Xposed/ Sense 5 Toolbox Help - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I have HTC one and just installed NAdroid Revolution 20 by mike with Android 4.3. TO use the Sense 5 toolbox I know you need xposed. One of the mods I use is battery percentage inside icon. It works when i activate it but everytime i restart my phone the percentage goes away. Is there a way to keep it on all the time

Sorry to be jumping on your thread without an answer for you but I have the exact same setup as you but none of the mods will activate when I reboot! I have Xposed installed as well which appears to be working but won't permit a reboot, so I downloaded Quick Boot instead to do this. Not sure if that is related to the mods not activating, there are one set of mods that do activate and these are CleanBeam Mods by vomer but nothing else.
More chance of a reply if we have 2 similar problems!

[Q] How to disable battery full charge alert galaxy s III 4.1.2

Hi, i need some help...
i have samsung galaxy s III lte uk on 4.1.2 stock, rooted with busybox, supersu and clockworkmod recovery.
i am trying to stop the phone from waking up and beeping when it is fully charged.
i have spent hours searching and trying different solutions from various threads.
so far i have...
grabbed SystemUI.odex (and SystemUI.apk) + framework files decompiled it (.odex) and edited PowerUI.smali and PowerUI$1.smali
put the editied .odex back into SystemUI.apk, zipaligned, pushed to sdcard, dexopt-wrapper, copy file attributes and replace original SystemUI.odex (but not SystemUI.apk) with edited one, change permissions, sync, reboot
making the following changes from the following threads and used combinations...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2125129
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2202334
while using the above info stops the battery full in the notification bar it doesn't always stop the beep and screen turning on when plugged into the mains.
I have also tried using xposed framework with tweakbox again that stops the notification bar icon but not the beep and screen on alert.
Any help would be much appreciated!
See your exact same post .
Decided to go with custom rom [XXBMG3-V18.5] Ripper Rom. Easy to install and customise, and removes battery notification.

Thanks for the info will give that a try!
I implemented the tweaks in your guide. stops the battery notification thanks. is there a way to disable the screen from turning on and fully charged beep sound (without deleting the sound file)
Thanks
Update...
have tried every suggested method. still cannot stop the screen on wake when fully charged. was hoping that the ripper rom update would solve this but still has the same problem which is a shame because its a fantastic stock based rom. what does work is installing a non stock based rom have tried cyanfox which is so far so good!

[Q] Bluetooh toggle does not work

I cannot turn my Bluetooth on using any of the toggles nor any program I've tried.
HTC One Dev. Edition Rooted
Android Revolution 30 ROM
Sense 5 and Exposed Toolbox Installed, but not activated right now.
Its embarrassing, but I have no idea WHAT I did that could have done this. Aside from Revolution and Exposed, I have no really flashed anything like a firmware or a radio in months. Aside from the "Flash back to stock and see if it works then" does anyone have any ideas? Its happened in the last few weeks sometime (I use it infrequently).

wtf

What's the point of rooting an active if you can't do anything with it. Now you can't even get the new at&t update. Someone explain what the reason is please besides the thrill of pointless tinkering.

I do lots of stuff with my rooted S4A. Wanam Xposed, Pie Controls, frozen ATT bloat and Avast Firewall to name a few things. It even text messages and makes phone calls!
New update=yawn. 4.3 isn't a big deal (unless you want a Gear).

It depends on what you're trying to accomplish. I personally have root so I can fully utilize Titanium Backup to backup my entire phone, block ads, use Folder Mount to force files to be saved to my external SD card, install Cerberus as a system app to utilize more of its features, and install Xposed Framework and Xposed Modules to endlessly customize my phone and add additional functionality to it. It's up to you whether or not you think rooting is worth it. With that said you can always update to the official AT&T 4.3 firmware using the Odin files found in this thread.
Good points for your purposes granted. But I loved to change roms on my gs2 until I found cm, then I stuck with that one as my fav. I'm just frustrated that it is not that easy or even possible anymore, at least with this phone that I like and plan on keeping for a while.

Hey Devo, you run xposed framework on the stock rom with no issues? I had some problems with it on my sgh-i537 and some of the modules wouldn't work at all. If I tried to install the hypderive device tools(shutdown) menu, when I use the shutdown button my phone locks up and just shuts off, no menu ever appears. I really like alot of the hyperdrive functions, I'd love to be able to add the hyperdrive tweaks too, but never had any luck there either.
As concern me I will sell my s4 active No Roms No updates :'(

Yeah, I run Xposed on my stock ROM. The only issue I ever had was a few days ago when I updated XPrivacy and the phone refused to boot. I had to flash the Xposed disabler with SafeStrap. I run the GPE ROM in slot 1 so I can't speak to the way Hyperdrive works. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Ok, I see. so whatever is in your slots can affect your stock rom as well? I also ran GPE in another slot for a while and I liked it, but with the aroma installer and the hyperdrive tweaks, it really is something I'd like to stick with. I wish I understood more about what is shared and what isn't between roms in slots and the deal with the locked bootloader. We're a long way from Windows Toto, lol. Then again, I do networking, not programming so much.
So, do you run the advanced power menu module on your stock ROM? I really like the HyperDrive version, I think it's called HyperDrive Device Menu or something.
I want to say I installed wanam and xposed from apk files, no flashing. Maybe I need to start there. Thanks again.

