[Q] Very small fonts on apps -SOLVED - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, I cannot understand why, but since a few days (perhaps after installing new Android Revolution), I have very, very small fonts.
Here is an example taken with "CID Getter".
Same thing with other apps.
Any help is appreciated.

I'm stock and have only this on a couple of apps that don't support 1080p properly. They were updated and now looks as expected.
Check if you have some option in settings for fonts or something. As it is a custom ROM, perhaps the dev implemented something like that.

No, nothing
I do notunderstand... can tou post a screenshot of CID Getter?
It's a very small app.
I do not know if the problem is only on my phone or on the app itself.

For this, you need to get in touch with the developer and see if he has any suggestions. When it comes to custom roms, the source is always the best place to start. Have you tried adjusting them through your settings?

Note that Android Revolution is a stock rom with some improvements, but the core is stock.
I was wondering if any of you has installed cid getter on his phone and could verify if the screen is like mine to understand if it is only a problem of mine.
I do not have any setting different than a stock, so I cannot adjust font size in my apps

I had xposed framework.
Removed and now everything is ok.

[Official] LANIGHT for Captivate Q&A

I decided to create a new thread solely for Q/A and for people who are exeriencing issues running LANIGHT. Many issues can be solved by flashing different kernel/patch/fix/modem or going back to stock.
Try flashing DarkyRom RE: http://www.darkyrom.com/index.php?th...aptivate.6062/ (Captivate guide)
Then flash JB on it with proper instructions.
When an application crashes I get the option to close it or report the crash. When I click to report the crash it then says that the Play Store crashed. Is there a fix for this?
Still have ringtone issue
I installed 6.5 dd and all went well, but I still have the disappearing ringtone issue. Tried the fix and didn't work. I came from 4.2 dd. Any comments on how to try to fix this? This ROM is great.

Did you try flashing semaphore or flashing the rom with a complete wipe? People reported flashing the different kernel sometimes fixes it... Not sure if it's kernel related which is highly unlikely.
I ran the rom with no issues. I remember it was an issues back in 4.2DD but it was gone when i applied the fix... Not everyone that flashed reported that issue maybe that's why i never got serious about it.
Lockscreen wallpaper image?
is there a way to set a different wallpaper image to the lockscreen?
I can't seem to find this option in the Lanigh 6.5 rom.

Same here, but I have to confess that I made a dirty flash wiping dalvik cache only. I'll try to make a full wipe to see what happens.

I followed instructions from the OP, full wipe 3 times...format individual system/data/datadata/cache/dalvik. Haven't tried semaphore, I like devil ever since team nyx's 4.0.3. With this ROM I have never had wifi issues, since v1. Besides the disappearing ringtones, gallery pictures also disappear just leaving online pics...no FC though. I use quikpic so no biggie.

No luck. Actually it it's worse, since before flashing I had access to standard ringtones, those that come with the ROM, but not those which I created by myself. After flashing, all ringtones disappeared. Tried with the ringtones patch, but also no luck.
Next step, it's to find semaphore and flash new kernel. Any clue where I can download it?
Another repeating issue that occurs to me is the FC in the messages app.
EDIT: I've foud Semaphore and flashed it with Odin. I couldn't check if it solved the ringtone issue, since after apply this kernel, I had two severe issues: my screen rotated 90° to the right and the external-sd was not recognized. I've cleared cache, dalvik, fixed permissions and no luck.
Going back to 4.2 by now.

Loving the ROM so far. Finally decided that I don't need most of the customization options offered by other JB roms. however, I do miss the battery percentage. Any way to enable that, maybe through a theme or app?
EDIT: sneaky ba$terds, hiding it in the display options.... Looks awesome now. Found a new fav daily driver!
I installed new devil kernes 1.7.4VC and did not loose sound as others are posting. I wiped cache / dalvik & reboot recovery.
P.S. version 1.7.5 fixes the sound accourding the kernel thread.

In a week ive took a Captivate i897 from stock froyo 2.2 to cwmR to Devil kernel 1.6.1 <- which I really like. I first installed CM10 and was satisfied but got to reading around and flashed LAnight 6.5 DD last night (the proper way explained on thread). only played with it for a few hours and loved its speed. But today ran into problem with changing lock screen background image to custom image.
** is there a permanent fix for this, i dont always have my pc with me.
--Also noticed in both CM10 and LAnight 6.5DD, I can only turn on Bluetooth, is there a way to configure it like settings menu in stock froyo .?.
*edit, figured it out, long press WiFi or Bluetooth opens sub menu for settings, DuH. Im a Android Newb.

You don't need to download Devil kernel manager if you don't want to. It's somewhere in the settings (different Lanight versions have it hidden in different places...).
Probably, under settings -> developer options
Or settings -> extras
Or settings -> tvout
Or there's a galaxy s app...
Maybe there are more places I hid it in different versions lol I had to move things and its as unorganized as my rom thread :/

Very weird problem when on lanlight (or any JB rom)
I installed V6.5DD using the exact method you wrote on the OP. I was coming from CM9, it booted up correctly and everything works great except three things: 1) i have no lock screen (it is checked) 2) I don't get any notifications, whatsoever(i can pull it down, but i hear an email or sms come in and nothing appears) 3) when i hold the home button the recent apps don't show.
I formatted everything again and re flashed, same exact problem.
What should i do? everything worked well on cm9
please help if you can.
I installed different JB roms and none worked.
I decided to go back to CM9, and guess what? none of those thing i outlined works.
It looks i have to odin back to stock. Can anyone please help me
sincerely,

I see it has been unanswered, so to make it short: Yes.
As for the longer answer, I've tried it with tonyp's CM10.2 and it works flawlessly. Deleted because I don't need it. All in all, it should work on any 4.0+ rom, including 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3. And there's an experimental version for 2.3. Knock yourself out, just remember: always do a nandroid backup.

