Update: The update completed, but I don't see any difference, still N7000XXLT5, 4.1.2.
I was already running stock 4.1.2, Dutch version, updated via Kies. Anybody knows what this is? It's still updating.

I have this update by OTA. After downloading en rebooting my phone don't install. The note starts continu.
Any idea what the update changes? Really paranoid about it applying region lock. I have an international note (uk) and travel a bit so SIM swapping is a must.

Chanced it, installed the OTA update, things seem a bit smoother now. Just hope it hasn't region locked my phone!

recent auto update cause rapid battery drain?
I had an auto update (UK, sim free) this week and since then the battery drain has been astonishingly bad. Maybe 3 hours on standby. I've tried two other batteries and get pretty much the same result - the usage says it's 80-90% Exchange even though I've tried changing it from push to 1 hour checks. My note is now unusable

the region lock goes away permanently if you use a SIM of that country for 5 min voice call. It's to check grey market imports. Don't worry

the strange thing is that the "cheese"function was only available in 10f. I guess 10e could be exaclty like 10f but since is for Indian, they are just calling it 10e for some reason

Where do you find those link in LG website? Is there a oficial link where you can always check the latest FW ?
when i bought the phone it was on 10c and has cheese option in camera
and updated to 10f and i have it again
Indonesia also just receive update V10E this morning. Total 453 MB must be download via PC.
I think this update is for all East Asia countries, with reference from LG India release.
Still 4.0.3 thought.

I dont think there will be a 4.0.4 , i think when Lg update the 4X HD,it will be directly to jellybean.
Why is this update not available throu OTA? I thought all ICS devices would have the hability to update itself to OTA.
[Question]: Does this phone have a FW autoupdate function (when available) ?
Thailand'firmware was updated to V10E too.

A user from Malaysia in O4X FB group reported he can update via OTA, only 30MB.
Yes this phone have auto update notification, you can find app Software Update in tray, there's schedule date for checking new update on server.
Unfortunately we can't change the schedule date, but we can force manual check.

Hello,
I have a samsung s5 mini and I am planning on rooting it but I require assistance as there are many different model types e.g. G800F, G800Y, G800H etc.
I am from Australia and my phone is locked to a single carrier and was wondering if this could affect the root process, I can't post a photo of the about device but I'll type it

As in its locked to Telstra only, so if I for example get a sim card from another service provider... say optus it won't register on the phone. So it only accepts the telstra sim cards. I'm worried it may affect the rooting process. And if so do i have to unlock it to accept other service providers in order to root.
Good day everyone,
I bought a Factory Unlocked AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 off eBay and I want to update the phone to Lollipop (presently running Android 4.4.2). I am not located in the USA so I won't be able to connect to AT&T's network to perform the update. Is there any other way that I can get the phone to update to Lollipop? Thanks for any assistance anyone can give me. :good:

I was able to download an Odin installer and flash Lollipop to the Galaxy S5 but I am still unable to retrieve updates from AT&T's server. I know there has been a recent update to the phone post Lollipop update. Just mentioning that I am not based in the US. Thanks.
If you're on 5.0 the only thing really in the update is they enabled WiFi tethering. No battery fixes
Also its still on 5.0

Hmmm ok cool. Thanks for your assistance.
Up until the April(?) update, my 813 would hold a charge for weeks (infrequent usage, wifi off when sleeping).. After the April update, the battery drained in ~3 days. Tried a factory reset.. no dice.
Using Odin3, I downloaded the November 2018 version from
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
and back to the way it was.

I didn't write down the version.. but I got it as an update ~April 2019
My only reference would be looking at
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-tab-s2/firmware/SM-T813/
and they don't seem to show US versions. (seems very odd to me that there isn't official??? firmware from Samsung to let a user reinstall from scratch)
anyway, I "fixed" it by picking the UK Nov 2018 version. Not perfect, but it was better than sticking with the battery sucker.

Ya it seems whatever they did to 2019 builds for both the T713 and T813 ruined battery life.
There seems to be a pattern here. I will stay on the end 2018 builds.

Again, keep in mind I went to XAT by accident.. but I can live with that
There is also a newer Oct 2019 update, but I have not been asked to, not applied it yet.
The update is pretty hefty, weighing in at 882M. Downloaded and installed in about 10 minutes. One cosmetic thing I noticed immediately is that it makes the NFC icon persistent when it's on (previous builds only showed the icon when you pulled down the notification shade). The annoying charging status on the AOD screen is still there. Was hoping that went away after being introduced in the last build.
any possibility i can grab the zip to flash?