I don't think that the Rom slots impact each other unless you are running low on space.
I don't have am advanced power menu and I'm not sure what the Hyperdrive one looks like. That said Wanam had a couple of options that extend the power menu that are worth a try.
Everything I've installed has been by directly installing an apk. Except for dark dialer, dark contacts, and call recording.

thanks for the info man. I will try the wanam menu and see, think I tried it once, but still had the issue with the button locking up. One thing for sure, installing these other ROM's gives me plenty of ideas of how to change my stock ROM! BTW, I love D.C. saw the FW's at the National Harbor last year, good time. There's an Amtrak that runs direct from here and you can drink on the train!

Hey Devo, how do you un-flash something? I flashed a accuweather transparent widget that doesn't work and I think it might have stopped my air gesture from working, just working back from things I have changed recently and that is one of them.

You need to open up the zip file and look inside the folders to see what files are flashed and where they ate flashed. This will tell you what files were changed our added then you can manually remove them. I would also ask the creator to post a zip that removes the necessary files to return to stock. It should be easy enough.

Quite a few apps don't work without root access. Plus it is necessary to be able to use tethering without a separate plan. Battery doctor, quickboot, app quarantine, and titanium backup are just a few on mine.

xposed framework not working tried EVERYTHING

Ok So.. I am using my HTC One for almost a year now, when I came across this xposed frame work and xblast module, and I got so so excited after reading this, that trust me the sole reason for Rooting my HTC One was to be able to use xblast.
I rooted my HTC One, successfully, and installed xposed framework successfully as well, Installed xblast and did all sorts of modifications like, changing carrier text, wifi signal color, battery color, mobile signal color and couple of others and did a reboot, and to my surprised and much to the anticlimax to my excitement NOTHING worked not even one change happened ... ... I was like in tears ... ..... well check and re checked everything, and tried a hard re boot and still nothing.
I then noticed if I go in to xposed framework, it says the latest version of xposed is not active and I have like red "42" in front of app_process.
Searched xda and came to conclusion that you have to manually or automatically (what ever works) have to install the xposed framework file.
I tried the below files from THIS thread
cwm-Xposed.Framework.Installer.v2.3.1.zip
cwm-Xposed.Framework.Installer.v2.4.1.zip
Version 2.4.1 if I install by going in to recovery mode, the phone does not boot at all and gets stuck at HTC Logo screen, I have to then go to recovery and load the " Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip " to be able to boot.
Version 2.3.1 if I install I am able to boot BUT it still says the latest version of xposed is not installed. and its all red in front of app_process.
Searched XDA AGAIN and some post suggested that do a manual install and when in recover install the xposed-installer-recovery.zip from Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files BUT doing this again does not let my phone boot and I am stuck at HTC Logo till the time I re boot to recovery and run the Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip
I am using a rooted HTC One M7 with Android 4.4.2 and HTC sense 6 with Nova Launcher ..
Friends as you can see I have done every part of my own trouble shooting and have read like gazillions thread on XDA and tried out every possible thing I can think off.
I believe I now have the right to start a thread and ask for help officially ....SO PLEASE HELP ...:crying:
Hi Friends, any one on this, I could really use some help and guidance here ....
Have you tried to reinstall xposed? Deinstall the app and reinstall everything? What about root access? Have you granted xposed root access?
Use the latest version (2.6.1) and flash Xposed from the recovery. We can't help you if you're using an old version (2.4.1).
(FYI, the installer would've told you to do exactly that if you just used the latest version.)
OK OK wait I did some more reading, mean time I was waiting for a reply here, and did some troubleshooting, it seems the S-On was the culprit ....... I had to use firewater to get S-OFF even that was not straight as I was getting some error. I then had to flash kernal Bulletproof and then use firewater to have S-OFF.
Anyway with S-OFF I finally was able ti have Xposed framework all green. BUT BUT xblast which was the sole purpose of the entire saga, messed up my phone like anything. I loaded Xblast module and again did all sorts of changes, and re booted, ...
Here goes my experience ...
1. It took a truck load of time to boot,
2. Then when I finally saw the desktop screen, my carrier signal was off, No signal what so ever ...
2.1 BTW I was able to see few xblase changes like my name on the status bar.
2.2 Crashed few apps like DS Audio and lastfm
3. Even before I could think to proceed I started getting this message "com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" repeatedly, again n again. I kept on pressing Dont send but the message would not go.
4. I rebooted again and same behavior the message simply would not go, plus no signal.
5. What I finally did was somehow go in to xposed framework and uncheck xblast and rebooted
6. Finally I was able to boot with everything back.
Good new is atleast Xposed Framework is working with all Green. Xblast didnt and is checkedoff
BTW xblast version is latest (AFAIK) ...1.8.7
Any suggestions steps the gurus here can recommend to have xblast working.
Mean time will try some other modules like BubbleUPnP (Audio cast) , sense 6 tools etc and report ...
Thanks for all the help and guidance
This is the wrong place for module specific support, you should post in the modules' threads instead.
could have atleast point me in the right direction .... anyway thanks for all help here ....

