I checked my score on Antutu benchmark. I see that my device score for 3D Graphic was as low as 1200+ while average is 2100+
Tried with Gpu rendering on/of diff CPU max speed but the score remains low.
I have also noticed lags in heavy games.. Is my phone getting too old?

Hello:
This is my score with Antutu Benchmark on my OB with Nova v8 1.1 Ghz.
Antutu is a horrible benchmark.
It's biased towards Qualcomm's chipsets.
Quadrant, neocore, smartbench are crap as well.
The less crappy benchmark I know is CF-Bench and it only measures CPU performance.
I have 3044 benchmark with Antutu, and 2245 with Quadrant.
BUT I don't rely with the result, as my phone is smoothly enough as daily-usage...
hello,
I just bougnt a SG Note and I did some tests with quadrant.
The first tests was OK about 3800 - 4000 points (I understand this king of fluctuation) but after a while, Quadrant tests were about 3000 - 3500... Even after reboot.
here the details (not in order) :
Score :3051 3600 4016 3792 3214 2971 3831 3425 3574
CPU : 5094 4496 5578 5006 5013 4799 5462 5506 5610
MEM: 3899 4237 4391 4646 3831 2565 4336 4497 4457
I/O : 3736 6205 7634 6761 4652 5099 6674 4612 5144
2D : 529 538 546 551 533 529 554 533 546
3D : 1996 2073 1930 1996 2043 1862 2130 1975 2115
For 2D / 3D fluctuation seems OK
For I/O fluctuation can be twice (3736 - 7636)
For MEM fluctuation ca be almost up to 80%
For CPU fluctuation is about 10 % (just 2 times where it's low 4496 & 4799)
All stock
What do you think ? Is it normal to have such a difference or my phone is defetive ?
Thank You
Further evidence that Quadrant is pure crap..
Sorry for the tone but while you're using the phone did you notice any issues? Slowness or hangups or random reboots? No?
Forget about Quadrant and enjoy your phone mate..
Hello,
No, I did not notice any lag or isssue...

Good to hear then
For benchmarks you are better off with the likes of CF Bench, AnTuTu, Ninamark (if that's the accurate speeling) than with Quadrant, try those and see how your Note fares
Hello,
Thanks for you answers.
I did some Antutu tests yesterday night ( don't have my phone right now).
Fluctuation was about 5700 - 6200.
The only strange thing I noticed is the 2D test :
Sometimes I had 140 points (about 5 tests) ans sometimes i had 280 points (whichis the normal score i guess)...
What do you think about the 2D test is it a bug ?
So i decided to make this video on different benchmarks , Check it out below... i also ran the GLbenchmark, which is the test lots of people said causes the thermal throttling, i didnt tick the triangle tests, and just did the Egypt tests, on and off screen and scores are very good,
Video- http://youtu.be/rimEV1Ou_WU
Iv also attached my glbenchmark scores to this thread as well as the CPU spy and it doesn't look like there was any thermal throttling going on here , The device did get warm, but not HOT , and i actually did the GLbench last , after all the other tests...
Hi N7 fellow users
i get MAX 2600 3D and 350 2D in antutu and quadrant though i'm all the time OC the GPU to 520mhz
is that normal ?? i'm running the latest Paranoid Android rom along the latest Franco kernel.
That is about what I get for 3D. If you go to the developer menu you can improve your 2D performance by checking the "Force GPU rendering" . For what it's worth my 2D for Quadrant went to about 1000 after the checking that option.

Thanks for your reply
My htc one X was getting 39xx, 1k higher than my nexus
though they use nearly the same gpu.

quadrant does not measure gpu, it measures fps. and we are limited to 59fps no matter how much we overclock the gpu. use a benchmark like windmill, or basemark taiji, to test your gpu and what tweaking your gpu does. quadrant is an old, out of date benchmark.

i guess i have to forget about all this paranoia coming from the low benchmark scores since every game works xD
(except horn strangely runs about 25 fps it seems, even though i'm oced to 520mhz)
Low of diminishing returns, if you over clock it doesn't mean ull always get higher scores, after ur GPU gets heated up it start to show lower and lower scores.
GPU is stable @ 446 (beyond that when ever it gets heated up it will cause touch and other issues)

Hi there!
I'm have been trying several different ROMS and tweaks to improve my general AnTuTu Score. Although I have a general idea what affects what score there's still one mystery to me - the 3D score.
I've been getting values from 1.000 to sometimes 1.800 and everything in between those two.
I can't seem to get consistent values here. I got the highest values on CM 10 stable (something like 1.900 3D score, up to 9 FPS in the "ogre fighting" benchmark part) and now on JB 4.2.1 (Fishears and CyanAOSP 0.7.5 and 0.6.5) the highest I got was 1.600 with 7 FPS max at the ogre fighting scene.
It's just mind boggling that I cant seem to find out how to raise this score.
Does anyone know WHAT exactly affects this score? I mean which tweaks do you guys run to improve this? Does the 3D score fluctuate as much for others too?
AW: [Q] How can you affect the AnTuTu 3D Score?
My values are from 1400 to 2200 and i have also no idea why.

It's kinda strange that no one seems to know... ;D
But it seems that Live OC as in Semaphore or Devil Kernel speeds up GPU too and therefore increases the 3D score too. (as opposed to normal OC of just the CPU)
