[Q] Help on getting back to stock ROM on my HTC One - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I recently unlocked, rooted and flashed my HTC One to the latest JB 4.3 ROM. I must say I like the overall experience.
But right now I have the situation that I need to send the phone for a replacement/repair after having dropped my phone from my knee high pocket while trying to put it in. It hit the ground on the bottom edge and now the speaker mic is not functioning properly. I have to always speak with a headset during phone calls.
Its pretty much clear to me that I need to resort to the stock ROM before sending in my phone, RIGHT?
So in light of that, here are the details of my phone:
C:\fastboot>fastboot getvar all
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.54.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4A.17.3250.14
(bootloader) version-cpld: None
(bootloader) version-microp: None
(bootloader) version-main: 2.24.401.1
(bootloader) version-misc: PVT SHIP S-ON
(bootloader) serialno: HT********************
(bootloader) imei: 3**************************
(bootloader) meid: 00000000000000
(bootloader) product: m7_ul
(bootloader) platform: HBOOT-8064
(bootloader) modelid: PN0710000
(bootloader) cidnum: HTC__Y13
(bootloader) battery-status: good
(bootloader) battery-voltage: 4201mV
(bootloader) partition-layout: Generic
(bootloader) security: on
(bootloader) build-mode: SHIP
(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
(bootloader) commitno-bootloader: dirty-d16dc66985
(bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 11
(bootloader) gencheckpt: 0
all: Done!
finished. total time: 0.056s
So my question is what is the right RUU release that I need to use to go back to stock ROM with Jelly Bean 4.2.2 ( since my phone, as I last checked, didn't have the update to JB 4.3 from my carrier).
And oh yeah, my service provider is Tele2 Sweden.
Thanks a lot [ forgive my lengthy thread]!

There isn't an RUU mate for that OS and being that you are S-On on Hboot 1.54, there isn't a way to go 100% stock as without S-Off, you can't remove the tampered flag, change the relocked back to locked or flash an older RUU ... You can however flash a stock ROM from mike1986's thread, install stock recovery and then relock your bootloader.
http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.co.uk/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html .. thats the download site but check this thread aswell for any instructions you may need .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618

[Q] Help Required to return HTC ONE back to stock.

Right, I'll explain what I've done.
I've unlocked and rooted the phone with no problems and have been running Android Revolution HD for a couple of weeks. Stupidly, I never backed up the phone!! I was having some issues so decided to try a different ROM but thats when things started getting strange. I then decided to run a RUU and return to stock but didn't know my firmware version so I used cmd and found the below
C:\FastBoot>fastboot getvar all

I don't have a main version number, must have deleted it!!! Also, my superSU and superuser app don't work - I don't have the correct binaries.
I am a noob and now am stuck with what to do next. If any one could help it would be muchly appreciated.
Thanks.

I din't understand what you are asking here.
So correct me if i am wrong, you wan't to flash the required firmware you want.. ryt?
if that's the case, you will have to S-off your device
follow the steps here and S-OFF
rumrunner.us
EDIT:
i just realized that you don't have the firmware version being displayed, i will look for some alternative and get back to you
Thank Prash8429, any guidance is most welcome. I've been going round in circles for days.

[Q] I want to get my phone to get ota updates

Hi guys,
To make a long story short, I messed up my phone to a soft brick, revived it, and am now trying to get it back to near normal. I am currently running 6.09.401.12 odex rom by mike1986 on my at&t htc one m7. Question is, is it possible to get an ota update by downgrading my rom to an at&t rom lower than 5.12.502.2? And then get an OTA update? As an aside, on mike's rom (for international htc one) the gps takes a very long time to lock and only shows a blue dot on google maps/no compass mode. Dont know if this has to do with different type of rom or not. So how can I get back to stock while being S-ON? And I accidentally deleted my nandroids while wiping my pc (I know really stupid I did not flash a new radio/using stock radio. Here is output of system getvar:

You flash stock RUU.exe
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Free mobile app
I did not flash the RUU, I had flashed the firmware 7.15.401.1 from https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LQDLpVZYyUpXPgC2sh1BvAS9Oo8B-fTiZU_JhpIH-fU/pubhtml#
And I am thinking that I overwrote the radio with a version that is not proper for my phone.
But I dont really have alot of knowledge about this so please advise me.

it wont effect your phone in that way, if you have signal, then go into your apn settings and reset them to defaults, you will then be taken to the first start up page again and have to select your operator again from the list of available operators, like you did when you first got the phone or when you install a new rom.
remove you IMEI and Serial number from your first post, its not good to post them, they guy who quoted you will also need to do the same.

