hello everyone here, thx a LOT ! ! for yor work, im from venezuela i have SAMSUNG GALAxy TAB FROm T MOBILE , im using it here with MOVISTAR CARREER VENEZUELA, I FLASHED the firmware to ACTIVE ROTO dialer with XXJMA , I CANT GET 3G at all, i tried too many modems.. IM DESPERATED, i tried ROTO SIWTCHER WITH NO LUCK< PLEASE MISTER ROTO hammer and SOMEWHERE ELSE HELP ME
You will never get 3g unless you are on the t-mobile network.
Why? Because the t-mobile tab has a radio that only works on the 2100 and 1700 bands, and Movistar is 1900 band. So the 3g isn't possible because the hardware (radio chip) can't do it.
The modem switch won't help.

Help, I cant seem to find a clear answer so I am asking you fine folks for help.
I have a N7000 running the stock (no root) samsung 4.0.4 ROM baseband XXLRK, what baseband do I want to use if I want to run it on Tmobile's HSPDA/HSPA+ in California, US? Can I just flash a new radio? which one works best?
Do I just sell this thing and get the Tmobile version?
Any help is appreciated!!

Last time I checked, you can't get Tmo 3g or 4g unless you have a pentaband device, (Like the gnex) which I don't believe out Note is. Sell it and get the Tmo version.

there is an update on the xxls1 modem to xxls3
I just bought my second I9305 (first one was stolen) and it doesn’t connect to any network band. It is the same International model I had before that worked perfectly. I’m not sure if it has some country code limitation, but the frequencies and bands should be the right ones.
The phone is stock version. Baseband version XXUEMK1.
I’m not sure if I should flash to another Baseband. My cellular service provider works LTE at 1800 frequency and Band 3.
Any clues about what I should do?
Thanks
Henning

Hi,
Which is your stock firmware version JB 4.1.2 ? JB 4.3, or ?
Rooted or not ?
If you want to be sure your phone is OK, just reflash via ODIN your stock firmware from your country (and if you want from your carrier), it includes PDA, CSC and MODEM . Be sure your phone is an internationnal model i9305 and download your firmware HERE or HERE. I recommand this GUIDE from MaHo_66 xda member.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I'm not sure where to find these JB numbers tou are asking. The BuIld number is JSS15J.19305XXUEMKC. In Kies appears: PDA: MKC, Phone:MK1, CSC:MK2 (VDI).
The list of firmwares in the Samsung Updates page doesn't have the specific country/carrier I use. How do I know which one is equivalent?
Thanks

I've made some googling but I didn't found which modem version you have to use. I guess you have to find a latin america modem version but it has to be compatible with your current Android 4.3 build.
Did you previous stolen i9305 was running Android 4.3 as well ?
Do you know some ways to remember which versions you had on your previous phone ? Do you know someone else with the same phone ?

One is: I9055XXUEMK8, the other friend has I905VJUGNE2.
Hope this helps to find out the best version for my Samsung 3.
Thanks again for you help.

So try do a clean install by wiping all and flash latest build I9305XXUEML9 from italy (TIM) with Odin. It's Android 4.3 like you currently have.
You can grab it here for exemple : http://samsung-updates.com/details/24460/Galaxy_S_3_LTE/GT-I9305/TIM/I9305XXUEML9.html
Follow MaHo_66 guide.
Don't forget to backup.
I hope it will do the trick.
Hi,hbergold, why not flash the version firmware 4.4.4 Stock. Here you have two versions of 4.4.4:http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9305 So you would be clear if the problem is the modem.I use the version DBT Poland, I live in Spain and everything works great.Version 4.4.4 also includes again the possibility of entering service mode and choose the bands. You can flash it with Odin.Pasate por aqui:http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=920004

Gracias viktorak, but does this modem work with LTE band 3 (1800) ?
I can`t confirm, but with the the Service Mode you can force the band you will.Have you read the post I linked?Your partner, also from Venezuala wanted to force the band 5 -3G, and according to reported- it works. Then, using Service Mode you can force the band you will.
You need to first install the 4.4.4 Rom and then if it doesn`t work normally use Service mode.

@hbergold, about KNOX, you told me you have an Android 4.3 build, so if it's an official one, you already have a KNOX bootloader (the one from sammy Android 4.3).
About bootloaders:
- if you ever flash 4.3 or 4.4 via Odin or updated from OTA you have new Bootloader from android 4.3 or from 4.4.4.
- if you bought your device and you dont know what bootloader you have, turn off your phone, reboot to download mode (hold power + volume down +home buttons) and when is there Knox flag 0x1 you have new bootloader and you are warranty off. When Knox flag is there 0x0 you have also new bootloader, but you are still in warranty and when you'll flash any custom recovery or unofficial firmware via Odin, you'll have then Knox 0x1 and you will be warranty off - so it's on your deciding. When isn't in download mode any records about about Knox, you still have old bootloader (from android 4.1.2).
- since the new sammy Android 4.4.4 bootloader, now there is also a line in blue color saying ´´SECURE DOWNLOAD : ENABLED''
About @MaHo_66 's opinion, please read here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56506775&postcount=12. I hope he will not find any problem of sharing his post
I also recommand to upgrade to an Android 4.4.4 build but it's your choice and it depends on what you want to do with your phone (install custom ROM or not = warranty stuffs / if you want to sell the phone later, ....). Also I think you will not be able to flash any older official build (Android 4.1.2 or 4.3) if you upgrade to 4.4.4 because of the bootloader. I recommand it mainly because there is no more this random ******* stuck mdm_hsic_pm0 wakelock issue appeared since sammy Android 4.3 and which was a big problem for battery life. And also because it's smoother and faster.
I hope for you that @viktorak service mode trick will work for you if you decide to upgrade to android 4.4.4 official.
Hello Guys !!
I am in a big trouble ,I bought i9305 after a while I descovered that it doesn't support 3G network in my country (Algeria)
I tried to find a ROM for i9305 TMC but I didn't get it
Help please ??? What to do to get 3G network working on my phone
PS: I tried all types of configuration of 3G in my Operators and other operators
Regardless

Hello and thank you for using Q/A,
3G should work on all ROMs. Definitely on Stock. But if you want, you can try a Marshmallow ROM on the I9305 Development section. You can check your APN too.

Thanx a lot for your answer !!!
But I think that 3G is depended on the country of the ROM , note that I didn't find a ROM for i9305 TMC (algeria) even in sammobile
Anyway I will try Marshmallow and I will get back soon
Regardless
Hi Slimane, stock Kitkat 4.4.4 is working excellent and also supports 3G and 4G. You don't need to have Algerian official ROM to make it working, you could use another country firmware too.
You just need to setup correctly with your operator, and you should be good to go. In worst case, it may be that your provider does not have a 3G option which is almost impossible. Cheers.
