What about this thread? If you need just some files from the backup, simply rename system.ext4.win to system.tar.gz and extract as needed…

Before I flash a custom rom, I nandroid backup my Gingerbread rom first. But now, when I tried restoring it, it says that MD5 checksum not found. Any idea why that happens? Will I be able to restore it again? By the way, it has no games or apps that I downloaded in it, I just upgraded to GB and backup and flashed a custom rom.

What do you mean about the backup folder? The backup folder in my sdcard or the nandroid backup I have in my cwm folder?
EDIT: Also, what is the cause of that problem?

So, does that mean that even if I back up my stock rom, it won't work and it only works on custom rom? Then if I'm on stock, I won't be able to restore my custom rom because cwm doesn't work on stock rom?

Sorry for another noob question, but I hope this is my last one
So, recovering custom on custom works too? I guess I just have to flash stock rom if I needed to.
Also, why can I open cwm on stock but they said it doesn't work on it. Do they mean, nandroid backup doesn't work on stock even if you do?
I feel so stupid right now for these questions (._.)

If you're on stock ROM you'll have to flash this first
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2186155
Otherwise it won't work with zipped boot animations.

No. It will just replace a few files in system to make it work with zipped animations instead.
You need a custom recovery, like cwm or twrp to flash it.
