It is possible to have a custom rom that has a base of
cm10.2 and has the LG Optimus UI 3 ?
i think it is a really good idea because many of the 4x users remain on 4.1.2 because they like the optimus ui just like me...
but it will be great to have a rom with 4.3 and optimus ui
i know this can be done because i saw roms with for 4x with sense & touchwiz
if someone from the developers have interest to build this rom it will be a big success
have a nice day
I would really love if we have such a rom

I think the dev's should first work on stability, performance and battery life and after it's done, then think about other UI
Many users (like me) prefer stable ROMs against good looking UI, but I think such a UI will be available very soon just because CM 10.2 is themeable like every CM is and there for sure will be a Optimus UI (like the one for 4.2.2, somewhere in the general android themes section)

Hi
What rom is(and will be) the best between AOKP and cm10 version according to you?
Things to consider:
- Bugless(include SOD, FC and wakelock)
- Features
- Fluidity and speed
- Daily rom
- Battery life
note: I know these rom are brand new, but just say your opinion
CM10 feels much faster/smother to me then the 2 jellybeans posted in the dev forum
Official CM10 will be the best.

Wait for next build on aokp jelly and it will be more stable.
I'm currently using build 1.

guys we all know thst aokp is born tnx to cm10 ...aokp is cm10 based...cm10 is more stable but if you want more custumization..aokp is for you
sent from my lovely phone....hmmm wait its a tablet...waaa i dont really know.....im PARANOID NoW!
CM10 all along.I hate pink horses, those are things for strange people.
....and WTF is that swagg button....
In my experience the unofficial CM10 in our forums is a lot smoother than AOKP, in addition to AOKP having strange issues where my music would stop playing every time I wake the phone :\
Official CM10 will definitley be the best experience, but that could be a long time waiting for it.
Greetings!
My friend asked me if I could speed up his incredible S, and I told him that I could try and install a new rom on it.
However, I don´t know a thing about Incredible S roms. I am looking for a stable and fast rom, he is an android noob
so it has to have little to no bugs. Also ICS or JB would be good.
I don´t know if MIUI is available for this phone, but if so, is it fast and bug free? How about AOKP or CM9/10?
Which roms would you guys recommend, I´d like to try some non-sense
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app
MIUI works great on this For AOKP I would try IceCold. CM9/CM10 are still full of bugs here but if you want you can have a look at them also. I would recommend CodeNameAndroid, as it has got the coolest tweaks
I'd recommend you to give Paranoid Android a try.
Except for some kernel related stuff, there are no major issues, and yes - it is responsive. And with some undervolting I get really good battery life out of it as well, even though I overclock.

*edit*
"little to no bugs"
Well, CyanogenMod 7, MIUI or Sense-ROM's seems to be your options in that case.
Pretty much every AOSP/AOKP ROM with ICS/JB will have the same bugs since the current kernels that are used for them are hacked to work... so if he doesn't want any bugs he should stay away from ICS/JB ROM's that are AOSP/AOKP - for now at least, but if it doesn't matter that much if some stuff isn't working properly and so on: go for Paranoid Android or Codename android.

How about the Venom ViperVIVO?
As I remember, you and markj talked about it once or twice.
The least buggy rom I use has to be IceColdSandwich

ViperVIVO is not out for public yet, still beta's.
But from what I've heard, it seems to be worth a try when it is released

Well, it's a Sense ROM And it's not out for public yet but I tried it and if everything works, it's gonna be awesome as candy!
Is the MIUI rom functional and without bugs? MMS and all that shizzle working? Which version is the best, and is it 2.3 or 4.0?
Is MIUI completely bug free? Is it 2.3 or ICS that it is built on?

Miui gingerbread was based off CM7 so it didn't have many problems
Miui ICS is based off HTC's ICS ruu so there are not many problems either. Some problems from the chinese miui release were fixed by spongychicken. His rom is in the dev section, have a look
Codename android has my vote. It is a great JB ROM. however, it does have a few bugs.

