if you aren't rooted how did you get to 4.1.2 android rom?
check if you are rooted, then use apps like greenify to stop background processes.

If you believe this is due to modem, you can just download JVT modem and flash as PDA using odin3
download link under modems in My Android Collection, link below
if you think you need a gps fix, many threads and different methods about it in this forum, use search for links final solution being this

Motherboard problem

Hi I have problem with on-screen buttons after replacing i9001 mb with i9000.
I know that they only look same but inside are different.
But everything else is working only touch keys are not.
Do you have any solutions? Maybe full format or reinstalling drivers?
Please help me

so now I guess you have used 512 PIT to partition and using an i9000 ROM on your i9001 chassis , and since its only the motherboard you had swapped, its possible this can never be solved as the remaining parts are basically meant for 19001.
since it all works, the easiest way is, you can try using button remapper to solve your problem or use virtual keys from google play store

[Q] Phone Won't Charge

I have just installed the [ROM JB 4.3 JSS15Q] Unofficial Cyanogenmod 10.2 Beta 1 -- Kernel 3.4 rom, and somehow my battery went down all the way to 0 and shut down. Now the rom is OK, i've tried 3 different chargers and it won't charge, it won't get into USB either, but whenever I connect it to either charger it boots up, goes into main menu and shuts down. It keeps looping like this and nothing else happens.
Any ideas guys?
EDIT:
I got my battery into another exact same phone and it charghes there, also my phone starts up with another battery but takes ages to charge, it's not recognized via USB.

Most likely you could have a damaged micro USB port (shorting pins), try cleaning and alignment of pins..follow this

Stuck in bootloop after flashing with ODIN(but only after I remove the battery)

Hello,
I have a "BIG" problem with my I9000, so first thing my english is very bad, please don't troll me for that
Now I want to explain my problem, I have this phone and today when I tried to make a call the phone was completly "dead", I tried to remove the battery and restart it but no luck because now the phone is in bootloop, so I flashed the phone with the help of the software ODIN.
I used this :
-CODE_I9000XXJVT_CL617736_REV03_user_low_ship.tar
-GT-I9000-CSC-HOME-MULTI-OXAJVT.tar
-MODEM_I9000XXJVT_REV_00_CL1064602.tar
-s1_odin_20100512
After I flashed this "things" the phone did a reboot and worked like a charm.
Now I tried to insert the SIM card, so I did, but here is the big problem I had the remove the battery and after I remove the phone was again "dead".
I don't want to be mean but it's like a tethered jailbreak.
Please help me to fix this thing.
Thanks!
It's may be a hardware problem then

I would check and clean battery contacts first and maybe needs some material (paper) to make it firmly in contact with contacts.

[Q] How to learn coding?

So I've been installing custom ROMs on my i9001 for over a year now, and I've been very much attracted by how people develop ROMs all on their own. I wanna pick up on how to create custom ROMs and kernels, so any advice?