Explain what exactly happened and what ROM you're currently on. As for me, all I did was:
- Install Xposed
- Install framework
- Reboot
- Install GravityBox
- Enable GravityBox
- Reboot
- Change stuff.

I know, that's the thing about Xposed. It is meant to be used with AOSP/Stock Roms. Cyanogenmod has SOME features built in in its settings, but not all. There's the conflict. And all those modules and stuff is why I uninstalled Xposed from CM. I mean, I'm really better off with stock-looking android while having all functions working than changing stuff like that. If we had an AOSP rom based on android 4.2/4.1 I would gladly use Xposed. Other than that, I hope I helped, hit thanks if yes and use a condom I mean, always make a backup

[Q] overclocking and interface editing exhibit T599n?[supernoob]

I used rom toolbox but it wouldn't change my boot. And all overclocking apps cqn only underclock it. Does anyone know if it cqn be overclocked? And how to change the boot animation? I already improved space using gl to sd, but I haven't found any forums on overclocking qnd and boot animation. Please help this noob. And thank you
You can use Boot Box (look it up on Google Play) to change your boot animation. To overclock your CPU, you're going to need a supported kernel, which isn't available at the moment. Overclocking won't be possible on your device unless someone releases a kernel which supports it.
By the way, you have posted this thread in the wrong forum section.

Congrats on the new rom Mega. I haven't flashed it yet. But, I'm 99.99999999% sure you won't be able to get permissive mode on stock kernel. I've tried odined COD6 stock and a COD6 custom rom (both with stock kernel) and permissive was unobtainable. I then installed Bioshock 3.6 kernel on the custom rom and permissive is enabled by default. So, I'm sure it is a stock kernel issue. I strongly prefer using a stock kernel. So, I am hoping there is some other workaround to permissive mode. I can live without WLD (which needs permissive mode). But, I really really like Viper (which also requires permissive mode to work right.

YES me too!! I really love using kitkat from you ! I am hoping and hoping that once this whole permissive mode is solved, I can get back to using Viper. Without viper, I feel like I am missing something on my phone. Thank you again for your hard work , dedication, and love for andriod!

If your home button is mechanically defective you can use a launcher
like Go Launcher or most any other launcher which has the option to
simulate the home button with swiping or double tapping the screen.
Most all the launchers like apex/go/adw and many others have the option.
Good luck!

Yeah. One reason I flashed it was because I take a ton of pictures. If anything helps take them better I try it. Says in the op that it was an overhauled camera. So I definitely wanted it. But if there is a difference I can't really notice it. Unless I'm using the wrong settings

You must decide if you want to use Google IncallUI or Samsung InCallUI. Samsung InCallUI will allow too still receive and switch to video calls and the google IncallUI will only support HD calling. To switch to google IncallUI goto settings/applications click on default applications choose calling app and click on the blue phone app. To switch back to samsung IncallUI is a little more complicated. You will need an app like root explorer and goto data/system/users/0 and then findthe setting_secure.xml and delete and then restart phone. This will restore samsung IncallUI as default
You will also want to turn edge features off since everthing is deleted
Also you need to goto SuperSU app and goto settings and click on enable su during boot and also click trust system users
Goto this thread and under Recommended Next Steps find the S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_V15.zip or latest version and flash to fix kernel lage and doze fix.
Goto setting/about phone
Click on build number 5 times to enable developer options
Change animation and duration scales to .05 this will speed up phone
You will also have to change charging/file mode from within developer options
Remember Wiping Dalvik cache will cause phone to take up to 10 min to boot on deodexed roms
If using samsung IncallUI here is a fix for call phone FC and also location service fix

I didnt mean for my reply to come across rude. I just thought since the OP looks like the other one you thought it was the same. This is basically nothing but a bootable rom with like 5 apps installed thats it there are over 180 running apps removed. I kind of thought it would be cool to be able to build your rom how ever you want it without having to worry about what you can delete and what you cannot. I appreciate the support especially on new development. Understand I have many threads and and other devices so i sometimes keep my answers short and direct especially when using the mobile app which I hate using.

I appreciate the support especially on new development. Understand I have many threads and and other devices so i sometimes keep my answers short and direct especially when using the mobile app which I hate using.

I didnt mean for my reply to come across rude. I just thought since the OP looks like the other one you thought it was the same. Ok, that is what I thought. I just was trying to determine if there was anything else major missing from that other ROM, knowing some apps would have to be pulled or installed, hence your "Playstore" moniker for this ROM. Ok, this is a good clean base ROM for those who like to order "a la carte" down the road when the need for other features are required. I may give it a spin for the fun of it.
Cool! We are good.
sweet idea
Inb4 crazy high battery stats
Just finished flashing about 4 minutes ago. Still suck on the white SAMSUNG logo. Is this normal?
UPDATE: Took like 8 minutes to boot. Runs fine.
Downloading now. Been waiting for something like this. Cheers.

I'm using the Google incall with no issues at all. Probably no need to flash if that's what you're using.
So far the ROM is nearly perfect.
Having some MMS issues again. It only works when Wifi is turned off or not connected to a network.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I even flashed your fix it ZIP.
Hey I'm considering installing this ROM because I live the minimalism of it. How's the performance? Anyone mind posting an AnTuTu score?

I actually found one of the battery saver apps to be causing the issue. I think it was amplify through xposed, it caused the mobile data to turn off when connected to wifi. So, i turned it off and haven't had an issue since.
