHZ.aspx
does not work, forces the device to auto restart.
However, the creator is working hard to get one that works
Even if a X1 version is released, the only thing you might achieve is to fry your cpu and destroy the device years earlier than its expected lifetime.
How about Temp and Battery life, is it worthed ?
ok this OC tool worked for me today i had x1 at 768mhz and it was fast but then i started an program and the phone froze so.. there is still alot of work on that app..

Hi all.
I tried to install the neucontrol software but when I run the cab my xperia says that the program was uninstallable.
I was using a custom rom, the energy rom, standard version. I haven't tried installing it with a different rom.

As the same arguement for Pc overclocking, the lifespan of a cpu is many years beyond what you are likely to use it. I.e the phone could last for less than 5years for all I care, 2years in fact as Ill upgrade to xperia 2 so I might has well "fry" it and gain a faster smooth and more enjoyable experience in return for a shorter lifespan.

I prefer to keep my tech working even after I stop using it. After all, you never know when you might need a backup device. Different points of view about this, I guess.
I agree with orelsi..I'd like my device to be in good condition even though I won't be using it anymore...you never know, you might come up short on dough with your plans of buying the x2 or x3 and selling ur x1 might give some additional cash for u to finally buy that device...of course if it's fried, no one will buy it or u'll only be able to sell it dirt cheap, for parts or whatever

Indeed, this is very true
on my x1 freze quickly
somebody thought about downclocking the cpu? maybee some MHZ less could double the akku duration??!! =)
this would be mutch more interesting fo me instead overclocking this littel cpu xD

You would make the phone useless, for anything else than calling. I would prefer multitasking and good performance over battery any day.
waw it worked for me...
i install the tool and my phone way connected to pc with activesync and it ran at 800 mhz ,i was like (damn thats how the phone should run, smooth scroling in main menu ,benchmarked with sktools and got waw results ).
BUT when i took usb out of pc my x1 froze and i had to softreset.
and i couldnt run it again in my x1(now when i run it,it freeze or restart)
what a shame ,i hope the tool get stable so i can run x1 at 800.

I9000, Voodoo Vs Hardcore Kernel...

Which Kernel do you prefer for your I9000?!?
Pro's and Cons's, why do you prefer?
this is a quiz?

Debian
Ubuntu

i prefere SPEEDMOD KERNEL coz battery life is very good .VOODO KERNEL hve used it for long time battery draines very quick
Will be an interesting discussion, please proceed.
But hardcore will win this poll though, he puts out a lot more updates then SC.
I don't think voodoo does a great job, yet I never used speedmod... I use setirons cause of the high overclock.

I used Speedmod but without lagfix.. using lagfix with Speedmod, I experienced a lot of problem. EVERYTIME I disable lagfix it will always stuck. I'm using it coz of less battery drain.
But if I want to use lagfix i'll go to Voodoo. much more stable using lagfix.
I prefer the flames about gnome vs KDE, are much more funny.
really, in development??
speedmod +1
Why not Voodoo? because speedmod works for me... too lazy to move to Voodoo...
That's well said mate, we need try them & judge later

There is competition either way, whether or not we have this thread.
This thread might actually make them work even better. Dont see no problem in that.
From playing with both mods... they run at almost the same speed... voodoo might be a little bit faster...
Speedmod does have more configs tho... so i refuse to vote for just one.... i vote both! lol

We know very well both developers are working hard to improve their kernels. Hence, there is no need to have such a thread at all.
It is precisely everyone tastes are different, and more often than not, people will try to enforce their opinions on others, resulting in a hostile environment. It will degenerate into something that might even pisses the devs off, so to speak.
The best way of course is to try out what is being offered here, does it meet your own expectation or not.
Once you are happy with whatever you have, then stick with it, until perhaps something better comes along the way.
Don't you agree?

YES indeed I do....
I don't see how asking people's opinion on two products would cause a problem.
As far as pissing someone off, I think that when someone creates something that is made public, they should accept all comments on that product, good or bad. If they do not want to hear anything bad about their product, don't make it public.
Besides, constructive criticism is good for competition.