Trust me , ICS is even bettter than GB ...
JB is good , but battery drains like a heck and got some random reboots , so i highly recommend an ICS rom.
Pros of ICS:
-Solid as hell with good battery
-Smooth
-Fast
-A lot of Jelly Bean apks and mods can also be used on ICS
Cons of ICS:
-Development has mostly stopped (except kevinrus )
-Lack of features compared to Jelly Bean (which some people don't like)
Pros of Jelly Bean:
-HW acceleration (which tends to be hit and miss on our device sometimes)
-Built in features such as Expandable notifications, lockscreen widgets etc
-Extra features such as Halo and in general more customiseable ability
-Latest and greatest
Cons of Jelly Bean:
-HW acceleration really does take its toll on a single core device with only so much ram
-Because builds are released daily they aren't always stable and may have bugs
-Increased battery consumption naturally
4.3 builds are a lot better than 4.2 builds though, despite being in early stages, the few builds of CM10.2 I've tried were excellent

I agree with @Soryuu that 4.3/CM10.2 is a huge improvement compared to all 4.2 ROMs, it's faster and gives double battery life. Check my new thread posted this afternoon, I posted guide how to cleanly upgrade and have bug-free working CM10.2
It is that good that I've flashed Semaphore 3.1.0s kernel and won't upgrade anymore, good enough for me

I hope it will work for you, it is bug-free in my i9000:

If it doesn't, read my new thread that I've posted just yesteday.
I've been posting those information for clean, bug-free downgrade/upgrade from CM and unbricking to many i9000 users and it seem to work that way.

Let Google release Kit Kat,
then let them release its source,
then let CM start working on nightlies,
let the nightlies stabilise a bit,
Non neon support has been dropped... HOPEFULLY some one using tegra device will manage to port it for us,
then maybe... who knows... depends on the nature of changes too...
Now how do you want the chances, using mathematics or statistics... should I use conditional probability
We only have official ICS, all of jellybean is unofficial...
i say enjoy the current candy, The ROM JB 4.3 is very much stable and usable as daily driver...
Hahahahahaha seriously? 4.3 is still being stabilized and you ask for 4.4 that is still not out? Geez, i love xda lol

I think it's not very hurry to get a android4.4 because 4.3 is very smooth and stable too.:cyclops:
Yes I know that kowalski and tonyp is working hard on 4.3 (kowalski on the kernel) and they did an amazing job (respect to them) but the people will always want the new "thing" I use 4.3 too (love it) but I look forward too for 4.4

No doubt their work is awesome.
hi
4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 none of them are stable.
I use but each with their problem.
I'm with The Rom Tony P. and love,
clear that hdmi and bluetooth does not work,
but to me it does not matter to me,
but that means unstable,
hopefully Tony P together with a Kernel MASTER PENGUS,
again make our 2X a great phone and not stop in time.:good:

you right
Also, i've read that KitKat should be heavily optimized to work well with devices that have lower specs and 512 megs of memory. Sounds like a good news, but i guess only tonyp and pengus could shed some light on that

fingers crossed. Well for those who can't wait for android 4.4 and just want to have a feel of it feel free to download the apks for it.
i dunno if it's true or not, but i read this "One of the key features of the new release is optimizations made to the OS, so as to be able to run smoothly on legacy devices with just 512 MB of RAM." but with that said, i think it will be only custom roms with the Optimus 2X that will give us Android 4.4 bcs i doubt that pre 2011 phone with Android will get updated like LG would give the Optimus 2x, Android 4.4 but i could be wrong...
well i think its time to say goodbye to O2X .....been using it for almost 3 yrs.it had good run....just ordered NEXUS 5......:laugh:
If you guys are so eagerly waiting for 4.4 then why not change it in build prop .
Simple I am doing it since gingerbread. currently I am on 10.2.6
The N5 is very good, but has some negative things.
Battery and camera when change will be for the LG G2 , xiaomi mi3 or S4
Tanujcool how?
