[Xperia V] 9.1.A.1.145 - Russia. SUS decrypted
Here's my SUS updated and Flashtool FTFed firmware, region - Russia. Haven't checked it out. Hope it works fine. (it's confirmed working)
9.1.A.1.145
Althought I got questions on rooting the device, cause mine doesn't. Hope it'll be fixed soon.
I would say the only difference of this firmware from other (I mean Russian customization) is in the additional software installed, so the FW is the same as Nordic or Taiwan.

I think i'll try to install on my phone.
Just sume dumb questions before...
1) Does it include all the languages? (Or at least Brazilian Portuguese, which is my case)
2) Is it ok to install a firmware from a different region?
3) Did you notice any significant changes from a previous FW? (.140)
4) Has anyone tried to install it yet? Is it working?

Yes.
The list of languages available was full of options when i opened it.
I quickly selected Brazilian Portuguese and didn't read the others, but i'm pretty sure Spanish was there too.

Flashed this FTF fine. I am Russian but got the phone form Singapore and was on the Singaporean firmwares. Anyway I wanted to wipe my data and cache, and this firmware came across. It's working fine, flashed OK.
Thank you for providing the link.

i just want to know isnt this update capable of auto rotating the homescreen ?
Mine home screen and launcher don't rotate too.

just some preinstalled apps and nothing more.
BUG: No NFC notification not showing in the bar...
Everything is as good as with 140 firmware for now. One thing we noticed that homescreen and launcher don't rotate. I personally use almost only Reddit Sync, Xda, Ingress and Feedly apps along with Google+ and Gmail , so can't tell if there something broken with music playing for example. GPS works as **** as in previous firmware. Battery life looks better, but maybe it's a placebo effect or because I didn't install all the **** yet. Also there were Opera Mini and Evernote preinstalled in this firmware (fully uninstallable).
my battery backup
first image is from .....140 firmware and the next one is this .145 firmware
flashed this and then did a repair with pc companion just in case
phone does seem a bit nippier my 3g connection is stronger or maybe just coincidence now get 3g+ and h+ in bar instead of 3g and h+ a few different apps which can be disabled home screen does not rotate but does when in charging dock ,wifi is still spot and battery seems a bit better
overall I believe my phone is a little bit smoother but I use my phone for internet and streaming more than anything and have facebook etc disabled and each persons phone will probs run slightly different the way it is set up
I can't disable the data roaming with H3G (in Italy) and Xperia T. I've disabled the data roaming but, after a while, if I go to the options menu, it is enabled again, without any action of mine. The firmware is the 9.1.A.1.140.
Any help?
Thanks

Not, it's not working. And the problem is still there with android 4.3 and 4.4.4.
I have an xperia z and I have the same problem. Sony does not have any intrest in this. There is a big discussion in talk.sonymobile but sony says that it's all good and it's my fault.
so now I'm looking for a lawyer to get refound from sony.
Even if roaming is disabled when shifting from 3g (h3g) to gms (tim roaming) data tranfer is always on.
Any idea?

and I tried UK, central europe and CH
once it worked with CH 4.3 because they have the two options: national and international roaming.
but now it does not work anymore.
a solution was to add a comment line to system/build.prop
ro.roaming.extended=true
ro.roaming.extended_rule=1
not possible anymore because cannot root 4.4.4
---------- Post added at 01:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:51 PM ----------
once root will be possibile on 4.4.4 I'll change custom n° again to generic italian and I will add

ro.roaming.extended_rule=1
for now the only solution is (when in italy because international roaming is ok) to force 3g connection only with no gsm

hmm....i don't believe any of them can be installed with a locked bootloader since you have to install a boot.img after the rom.
As far as I know all c6606 are locked and unlocking is not allowed. If anyone knows otherwise and knows of any genuine services that unlock the boot loader I would love to know.

Hello, the reason I need the old firware is because my phone is in a bootloop and can't use the phone at all so I can't enable unknown sources or activate usb debugging which is what I need to root, I remember that with this old firmware I could still access the phone, I'm new to all this so it is confusing for me. This xperia phone is a pain inthe***.
Update: The update completed, but I don't see any difference, still N7000XXLT5, 4.1.2.
I was already running stock 4.1.2, Dutch version, updated via Kies. Anybody knows what this is? It's still updating.

