There's a lot of sites that said in their reviews that Xperia Z have FM transmitter and we can easily stream music to our car radios and etc.
Is there an app for this which we can use or this whole thing is "possible", but not "fact".
Mine has the fm radio app!!! plug in headphones and boom you got radio!

FM radio app uses FM receiver, im talking about FM transmitter. With it, you can stream small radiostations with your own music.
I would like to know if this is fact. Im sick of having to buy a new transmitter every few months.

It does not have fm transmitters.

Is there any way to make stock FM Radio app to respond to play/pause commands using my headset button like music player does?
Are there any other fm radio apps which have such headset button compatibility?
Basically what I want to do is to start playing my favorite radio station when my earphones are pluged in. There are several taskers which start fm radio when pluged in, however they cannot press play button on the application.

Haven't seen any more about this. Does anybody have NC working with cell-type Bluetooth headset with Mic? Or is this topic dead?

I don't think any Bluetooth mics work. No mics of any kind work. Audio should work though.
I have to hold my nook about 3 inches from my ear if I want to pair with bt. Not very much range.

No, the mic does not work

Has Bluetooth range improved with any of the current ROMs? I'd like to be able to send a signal about six feet to a bluetooth audio receiver. Possible?

Not possible. It's not a software restriction, it's hardware.

Has anyone tried to use a USB bluetooth dongle through host mode?

I am here asking because I don't know how to ask the question to get a general answer.
I know having a hardware attachment on some phones gives you the ability to transmit a radio frequency so you can tune in from your car on anything you wanted to listen to from your phone. I was curious to find out if there was an app for HTC one that would be able to do this natively?

It's called tunein radio unless you mean wirelessly I'm not sure

There's an app out but it only works on gingerbread. Some one needs to to port the app for ics and jb. I'll post the link in a bit.
EDIT: Here it is..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45451408
I have not tried it on my one yet since I just got it. But I did try it on my mytouch 4g running ics and it did not work. From what I been reading, it only works on stock gingerbread only. Some one needs to update the app.

If you mean transmit via FM, no.
Android devices that can transmit on FM band are extremely rare.
Bluetooth "transmit" is possible, but not FM.
I kinda figured, it wasn't possible sense it needed an attachment for other phones. Thanks for all your answers.

And sorry to more clarify it would create a radio station on a frequency that's not being used. Just to set things straight.
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
you may find cheap FM transmitters on eBay, used to have one during ipods days. the quality is never much and in a metropolitan area you struggle to find a free frequency. I'd say this day and age go with Bluetooth if possible

I have a Nokia AD-54 headphone adapter that wont even work with the Xperia SP.
Is there a way to make it work somehow? I just need 1 button and the mic
Bluetooth or via 3.5 mm jack?
3.5mm

Hi all...just like the title says, I can listen to music through my Bluetooth car stereo, but notifications don't play over the Bluetooth...I know its not a setting on my stereo because it worked fine with my galaxy s3....im running viper rom, s-off etc....I liked before when I had the galaxy s3 because it would lower the music volume just a little when receiving a message....any ideas? or can it not be done with this phone?
Bump.