[GUIDE] Xposed on P9 Lite

[WILL NOT WORK ON ANDROID N]
There is no functional Xposed for Nougat (yet)
Hey everyone!
Since there is no dedicated thread for how to install Xposed for the P9 Lite yet, I thought I quickly provide the method how I made it work for future users.
What you need?
- Unlocked BL
- TWRP Installer
- Root
So you want to get the version of Xposed provided by Wanam. Version 86 for arm64 is what you are looking for! You can get it here.
UPDATE: I experienced extreme battery drain and crashing settings with version 86. I am now using version 84 and all is fine again.
Don't worry that it says Samsung devices in the thread.
Download the zip package that you need and place it somewhere. Then download the Xposed installer apk.
For example here in the first post attached.
Install the apk.
Now it's time to fire up TWRP and make a backup!
Then flash the zip you have downloaded before. If you downloaded the right version, it should flash without errors.
Now reboot. BE PATIENT. It can take several minutes for the first boot.
That's it. You should now be able to use Xposed modules like enabling background play on official YoutTube app :victory:
Sidenote: some people mentioned that you may need to switch your SELinux mode to permissive. Since I had it on permissive in the first place I don't know if it's really the case.
PS: leave a like for the guys providing these awesome Xposed frameworks if you download them :good:
Hey man, some days ago i tried to install this on my p9 lite. I got bootloop caused by "not enough space" (with more than 6GB of free space) error during the installation of the framework. Any suggetion? Maybe we need a new partition system?

Hmm I did not encounter something like this. However, I did receive some errors earlier with backups in TWRP. Maybe there is a bug in this TWRP version for this device.
Afaik it is ported from the Chinese version of the P9 Lite so I don't really know who is working on this.
But it is strange. Have you tried to flash it a second time? Maybe just a weird bug?
Since I was able to install it just fine...
Uhm, i'm bit afraid cause i have done a full reset after that problem. I think i will wait before doing it again
just installed ,xposed-v85.1-sdk23-arm64-custom ,on L21 and works fine for now
thanks
what modules are you running?
l31
guys does this package works on l31 phones because I got already a bootloop with the l21 guide mentioned above..ty
Yes, i've done it like mentioned above and its working perfectly on my l31. As you see on my Screenshots. Authentication Info with the xposed Flat Style bar indicators and coloured Bars. But after flashing the Framework the Bootlogo showed up for around for 15minutes before booting up. I thought I got stuck in Boot. An started thinking of reflash my Backup. But it booted and its working.
Also getting bootloop on my L31 - complains about not enough space on device when trying to flash.
Hello all just have a quick question which better to use the xposed-v86.0-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160709 or xposed-v86-sdk23-arm64 version or does it matter? Thanks..

I'm using Xstana for status bar and navigation buttons and working fine for me
As far as I know the official and latest version of Xposed works in Huawei, You just have to disable themes in build.prop
Check this out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66380010&postcount=30
The flatstyle colored Bars is working without problems. Version 2.1.0 its changing Statusbar color like orange on xda and red on YouTube. An the navbar changes between white Grey and black or transparent depending on Main brightness of the whole window. I've had installed xposed-v86.0-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160709 like mentioned above. And I first thought I got stuck in Boot loop But it run for around 15 minutes before the system booted up. Let it settle and before booting clean Cache and Dalvik.

Trimis de pe al meu HUAWEI VNS-L21 folosind Tapatalk
I've installed the official version and it's working like a charm.
Hi, my phone version is VNS-L31/ B105 (Wind branded).
I can confirm everithing is working just fine after installing official xposed apk from the official thread
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811) and flashing the last framework "xposed-v86-sdk23-arm64.zip" from the link in the same thread.
No errors reported during flashing, albeit i just have to wait 5-10 minutes during rebooting before the UI to appear.
I'll give you some tips on some issues i dealt with and some modules i've installed:
1) "DoubleTapToSleep - working
2)GravityBox - not everything is working, i've just set the hardware keys actions to run some applications, but the recents key isn't working as default setting. Power tweaks section isn't working too. QuickSettings aren't working even disabling the two strings in build.prop file.
3)If you want an advanced reboot menu then try the module "NeoPowerMenu". in order to make it working you have to go in advanced settings and enable the function "ExperimentalPhoneWindowManager hook" then reboot and it should be working.
4) XPrivacy - working
5) i experienced problems with some apps that need to stay in background like ZDcalendar for if I close the app from the Recent apps window, the alarms or notifications scheduled are not notified. I suppose it's due to battery saving settings. I solved going to the app section--->then the app I want to manage--->battery--->enabling "keep running after screen off".
i had the same problem with the app Twilight, in fact when i closed the recent apps from the recents window, the app just shut down.
enabling the function mentioned above will prevent the app from closing unless you kill it manually.
Hope this will help, bye!
