Hi,
I have installed custom Rom rxtreme and custom cwm. Some days ago I had left my screen on over night. The next day the colours of the display fadet. I switched of the screen, tried a reboot. After this the display didn´t show anything at all, it only glows in a purple colour. I can use the phone with my hdmi-dock, but can´t use hdmi with cwm. How can i recover my original rom when i can´t see anything on the screen? I want to restore the original rom, wich i have on sd-card.
Hi !screen is total black also in recovery?you can try to flash the original rom with odin :good:

HOW with no screen to see .
OP you will need to boot to recovery and restore nandroid >> no screen will require judgement of the correct key stokes .
But download mode would be easier as its the standard three buttons followed by vol up once .

Hi, thanks for your responses. I finally managed to go back to stock with Samsung Galaxy S3 unified toolkit

I'm new to the Galaxy Tab, but I have a rooted and rom'd DroidX as well, so I'm not a total noob! I just installed the Overcome 2.0.0 rom last night. I followed the instructions exactly, I updated to the GB stock safe file, and then to the overcome rom through cwm. Everything works just fine with the tab as far as powering on, apps, etc.
However if I let the screen shut off and go black (sleep) for more than about 3 seconds, I can't get it to turn back on without holding the power button down and forcing it to reboot. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
EDIT.....restored stock GB through cwm, and reflashed = fixed.
1st of all , can add something to [Q] ???
second . maybe you do something wrong ? how you restore your backups ? did you try to re-flash again ?

Yeah, sorry about that, I was in a rush.
I didn't come from a backup. I flashed the stock GB through odin, then the Overcome through cwm. I didn't have any apps to restore, because I literally just got the tab.
Hi all!
I tried using ROM Toolbox's Font Installer function to change the fonts on my phone. Currently it's stuck in a bootloop - turns on, shows Sony and Xperia logos and just repeats from there. I can't seem to start my phone into recovery mode, sadly, or maybe I'm doing it wrong?
Knowing that it's only the font change that caused this is it possible to flash JUST the stock font files from my computer to rectify the problem (using Flashtool or similar), or am I looking at having to flash stock rom and re-root and then restore the TWRP recovery I have?
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Good question. I don't know, hope a dev or somewhere can tell it us.
Do you did a Nand backup?
If yes you can flash stock again and restore it..

Screen goes on, vibrates once, boot animation up till Xperia Logo. Tried both, if I connect it to my laptop while pressing vol up the LED turns blue (fastboot) but vol down does nothing.

Black screen for a few seconds then it just reboots again.
Pimp my rom and rom toolbox will do this if not careful.
If you happened to (or in the future) make a backup with the program, itll make an "undo changes" rescue file for you. So you can restore settings easily without restoring a full nandroid.
Nevermind, itz a Pimp my rom feature only, but will restore many changes made by toolbox as well. I can confirm with toolbox that the fonts and themechooser, and sometimes icon changer kill my phone, but the boot animations work beautifully, especially the "tablet" ones.
Also if you cant get to recovery check out http://www.modaco.com/topic/299479-howto-performing-a-nandroid-restore-manually-using-adb/
Hi, I had this exact same problem after changing the font using RomToolbox on my Xperia Z (USA T-mobile Branded, Rooted, Stock)
causing a bootloop. To resolve this is luckily very easy.
1) Download the stock ROM FTF file available here on the forum for the version your currently running (this happened to me on 4.1.2)
2) Download, Install and Launch Flashtool, then boot the phone into Flashmode by holding the Volume UP + Power until the device vibrates 3 times. Plug in USB cable to computer, than into phone WHILE press and HOLD Volume Down. Flashtool will tell you that your in flashmode which means your good to go!
3) FlashTool should be launched already, select the stock firmware - and Flashmode - then just do the following.
UNCHECK everything EXCEPT: "System" and "Reset Customizations". This will restore the SYSTEM partition and reset whatever customizations you may have had (INCLUDING ROOT) but now you will upon completion of just flashing the system partition reboot into your normal lock screen with all of your data, apps, settings etc intact. You will have to re-root using the tool for 4.1.2 or if your on 4.2.2 I used the KINGO root even though - it's supposively suspicious it works on the t-mobile stock 4.2.2. firmware with no issues.

Thank you so much! I had no idea you could do that, and unfortunately I've already wiped my data because I flashed the stock firmware, then restored a recovery image. Will keep this in mind for next time (in case something like this happens again).

If you have a backup of stock ROM, it's worthless if s5570i is the same in that regard as the s5570. Just wipe data, since your can go to recovery.
And no, you didn't flash android 4.4, just a 2.3.7 themed to look like 4.4
i have gt-s5570i and backup from my phone not s5570i but thing is i cant go into recovery when i press home+power+and vol up and grey screen appears all the time ...
Do you still have download mode?
Sent because I <3 Aerith
Kies
If u have kies on your computer then try the emergency firmware recovery. U might loose your contacts messages, etc . This is a 50-50 chance
i have download mode if it is what i think it is but i tryed that and nothing happened. Ill try later with kies ... but i doubt itll work

Recovery is power+home on s5570. I assume you don't need vol up on the s5570i either. So just try power+home before download mode and flashing something else.
but thing is i cant get into download mode

Hi everyone here
I have Samsung galaxy S3 mini which i bought about a year back from another country , and i am having an un explainable problem with my device
The device gets restarted by itself in a short span of time ,and if i switch it of or restart , the device goes back to an earlier stage .(ie into a state how it was 2 months back ,including all the settings, wallpaper, call log ,messages etc) i tried doing Factory reset and failed as the device restarts when i press the factory reset tab..
I also tried Data Wipe through recovery mode and it didn't work either ..
i tried Data wipe + clean catch and doesn't work Also there is a notice in android recovery, which states:
did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/csc/feature.xml' (no data available)
tried installing Stock ROM via odin and many custom roms ..nothing works
as of now , my phone is un usable
please any help would be appreciated (dont ask me about the warranty as its purchased from outside and its been a year now , taking to the Samsung service center here was too dumb , as even they have no idea about this bug )

as it seems that your csc code is wrong.
search for a ROM that supports your country or flash carbon11 or cm11 (but no guarranty)
m.
Maybe it's a fake

hello man , could u please tell us if u solve ur problem ? if YES , how ? Thank u in Advance.
Help! I am still a newbie here.
So, I was excited to manually flash the official kitkat firmware for i9295, so i downloaded it from the internet.
But i couldn't explain what happened. Formerly, my phone was running a Carbon Rom "CARBON-KK-UNOFFICIAL-20140514-0523-jactiveltexx",
with clockworkmod recovry 6.0.3.5 (i think).
while waiting for the Official Kitkat Rom to finish downloading, i went and went to CWM recovery and wipe data, factory reset, and dthings like that etc. and starting the phone again.
Until It got stuck in the start screen of the phone which shows " Samsung Galaxy S4 Active i9295"
Please Help! I have been searching everywhere but there is no such solution to be found.
Please help! Even when i charge my phone, there is no animation, it just shows the battery with the circle and it freezes!
I will post pictures when i get a capturing device, please help me if you know a solution
Just start your phone in download mode (volume down + home + power) and install kitkat with odin

I tried to flash back the official stock firmware 4.2.2 but odin kept saying "no Pit partition" or something like that,
Then I include the Pit file for i9295 but it kept saying "FAIL, Re partition failed" or something like that
