Hello. I would unroot android. It is possible when my phone is deodexed and with cocore kernel?? Thanks
P.s.: I would unroot phone because my device status is "personal". When the device status becomes "official" I will reroot phone.

Easiest way to unroot and get the device status to official again is by flashing back the official firmware using ODIN.

it happened me again. I unroot by deleting busybox and unroot by superSU . everything ok
What happened again? Yes, you can unroot that way too but still by flashing back the official firmware you'll get a clean unroot and "official" status.
Btw, if you're using cocore kernel and deodexed fw, of course the device status will be custom and root is required.

Which updates? SU? Busybox? If it's firmware OTA update that you're referring to, then yeah. When you root you'll lose that and deodexed rom is a custom rom, so you won't get any updates.

For that you need all stock. System files, kernel, everything. Best way to do it is to flash stock FW with Odin. But when you do that you can flash flash firmware that you want.

Do u have original link ?
you can flash in a custom recovery if you are TOTALLY STOCK.
it's ok if you are rooted (though you'll probably lose root).
This will FAIL if you are on a deodexed stock rom.
If you are rooted and want to maintain root, then just flash a supersu flashable zip (google that for a link). after flashing the ota

It came from users who got the notification. Since there is only one variant of the N4, it is easy to tell it is the correct update.
Soooo if I flashed this and i lose root. Can I use wugfresh's toolkit to reroot?
Any way to flash and not lose root? Or is it easy to get root back with the toolkit?

Update keeps failing for me. I was on Franco kernel, went back to stock kernel and wiped cache and Dalvik. Not sure what is going on.
Where can I find a stock 4.2.1 rom? I'm CM10.1 right now.
and when is the original OTA version coming? im using stock unrooted rom and i dont want to root

Huh? The OTA is here now. You don't need to root or unlock the bootloader to install it. Either wait for your phone to get the notification or install the SDK and use adb sideload.
can someone do me a favor and upload a copy of the file in system/lib named

OTA Rootkeeper successfully brought back root access after I flashed the 4.2.2 update. As long as you have your root backed up prior to updating, you don't need to reflash supersu.
A question, I'm rooted running stock & am very familiar with flashing Roms but never an update like this / do I wipe anything when I flash or not?

This is my understanding too. Bear in mind that as soon as official updates are released a developer here will make it available on xda. This means you often get updates before you would normally (because they are rolled out at different times depending on carrier and region).

Edit/update : check also this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2552982
You cant go back. Knox is not a counter its a flag. Now if you flash anything custom your warranty is void i.e recovery, kernel etc.
Official 4.3 is now the only thing you CAN flash without voiding warranty. Root etc will now void it. You should have waited for reports before flashing

I had flashed official 4.3 to my i9305 and nw i'm stucked on New bootloader with Knox
Can i flash this rom to my phone is updated already and now is on 4.3 with knox bootloader. Is there any solution to downgrade the bootloader. Please help.
That wont work once you trigger Knox as per all the posts you are stuck .
The future may bring a fix or not
5. If you try to downgrade to earlier firmware / bootloader it will set the knox flag to 0x1 i.e. void.
6. once the knox flag gets set to 0x1 there is no way to set it back (that anyone has found yet anyway!).

your are stuck with official 4.3 you cannot downgrade the bootloader now, flashing any rom (other than official 4.3), custom recovery.... will trigger knox count thus voiding your warranty

So if i flash another official 4.3 will not trigger knox flag? I already knew that if we try to downgrade os version will trigger, but flashing another official 4.3 will also trigger it?
All posts i have found on xda shows that knox counter will not change... See the links from the my first comment.

Sorry...keep seeing people say this...its NOT a counter. It only has two values 0 and 1.
But yes...flashing official is fine. But root it or flash recovery etc will make flag 1

I understand that but if you flash a new official rom from one to another, how does it know that the new flash rom it is not a custom rom and don't change the counter.
I think that is were we must look for a solution. If Samsung can make new roms that don't change the counter the we ca do it to or !!!
I got the NB4 update and was able to re-root via an older version of Kingo. Got SS installed and want to install a custom rom on the device. When i'm reading through the instructions, it wants me to flash via ODIN some files.
Can anyone explain on why I have to flash via ODIN files to get the ROM to install on SS? I did install one before and it didn't need and re-flashing.
Was the ROM you are trying to flash a KitKat ROM? Maybe the ROM required updated firmware?
Because you are flashing a KitKat ROM.
You need the BL, AP and CP to be flashed in Odin in order for the ROM to boot and function properly.
You will also have to flash the ROM to the stock slot or it will not work correctly.

I used the most recent kingo 1.2.2 a it gave me root, I had to make sure the I had no virus software's activated during the flashing or it would just sit there and do nothing and also make sure you put 10 min. on screen timeout............. Now all I need is to look for is some custom NB4 Rom's ( I think) 4.3 JB to flash and play, I finding that untill the OTA 4.4 KK gets rooted I won't venture forward........