Are you certain about this? The fastboot output indicates that the baseband has changed since I flashed the new firmware

just try it, its not going to hurt, just goto settings - mobile data - access point names - (3dot menu in the top right corner) select that and then select reset defaults.
Of course the baseband has changed, the newer firmware had a newer radio file in it, its not a radio file like your thinking though, its more of a software controller for a piece of hardw2are in your phone, just like every piece of hardware on your computer needs a driver, so does your phone.
The 401 firmware you flashed is basically WWE (World Wide English), if it had messed up you'd probably be hard bricked.

THanks, for explaining that to me
I just tried the same sim card in my galaxy s3 mini (unlocked) and it doesnt work in that phone at all (no calls or data). I think the sim may be defective, will get a new one and try again.
Thanks for your help
Edit: I did as you said in the m7 and even did a factory reset to make sure and results where the same. Looks like I got a bad sim card
@ Seanie280672: Thanks for your help bro
It just started working again after I installed ViperRom 7
Strange thing, just started working out of the blue but I am happy that is is resolved

Help (M7 HTC)

Hi all,
Really need some basic English help with a phone I've got.
Story goes that I accepted an OTA update for what I'm assuming was Lollipop, short and sweet version of this story is that the OTA soft bricked my phone, my own fault for doing it on a dodgy wifi connection.
Anyway, I managed to flash a custom ROM onto the phone and it's been fine ever since ... however as it's a work phone they have decided to change from O2/3 Ireland to Vodafone Ireland and the phone would not accept the unlock code due to it running a custom ROM and having the bootlocker unlocked/tampered (S-ON was always the case throughout, I never could manage to turn that OFF)
Now I was told that by connecting to a PC and running FASTBOOT I could lock the BOOTLOCKER back up and then flash an official ROM back to the phone to make it 'stock'.
Can I do this?? Nope.!!! I've got as far as getting the phone into the black screen with HTC written on it but every ROM I've tried just fails to update.
This is the results of a var/getall

Can anybody help me at all? All I want to do is get the phone up and running and then use the SIM unlock code so I can then use my new SIM.
Thank you in advance.

I tried to fix it.. now I need your help :(

I'll keep this short but explain as much as I can, even though I'm not very technically skilled with any of this modding stuff .
I was running some rom for a while, I believe it was close to stock, rooted, running Superuser with TWRP etc. One day I managed to update Superuser and it caused a bootloop. Desperately trying to sort it out I've read numerous posts on recovering from bootloops etc but it has mostly resulted in me removing TWRP and reinstalling the same ROM / something similar and running recovery etc but to no avail..
Phone is currently ***Tampered*** & ***Relocked***

If there's anyone out there willing to help out that would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm afraid the point where I could fix this on my own is long gone
Goal is to get the phone close to stock and receieve official updates from HTC. I just want it to be functional at this point.

I highly doubt there will be any official updates for M7, but you can run RUU. That will bring you back to full stock. Also, since you're s-off, you didn't need to relock your bootloader

Figured relocking was pointless after reading some more.. Managed to unlock it again and get TWRP back and install Slim 6 after the full wipe (No idea if it's any good yet) I'm having some issues with getting the SIM to be registered but I'm hopeful I can get it working soon.
If I were to go back to full stock, could you easily point out which one is the right one for my device?

Since you're s-off, pretty much any x.xx.401.xx RUU will flash just fine. You can even downgrade to KK and take updates to the last one