I had an auto update (UK, sim free) this week and since then the battery drain has been astonishingly bad. Maybe 3 hours on standby. Hello everyone!
I bought an unlocked Xperia SP in Brasil last year. Today I live in Missouri, United States and I'm having data connection problems with my device from Brazil. Since I arrived here, I only got EDGE data connection. I have tried two different SIM cards from different american companies, such as Ultra and T-Mobile. Now I'm with T-Mobile Pre-Paid Plan and I still have the same issue.
After some research, I found out that this problem can be some frequency incompatibility between brazilian and american devices.
I would like to know more information about it and try to solve my problem. I can not stay on EDGE anymore, is so slow...
Anyone has a solution?

Hello Joke!
Thanks for your reply.
I read all the thread that you've suggested.
I've tried to download the FTF file in MEGA website but I couldn't.
Anyway, if I flash this, my Xperia SP will be able to work in the US frequency?
I'm worried about coming back to Brasil, maybe I will need my original FTF to install again, right?
I'm a little confused about it. Could you help me to get this more clear?
Thank you buddy

Reading about your issue, the 3G bands in USA are different from Brazil, most common bands is USA are 850/1900 Mhz, and Brazil most common are 900/1800 Mhz, this could be the reason why your phone does not connect to 3G

I Hi read the second post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2621223. U can flash the American tft.
U have CWM recovery and or unlocked bootloader? Because u tell us that u want go to Brazil so u can make an nandroid backup from ur Brazil firmware. When u change the country u must only restore the system over CWM custom restore. So u can hold ur settings apps etc.
Don't forget the two firmwares need CWM recovery.
Or this is an option for locked bootloader.

I think never again problems with baseband.
But for cm10 and baseband other people can maybe answer better because I'm in Europe with a 5303.

Hi @joke19! Firstly, thank you for the help. It opened my mind about the way to fix the problem.
Those are the things that I made, following your directions and some others that I found on the Web:
- Checked if my bootloader was locked and if could I unlock it.
- Unlocked my Bootloader requiring the key from "unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com"
- Installed the CWM Recovery the correct Kernel (Kernel_FW-266_v01.elf)
- Made a backup of my phone using the CWM
- Tried to flash the ROMs (TFT files) from another countries (HERE IS WHERE STAY MY PROBLEMS). I used the Sony Mobile Flasher by Androxyde.
First of all, I flashed "C5303_12.1.A.0.266_CE.tft" (Generic Universal). Everything gone well but the data service continued to provide only 2g.
After that, I flashed "C5303_12.1.A.0.266_Generic PH.tft" (Unbranded/Philippines). Everything went well too and the problem still happens until now, only EDGE.
--> I didn't find the US TFT file, that's why I tried with the Universal and with the one from Philippines.
--> After all the flash procedures I tried to change the service providers, restart the phone, wait for 1 day, etc. Nothing happened.
What should I do?
Thank you man.

Hi @joke19. I've tried to force 3G under mobile data settings (service providers) since the begining, but I always receive the message "Could not connect to the selected network. Make sure the SIM card is inserted or the selected network is available".
My SIM card is properly inserted and it is from T-Mobile. The only 3G service provider shown at the settings to choose is from AT&T.
However, I downloaded 4 different ROMs (TFT files) since yesterday all I will try tomorrow each one, until I get the solution.
I will let you know about the results.
Thank you again.

However, I downloaded 4 different ROMs (TFT files) since yesterday all I will try tomorrow each one, until I get the solution.
I will let you know about the results.
Thank you again.

Your problem is you have the wrong radio baseband for america it determines what frequency's you handset can receive I would have thought it would come bundled with the american ftf but as your problem is persisting see if you can find an american baseband ftf and flash that

Thanks @Captain Sweatpants!
I'll try to find an american baseband tft and flash it.
I found one, as suggested by @joke19 in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51418062&postcount=15. However, it is for C5306. It might cause problems flashing another model TFT file, right?
AT&T have to be chosen
I posted a reply to the thread that @joke19 suggested. One guy answered and told that ROM flashings will not work. I have to choose the proper operator, which in my case is AT&T.

I wouldn't flash that the radio is one of the first things to boot and can hard brick a device if its not compatible. You are on the right track though keep looking for one for your model
Edit:
I just called Sony mobile and asked them what the difference is between the c5306 and the c5303 they said that the hardware is identical the only difference is where the phone was made for so UK is C5303 USA is C5306 ect the difference being the radio frequencies its tuned to so flashing the baseband from the C5306 should work but what I said before still stands. Flashing a baseband is risky. See if someone has tried before and what the outcome was. The man from Sony seemed to think it would work but obviously wouldnt officially condone it.

@Captain Sweatpants, thank you so much!
Your comment is very helpful. Thanks for calling them.
Next week I will go to an AT&T store here and try to make some test with their SIM card.
If I can not get the service I will have my last try which is flash a c5306 TFT file.
Let's see what happens.
Thank you
