I am looking for a ROM that is as close to stock as possible, but without the Sprint bloat, and automatic updates that might try to relock my phone. My phone is already S-Offed via revone and unlocked via this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244060 If there is one that has Photo Sphere working, even better!
Check out ViperRom stock with goodies.

Ok so here is where I run into my issues. I am a gamer on my phone. At some point everyone is. But I play perblues games parallelmafia and parallel kingdom. On ics on the vivid I am getting some kind of skipping lag. And its only on that game. Maybe someone can help and try to figure the issue. I also called HTC support they attempted with same issue.

I have arhd Rom which is perfect for me as it has all the bloat stuff removed, but I need an unrooted version so that my work email client and Sky Go will run. Is there a way to completely unroot? I tried removing superuser, busybox and Su but Sky Go and work email still complain that my phone is rooted ? Thanks for any guidance.

Ultimately you need to install a stock RUU/ROM.zip. What you have to do before that depends on if you have S-OFF via Revolutionary or an unlocked HBOOT.

But I don't want a stock Rom, and I don't want to loose CWM recovery either, I just want to unroot my customised Rom, is it possible ?

Nope. I did tried to unroot (unproper) by deleting the superuser apks in /system/app. I did that on my friend's galaxy ace. But his phone is stock.Try deleting /system/bin/sh too.

I'm going to give some vague instructions that worked for me.
1) s-off your boot loader (revone)
2) run the exe ruu 1.29.
3) once you're back on stock follow the revone instructions to s-on.
Sorry for not providing more information. Good luck

I'm already s off. If I run the ruu I will then be stock s off and can receive the ota updates?

Yes. I'd leave it s-off. It won't hurt anything. Make sure the stock recovery is back after you run the ruu.

Just picked up a new HTC one and am intending on unlocking the bootloader, installing twrp, rooting and gaining s-off. All videos I've seen and all I've read seem to be at least 6 months old, pre 4.3 update. My question is should these procedures all work on my HTC One which is already on 4.3. Just trying to avoid any issues along the way. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Yes they are still good involving the method from getting your dev code to unlock your bootloader to installing the twrp (always install the latest version) even getting your phone s-off if your on 1.55 hboot then you need to use rumrunner to get s-off after you unlock your bootloader and install trwp and get root make sure to flash a custom Rom before you run rumrunner

I just got my one as well. Do you need to flash a custom rom before using rumrunner?

I was literally just about to post a thread just like this lol. I'm not new to rooting but this phone makes it much more difficult than my prior Samsung phones. Can someone explain to me what the difference between unlocking the bootloader is and getting s-off? Also, for several hours yesterday I was attempting to unlock the bootloader but like OP I couldn't find a recent tutorial that involves getting the dev code (I actually found one but itwasn't very thorough). What exactly is rumrunner and a RUU and why do I need them, please and thank you

I have the HTC one and the updates in my region take a long time until it gets released so, are there any way to install latest stock updates If I unlocked my phone? and where to find those roms
I used to do so on the galaxy nexus, and I got lost when I tried to do it on the htc one
I would start here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41484316
[GUIDE]Unlock-Recovery-Rooting-Restore back-S-OFF-SUPERCID for your One
Once that's done, you should easily be able to ruu whatever stock rom for the m7 you want.
