Back to great battery life finally almost 50 hrs
Its been many builds since I got great battery life... With live wallpaper, script number 9 mega ram, savage zen 2.2, no hepatic feedback, all notifications occur same time of day, bright to less then 40,. No juice defender but I do use auto wifi...
Heavy use as you can see..!
where to get it? oh, google has it.
It's for O2x or G2x? I only can find the G2x version

camera never works. Stable?
Which baseband are you using?
My phone freezes sometimes and somtimes i cant boot the phone with this version of miui. The reason for this behaviour is maybe the vorkkernel i have flashed with ext4 but idk...
Using baseband 823 and ril and the batterylife is terrible. Only passing a half day when fully charged and doing nothing spezial.
The most battery consuming app seems to be the mobilestandby process.
So, in my opinion this is sadly the worst miui release ever.

Hi guys, maybe you read this question a lot of times...
In your opinion which is the best battery friendly ROM for our device atm? I don't really care about performance aspects because I'm not a gamer

I get +/- 1 day on stock JB (GPS always ON, data always On). Last time i tried CM (RC2) i didn't get 6h...
I'm currently getting a decent ammount of battery life with CM Nightly 20130613 + Idoak v6 kernel.
Also Stock ROM with Idoak kernel is good aswell. Just have my Governor set to Interactive and seems to do a pretty well job.

From what I've read/heard around. The CM RC version are alot more buggy and problematic than the Nightlies. I haven't tried the RCs myself tho the Nightly does feel pretty smooth and stable.
Which firmware?
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda premium
ROM has little to nothing to do with battery life, aside from the obvious settings you can select to turn opn or off features. what does influence battery life is how you use the phone and in particular 3 key elements
1) Kernel - Stock kernel is pretty limited, using alternative kernels will allow different governor and scheduler options along with frequency and voltage control
2) Tweaks - many unsuspectable little things can change the way your phone drains, probably the best way to start is getting pimp my rom from the plauy store
3) Apps - You will need apps to help managing and scheduling when and how the phone drains. LBE security master or any other task manager will prevent unwanted app startings and others like juice defender or other battery saving programs help with which interfaces are on and when.
Also keep in mind that if your phone is new the battery in the first 3-4 days need to settle and will change drastically behaviour.
Hope this helps
In any case a catania sto telefono te lo fanno prima della terza ricarica quindi non mi starei a preoccupar troppo
Grazie XD
In this case which kernel and governor do you suggest me?
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda premium
Stock rom, remove LG MLT and Google Backup Service and you should be good.
I can leave my phone for 2 days without worrying about charging it. However, with screen set to 50 or 100% brightness, the battery drains very fast.
Otherwise, keep your screen brigthness low and get a governor that lets you throttle the CPU. At 800 MHz,you should be fine. Also, dont use auto brightness, it will not help.
Thank you which firmware?

Could someone help on what r the steps for install custom ROMS and Wich one is the best for battery life I'm having very very huge battery problem. The battery it's long for about 3 hours tops and I need to keep charging always and also the overheat is extremely. I will appreciate ur help

Sorry but you should write a new topic for this problem... Anyway there are several guides in this section that revolve about how to install custom roms. Try looking there... However generally after installed a recovery you should do a full wipe (data/cache/dalvik) -> install zip from sd card -> choose zip from internal/external sd card -> [file directory] -> choose file -> yes

I dont know if iodak improves battery life, but I do not think that battery improved with CM. It actually got worse for me,
XenonHD + iodak v06 has been very smooth and battery friendly. A day and a half of moderate use and I'm sitting at 18%

Cm (02/07) + Optimus Prime V1.9. I use cm because it's (IMO) the best way to enjoy the android experience. Also because all the mods are compatible with cm.
The reason i use this kernel is because of the performance/battery life.
Cheers
Stock v20a Euro with stock kernel I deleted some applications that come preinstaled and now everything is fine.Using stock because i like LG UI 3 and because i didnt yet installed CWM If anuyone can recomend guild how to instal CWM (best version for our phone) please do so
P.S. mine 20a Euro is unlocked and rooted.
Zaiben ROM and eternity project kernel, best performance and battery life, first time that I don't need to lower the graphics of real racing 3 to ir run lag free, also first time that I run butterly smooth mc4 and 10 hours sleeping with only 8% drop

well, I used to enjoy playing some Tegra games on it, but I just hope there's something to smoothen the performance and enhance the battery life as it is now still very disappointing.

Umm? So you play 38 hours with screen off? Including 30 hours without battery? Wow -- would you mind sharing that trick?
This is a really useful thread indeed, as one can not only learn which ROMs are available but also how stable/battery-saving etc. they are. What I'm still missing are the links to the ROMs sources. Would be great if you could include them! Thanks

Hi everyone!
My Girlferind has a s3 mini. I rooted her phone and installed DmodV3N custom Rom 3~4 months ago. Everything is going well except the extraordinary battery consumption problem. She used the great app 'greenify' and day to day operation is very smooth. But battery won't last 8 hr even under normal to light use. So, I finally decided to flash a new Rom to her phone. Can anyone recommend me a stable and performance oriented custom Rom with least battery consumption? Better not based on stock Rom, and no touchwiz UI.
thanks in advance!!

Battery drain is extreme. I was on 40% and after 2 hours it went to 15% with almost no use.
Google sync also doesn't work. Couldn't get my contacts loaded, nor my gmail.
I confirm battery drain, even in the last nightly (12-09).
Compared to 10.2 ROM, I have a less efficient wifi signal.

Turns out I was misled -- there have been changes, but BBQLog is broken for the CM11 side. Oddly even with the addition of Whisperpush, the zip size listed on get.cm has hardly changed over the past week.
Someone was kind enough to point out an alternative: http://www.cmxlog.com/11/mint which shows lots-o-changes. Looks like I'll be downloading this soon to check it out.
