If you believe this is due to modem, you can just download JVT modem and flash as PDA using odin3
download link under modems in My Android Collection, link below
if you think you need a gps fix, many threads and different methods about it in this forum, use search for links final solution being this

Read dr ketans thread and use odin to flash ics.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
thanks mate,
but, where can i find the one that belongs to me?
also>> is there any tutorial which i can use to do like what it says?
thanks in advance
There's Dr.ketan's guide on how to change roms but you should do more reading imo.And you can't upgrade OTA when you're rooted. You can choose whatever rom you want from any region based on your needs(language maybe) but try the latest roms released as they've fixed some bugs.
You don't need any specific rom for your device. Just check which rom you like the most from the Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Android Development subforum and follow the instructions.
I think you should read these thread before installing anything http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1633943
Hi 7esain, i am from Egypt and i was able to upgrade my phone using WIFI without any problems, but u should refer to the post that perri.etb told u to refer to.
and FYI i liked the ICS too much but the battery life is shorter and the recorded sound quality is not as good as it was in Ginger Bread.
Good luck

Motherboard problem

Hi I have problem with on-screen buttons after replacing i9001 mb with i9000.
I know that they only look same but inside are different.
But everything else is working only touch keys are not.
Do you have any solutions? Maybe full format or reinstalling drivers?
Please help me

so now I guess you have used 512 PIT to partition and using an i9000 ROM on your i9001 chassis , and since its only the motherboard you had swapped, its possible this can never be solved as the remaining parts are basically meant for 19001.
since it all works, the easiest way is, you can try using button remapper to solve your problem or use virtual keys from google play store

Stuck in bootloop after flashing with ODIN(but only after I remove the battery)

Hello,
I have a "BIG" problem with my I9000, so first thing my english is very bad, please don't troll me for that
Now I want to explain my problem, I have this phone and today when I tried to make a call the phone was completly "dead", I tried to remove the battery and restart it but no luck because now the phone is in bootloop, so I flashed the phone with the help of the software ODIN.
I used this :
-CODE_I9000XXJVT_CL617736_REV03_user_low_ship.tar
-GT-I9000-CSC-HOME-MULTI-OXAJVT.tar
-MODEM_I9000XXJVT_REV_00_CL1064602.tar
-s1_odin_20100512
After I flashed this "things" the phone did a reboot and worked like a charm.
Now I tried to insert the SIM card, so I did, but here is the big problem I had the remove the battery and after I remove the phone was again "dead".
I don't want to be mean but it's like a tethered jailbreak.
Please help me to fix this thing.
Thanks!
It's may be a hardware problem then

I would check and clean battery contacts first and maybe needs some material (paper) to make it firmly in contact with contacts.

if you aren't rooted how did you get to 4.1.2 android rom?
check if you are rooted, then use apps like greenify to stop background processes.

[Q] CF-Root confusion, which one to get?

Hello, I just got a Galaxy S i9000t, I needed to flash it with a rom from XDA(The current miui if that matters), and so I looked for a way to put a cwm on it, the way I found was using CF-Root, but when I got there I found so many versions and numbers that I didn't understand.
I noticed that in my device I had software version JVB(This is PDA I guess), and in baseband I had JV7, so I downloaded this and flashed it in Odin:
CF-Root-XW_XEE_JVB-v3.1-CWM3RFS.zip
The device boots okay, but when I reach the homescreen, it reboots quickly to the logo of the communication network(Hot reboot I think this was called?), and then back into home screen, which then triggers the reboot again, so I guess I did something wrong.
Can someone direct me to the right version for me? I found nothing about JV7 in the CF-Root thread, and if I need another version, can I just flash it in odin after I flashed the wrong one?
Thank you.

i9000T is same as i9000, but meant for specific regions, so your base-band is important for communicating with your home network. , you should note it down and use that when changing ROM's
if you only want Root, you can use Framaroot , if you want CWM you can use semaphore kernel. make sure your version is (froyo/ gingerbread) correct