[Q] one more confused soul..Xperia T or TX

Hello friends,
I own a Xperia Arc S and would like to upgrade. But not shure whether to get Xperia T or TX
Xperia T have good ROM support over here whereas TX doesnt.
According to me TX looks better though.
I know the actualy difference between them but would like to know lil more from users.
So i need your help guys in deciding as it is a big investment and dont want to regret later in future.
I went through many threads but couldnt find my answers.
Any help is appreciated
Thank You
I got the T, and never once missed the removable battery, off not I really like non removable battery, it is a little bit bigger, and hard reboot is done with button combo.

Did I help? Then please press the thanks button
The real big selling point of T is it's LTE capability but provided your carrier also supports it. Otherwise just get the TX, it slightly looks better plus battery is removable.
Btw, the TX has the CyanogenMod support now also like the T.
Tapatalked from my TX
yea i was wondering about the hard reboot too..normal we just remove the battery to restart. But always wondered what non-removable battery mobile ppl do..
I have one more doubt. Cant we flash T ROM on TX just like we do in Arc forum. Arc S ROMs can be flashed on Arc with lil patch.
For ICS ROMS that is indeed possible, the patch isn't there (yet) for JB

So TX users haven't enjoyed the taste of sony JB yet?
There is a thread very similar to this already.
If I recall correctly, the only differences were the T has better rom support, LTE capability, and a bigger battery, while the TX has a removable (but less capacity) one.
yes i went through many threads but couldnt find my answer correctly.
Hope TX ROM support really picks up. Bad thing is that launch of xperia Z is around the corner and many ppl will go for that instead of xperia T or TX and this is surely hit TX development.

thanks for clearing that doubt..so frankly speaking for which device should i go for? I know it will be my decision in the end but I at a point where i can go for any device..so confused..
So ROM support wise =T
Design and look wise = TX?
battery wise = TX?
overall = ?!?!

Battery wise I would say T, since it has a bigger battery.
Design, in my opinion, T
Screen wise, tx does seem a little clearer, but only if you have touch firmware B
Rom support, definitely T
Overall: T

as of now only T and TX are available..
Its really sad how Sony are slow to launch a product in India even when they know India is one of the biggest and important market.

Any Performance Differences between Generic or Branded Firmware?

Any one notice any performance differences between the 2?
I know updates will prob come faster on the Generic though, But was wondering if anyone noticed that branded is faster than generic or vice versa?
Nope, in theory generic should be ever so slightly better performing due to lack of bloatware

i beleave carrier firmware are good for performance as it has alot more b/ware init, that need the extra push, iav tested this myself and found that if i removed all the b/ware form a carrier ftf, my device was and is super fast, as in 33000 plus you get form a non carrier ftf, now i get 36000 plus on my device, but you need to test yourself for the best ftf for you, hope this helps, and i know peeps out there are going to say i am wrong but you'll see when you have tested yourself, regards joe,

Well, devs need users and testers for feedback, testing, development, ideas and more
You (talking generally here) want something - you need to get off your high chair and either show some initiative and work toward a common goal
or keep whining and pretend to be entitled to judge and have an opinion of others that you virtually know nothing about - well great, but that does change exactly nothing (and causes abound frustration to become even more)
Or do you expect that miraculously out of nowhere without any work of preparation, thought and development - there pops out a ROM and is immediately 100% fully usable
Thanks to @moonbutt74 and his tester(s) for getting this in a close to daily driver material state,
There appears to be issues with microSD (external storage) detection on Ivy (Z4/Z3+) SINGLE Sim compared to Sumire (Z5) SINGLE Sim,
so that currently doesn't work
I don´t think the Z3+ is a bad phone in any way. I think Sony screwed up the release and promotion of it alot when they named it Z3+ instead of Z4 (like in Japan). They also very quickly released the Z5 which didn´t have the heat issue.
I come from a long line of phones with great community developed ROMS (HTC Desire, HTC Desire HD, Samsung S4, Moto X) and I have every confidence that this phone could be great too if the devs got all the files and info they needed.
