If you unlocked, then it's unlocked... Why don't you try looking in your service menu as well..

then flash the correct kernel in fastboot.
Or repair using pccompanion
Or flash a stock ftf in flashtool.
This is not advanced stuff...always try these things first if you think you cannot bring the phone back to life.

Yes, this belongs in q and a.
However, I suspect you have not unlocked the boot loader. Just repair your phone using pccompanion or flash tool

I have the exact same problem after flash 28-07-2013 PACman ROM
I think it's because of something in the .zip file (I'm super noob )
And I've unlocked my bootloader, so
If anyone is reading this, I recommend don't flash the 28-07-2013 PACman ROM
Leave it at charge for a while. Then try holding volume down.if green led turns on you can unbrick by flashing ftf files with flashtool

[Q] problem with kernel and recovery on xperia z

I unlock the bootloader on my xperia z and then I rooted newest firmware 10.3.1.A.0.244 by following the instructions from hire http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386405 . And everything worked as it should. Than I instal recovery and android 4.3 from hire http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2354328 . Then the problems started, I tried to install app via recovery, but android did not want to boot. I decided to go back to 4.2 with 10.3.1.A.0.244 kernel, but it was no longer possible to root the phone and every time when I install recovery android will not to boot. Is there any idea about my problem. Sorry for my english
Do you want to stay on 4.2 or 4.3, just flash the kernel you need via fastboot or flashtool then that will give you a recovery to then install custom roms. As you are on a unlocked bootloader it is a lot easier to root just search for supersu cwm installation and that will root your device.

Okay then we'll look for doomlords stock kernel with cwm take the boot. Img out if that and flash in flashtool, then load up your phone and enter cwm. Flash rom you need (a lot of Roms are pre rooted. If not then once loaded new rom install supersu zip and there you are done. Kernel with cwm, custom rom and rooted device

[Q] install CWR To sdcard

My question is if is possible install a recovery in sdcard or from flashtool.
For all user that as me lost recovery and root upgrading firmware.. 4.3 to kk For example.. Only solution is return to 534 and restart all.. But with external recovery or one dual boot... Maybe is impossible for LB.. Im not a dev.. This is only one idea

No,
Just do what you said in the post. no need for unlocked bootloader at all.
So.. Nothing for LB.. As a Sd bootable CWR..

No recovery has to be in the system or in the kernel.
But you have already given yourself the solution,
downgrade to 534, install dualrecovery, flash SuperSU, install the KK prerooted rom, done.

[Q] Z1 Hard Reset

I have a Z1 and it's not mine and the owner forgot the pattern , and I can't open it in recovery mode (on and pressing vol+ several times and btw no led blink) .
can't connect to PC Companion because I need to unlock it, and flash tools says locked phone detected.
Any ideas?
UPDATE
since the support zone don't want to be installed I installed the Update Service and it worked.
but is there anyway to this from the phone or I need to this everytime ?

You have to use SUS uf you can't access device and developer options in it.
Enable USB debugging in developer options and you'll be able to use it if that happens again.
Also, you can root device and install recovery, backup ROM and just restore backup if you need it.
But really....how many times you think he will forget his unlock pattern?

You can try to get recovery and install another rom, wiping out the old. Then get an ftf and flash it? This only works if the phone has an unlocked bootloader. Since you can't access the recovery, you'll have to flash a kernel.

Why do this, if you are going to flash an FTF, just flash it
This only works if the phone has an unlocked bootloader

NO, flashing FTFs and rooting and installing recovery specifically does NOT require an unlocked bootloader
. Since you can't access the recovery, you'll have to flash a kernel.

Well he said flashtool detected the phone as being locked so I'm guessing he can't flash any ftf. He also said he can't access recovery. I don't know if it's possible to reflash recovery so I went with installing another kernel which needs an unlocked bootloader. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

Yes flashing a custom kernel requires an unlocked bootloader. But flashtool reports the status of the bootloader when you attach it, however, it will always be able to flash a FTF regardless of the status of the bootloader.

I understand but what about flashtool detecting the phone as being locked? Can he still flash ftfs even without knowing the passcode?

Yes, the phone should be off powered off (And entering flashmode which does not need to unlock the phone) when flashing FTFs
Just think, if you have a passcode on it and try to flash a FTF, when does it ask you to enter the passcode?
